Pho small

Pretty good! Portions are smaller for your typical pho restaurant and prices higher. Small means small here, though it is very filling. Food was ready very quickly and was delicious. My pho meat was dry but flavorful, the broth was easily the best part. My friends chicken was very delicious and juicy. Seating area was very large and had good music. Overall B+

Maybe I should've ordered pho instead, but I was very disappointed with my visit here. My friend and I were just craving Vietnamese food one day, so we stopped by ATL Pho for a quick lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated very quickly that I thought service was going to be amazing. But once we ordered and got our food, we weren't checked on again. Not even once. Not even to give us to go boxes or our checks. We had to go to the register for that. Even the food was unimpressive. As a Vietnamese, I didn't think you could mess up Vietnamese food. My friend ordered a rice with beef dish while I ordered the Bun Tom Thit Nuong. Her dish was very bland. It looked amazing by sight, but it didn't taste flavorful at all. My dish was exactly what I wanted in terms of food and flavor of the meat, but I definitely could've used some fish sauce or even any kind of sauce for the rest of my dish. It as well tasted more on the bland side. But also, how do you eat bun without any kind of sauce? I kept wanting to ask for some, but nobody ever came to our table or to check on us. I will say that their portion sizes are great and prices are comparable to other restaurants for these dishes. However, I was very displeased and will more than likely drive somewhere further for Vietnamese food next time. I can't believe I paid that price just to eat such bland food and receive such minimal service. But also, food shouldn't NEED extra sauces or seasoning to be appetizing.

My family and I love pho! We have been all over Gwinnett to find the perfect spot and we think we finally found it. It's not just the perfect broth but the service is so rare amongst other Pho places. The constant check-in , the quality and quantity are perfect. The atmosphere of the restaurant is perfect for a cozy dine in. Not the fanciest of places but does that really matter in the end? We care for food and service and ATL Pho exceptionally provides both. If you have your spot out of plenty that's fine but this one is what we call home. Thank you for the wonderful service and kindness but most of all, the great food that you serve.

Stopped by for lunch. I ordered the large pho tai bo vien. My friend ordered the grilled pork rice platter and com chien bo luc lac (shaking beef with fried rice). My friend let me try the shaking beef, it was flavorful. The broth for the pho is more rich than the i luv pho in snellville. The meatballs were fresh. The thinly slice rare steak was at the perfect level of rarity. It came with beansprouts and basil and no culantro :( Overall, the broth is about 3/5, the rest are 4/5. It was a good lunch and we didn't have to go far. The service was prompt and the food came out fairly quick. Not a bad place for lunch, but definitely not the best pho place in Atlanta. Oh just a note, they increased prices for the majority of the items in their menu. See pictures.

The pho was amazing! 10/10 would recommend. The food came out really fast and waitress was very kind.

If you are used to authentic Pho DO NOT GO HERE!!! It had no aroma, the flank steak Pho came already cooked in the broth. The steak tasted old. It is okay but not going back. Haven't found a really good Vietnamese restaurant yet. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Favorite local eatery for a hot and inviting bowl of Pho. I have tried, seafood, vegetable, and a chicken variety and never disappointed. They offer dine in and take out that meet social distancing guidelines. As the temperature drops I will be here more often to warm my soul with good eats.

Wow! Setting: just a typical pho place injected into a small shopping strip. Lots of seats, not too fancy. Food: super good! My dad and I ordered the pho tai nam. Meat was tender! Soup was savory! Noodles were just right! This was a breath of fresh air. The last few places we went too either had noodles that were too soggy or too chewy. I didn't think rice noodles would take too much to prepare but ATL Pho got it right! Service: Friendly! Quick! Cost: typical pricing. A small, a medium, and a large to-go was ~$30 before tip.

