Food is good but there's no way to reach the store. We received less wings in our orders and there's no way to do anything about it. Their e-mail is a no reply and no one answers their phones. Let me start off by saying ATL understands what extra crispy means for wings. I have been on the hunt for the perfect wings while trying to support a local business, well guess what? I found the spot. If you haven't tried them, you should. The wings: We tried a traditional 10 piece, split with spicy ATL and medium sauce (5&5). The medium had bite! Soooo good. The spicy ATL was a rub and was so flavorful. We ordered extra crispy and the crunch, ugh so amazing. Did I mention they know how to do crispy wings right? Oh and they were plump wings, not skinny wings. We also tried boneless medium, and they were delicious too! While I was waiting in line to order I heard the lady sharing ATL is a black owned business and that made me even happier that I was supporting local and black owned. I been judging wings for years and have tried many. For the last 7 years I have rated wings I had in the small village of Cashel, Ireland as number one. I have been there 4-5 times and drive out of my way to have lunch there when visiting in the summer. I then tried ATL wings a few months ago. I bought the medium and they were okay. Chicken wangs and Kool-aid on tap. Yeah girl! After shopping at Chandler Fashion Center, we decided to grab some wings for take out and ATL Wings was the place to go! Walking into the modest and slightly warm joint, we were greeted by the nicest cashier ever. We got to sample some different sauces and we ended up getting the Honey Habanero, Honey Mustard, Garlic Parmesan, and Garlic Pepper wings. It smelled sooo good and I almost found myself wanting to dine-in! The car ride home was torture. The car was fragrance by the smell of some fried chicken wings and as soon as I could drop my purse onto the ottoman and kick off my shoes, I was tearing through that bag like a mad woman. There are a plethora of flavors to choose from, from dry rub to sauce coated. We decided on a dozen each of the ATL style, honey bbq, and lemon pepper. The ATL style was my favorite out of the three. It was a delightful mix of savory seasonings and went well with the crisp outer coating of the wings. The honey bbq was evenly coated, and had a good balance of tangy flavor and sweetness. The lemon pepper was a little too overpowering for me, as all I could taste was acidic lemon in each bite. The wings themselves had very tender meat. The order, once placed, didn't take very long to make. We also had some honey cinnamon biscuits. I was expecting more of a flaky buttermilk biscuit so I was surprised when they came out. They were more of a drop biscuit, tasting reminiscent of the Chinese style donuts you find at Asian buffets. I loved the light texture of the dough contrasting with the thick syrupy honey. The fountain drinks are Coke-based, and there are 3 different Kool Aid flavors to choose from as well. Oh yeaaahh (In my best Kool-Aid man voice)! There was a steady stream of customers coming in, dining in, and taking out orders. We came here around 6 P.M. on a Saturday and while it was busy, we had no problem finding a table. To echo what a number of Yelpers have already said, the wings here are, in a word, LEGIT. Envision me as MC Hammer pantomiming the 2 Legit 2 Quit hand jive, except I'll add the final move of sucking wing sauce off my sticky mitt. After dining at ATL Wings, you'll want to do the same. The best thing about the wings here are that they are crispy and they are sauced right. I won't advise on what's the best flavor, because everyone has their preferences, but you can't go wrong by sampling a bunch of their 14 different wing flavors. You may even find a new favorite. I'm leaning towards the Citrus Chipotle and the Sweet 'n' Tangy, but then I haven't tried them all. A note about the Sweet 'n' Tangy wings. Not really sweet nor tangy... but delicious nonetheless. I would say that these are more salty and sweet, with a soy-sauce-forward note. I found myself strangely addicted to these and unable to quit stuffing them down my grateful gullet. I pray I will return to ATL Wings many times and try all their different styles of wings. But that's why we pray... we got to pray just to make it today. OH MY GAWD- is what comes out of my wings stuffed mouth EVERY TIME I eat the honey habanero wings. Even though I have only been twice(doesn't seem like enough right?!), Each time I eat these messy little wings of delight(And YES i lick my finger after each wing is devoured), the experience of the flavor and meat to bone ratio is beyond satisfying. Last time I tried the mild