I needed a taro fix but didn't want to go downtown. So I tried this place. I've seen for a while but never tried their food. Today was not that day to eat. I just wanted my smoothie. I was so excited but that was soon deflated. They don't sell tapioca? Boba? Bubbles? OMG! No, they're not out. They don't sell it at all. I was thirsty enough to try it anyways. It was pretty good. Still disappointed it had no boba. But tasted great. Was it worth $5? No. That price was high considering there was no tapioca. I'm just saying. I'll consider giving them 5 stars when they get tapioca #ashsaidit

Stopped in for a bowl of Pho Ga on a Monday evening... Dining area is very large. A server came right over to seat me and hand me a menu. I looked the menu over - even though I was going to order Pho Ga. The bowl came out in short order, steaming away. The plate of aromatics/veggies was fresh and crisp. I added everything to the bowl. The flavor of the chicken broth was good. The one thing I did not like was how thick the chicken was sliced. I like the chicken to be thinly sliced - or shredded. Service was good! If you go in - look for the Christmas Tree against the far wall. I asked why they had a Christmas Tree up in April? They have no place to put it! #AltPho

Great Pho... I've had pho at a few places around the city and this was the closest to authentic pho. The herbs and sprouts were fresh and broth well flavored. Normally I like to add other sauces to my pho but there weren't any readily available. I could have asked but did not and the pho was still delicious. This will be my local pho spot. Want to see how good it was check the photos.

Been to the other location many times, first time for this location today. The restaurant is in a very cool asian mall that has just about anything you could want. Plenty of easy parking is always bonus. I ordered fried spring rolls and a crepe. Our waitress came back and tole me they had no fried spring rolls would I like something else? I said ok, I will have the fresh shrimp roll and a fresh pork roll. The shrimp roll was what you usually get and it was good. The pork roll I have never had and it was unbelievably delicious. I will get that again for sure. The crepe was excellent and came with more herbs than I could use or identify. Could have used another lettuce leaf though. Megan had her usual, the grilled pork bun (not a roll bun, it is noodles and lettuce in a bowl). Her grilled pork was great. Bun usually comes with fried spring rolls, and hers did! Why couldn't I get mine? Doesn't matter, it was great and I will be back. I saw that they have crab and asparagus soup, a menu item I like but do not see often. Next time!

Nam Phuong - Jimmy Carter Blvd, Norcross, GA…read more Nam Phuong is a great spot for family-style Vietnamese dishes and sharing plates. Three Delights Platter (Nam Phuong Ba Vị) I actually saw this on TikTok and had to try it. This platter comes with pork slices (thịt luộc), beef wrapped in betel leaves (bò lá lốt), and shrimp paste on sugarcane (chạo tôm), served with vermicelli noodles (bún) and fresh herbs. Our favorite combo was the pork and shrimp wrapped with veggies in rice paper. The betel leaf beef tasted a bit bland to us -- not sure if we're eating it correctly? Bánh Xèo (Vietnamese Crispy Crepe) -- 9/10 One of my must-orders here. It's a big crispy Vietnamese crepe with a golden exterior. Inside there are shrimp and bean sprouts, with a light coconut flavor in the batter. Break off a piece, wrap it with lettuce and herbs, and dip it in fish sauce (nước mắm). So good. Salt & Pepper Squid (Mực Rang Muối) -- 9/10 One of their most popular appetizers. The squid is fried until crispy and tossed with garlic and salt-pepper seasoning. Crunchy and savory. Fish Sauce Wings (Cánh Gà Chiên Nước Mắm) -- 8.8/10 Deep-fried until crispy, then tossed in a sweet caramelized fish sauce glaze with garlic and a little spice. Sticky, crispy, and super addictive, though it was a little sweeter than usual this time. Papaya Salad (Gỏi Đu Đủ Tôm Thịt) -- 8/10 Shredded green papaya, shrimp, and pork tossed in a sweet-sour fish sauce and lime dressing. Flavorful.

We were sat right away when we walked in and were handed some menus. Half the menu was unreadable from being wiped so many times, but we were interested in their lunch special. We ordered the beef pho, combination black pepper sauce and pork banh mi. The service is no frills. They literally dropped a bottle of water off and you have to pour it yourself. They never check on you after dropping off the food. On to the food, the portions are a good size. The beef pho has a nice broth flavor with served slices of beef. The combination black pepper sauce comes in a pot and I like that it was piping hot and the flavor is good and the rice got crispy. I ordered the sandwich to bring home, but they don't provide to go boxes. So bring your own if you want to take leftovers. It took me a while to get the servers attention to pay. You are able to Apple Pay table side, which was convenient. Overall 3.5* for value but definitely not service.

When it comes to…read moreVietnamese food in metro Atlanta, I think this restaurant is among the better options and my Asian/Vietnamese foodie friends generally agree. Where this place lacks - at least in our experience today - is in service and ambiance (even by casual Vietnamese restaurant standards). Hu Tieu My Tho opened in October 2019 and is located in the popular Hong Kong Supermarket shopping center on Jimmy Carter Blvd, near I-85 exit 99. Locals know this as the hub for the Vietnamese community in Atlanta. On weekends and holidays, it can get crowded. The restaurant name comes from the Vietnamese dish "hu tieu," which is a clear rice noodle dish, and "My Tho," which is the specific southern city in Vietnam where this style of cuisine was perfected. This is not a pho restaurant. Instead, this place specializes in both hu tieu and "mi" (egg noodles) as well as other dishes like Vietnamese steak and eggs. It's fairly unique, which is a big part of the draw and appeal. Here's what three of us had: A1. Goi Cuon (2 for $5.50) x2 - spring rolls with shrimp and pork A3. Cha Gio (2 for $5.25) - fried egg rolls D15. Ca Phe Sua Da ($5.99) - Vietnamese coffee H3. Hu Tieu My Tho Dac Biet ($15.50) - House Special Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, crab, fish ball, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail eggs, bone-on pork shank H6. Hu Tieu Nam Vang ($14.50) - Phnom Penh-style Rice Noodle Soup - char siu, shrimp, pork liver, pork heart, ground pork, quail egg, squid H10. Hu Tieu Bo Kho ($14.99) - Beef Stew Rice Noodle Soup - round and flank beef, carrots M5. Mi Hoanh Thanh ($14.50) - Wonton with Egg Noodle Soup - char siu, wontons Everything was fresh and tasty. When it comes to the hu tieu, the restaurant gives you the option of soft or firm noodle texture. In addition, you can get dishes "dry" (no soup) or with soup. If it's your first time, you should try the traditional way with soup. I really like the variety of hu tieu and mi offered here; for example, my friend likes the Phnom Penh-style noodle soup, which is Cambodian. Overall, I found the food to be solid all around. After we were initially seated and served, the staff never checked on us again. I think this was partly because they were busy. I noticed at least two other tables having the same problem we did -- having to flag down a server. As for ambiance, seating was tight. I actually refrained from ordering an extra dish because of the lack of table space. And, while not uncommon for Vietnamese restaurants, multiple tables weren't immediately cleaned. Also, the men's restroom was dirty. I'd like to return and try one of the steak and egg dishes; for example S1. Chao Xiu Mai ($15.99), S2. Banh Mi Chao Dac Biet ($18.99), or S3. Chao Bo Steak / Bo Xao ($16.75).

She recommended that I try - Hu Tieu Nam Vang or the Hu Tieu My Tho - I got the dark chicken rice noodle. I did a to go order. If you online there is no translation for the menu so I went there for translation. The menus in the store have English description and the guy at the register was helpful in answering my questions. I ended up trying dark chicken noodle soup because I wasn't brave enough yet for intestines etc. I shared my order with my 9 year old and were very pleased. The broth was well seasoned. It had lots of flavor and it wasn't salty. I asked for some sauces and they gave it to me with my order. It was so good and filling. I will definitely be back to try more soups and other dishes. This place is located in the plaza of the Hong Kong supermarket. Parking was pretty simple but it was full. Inside was quiet and there were very nice Christmas decorations. It's a very casual place.
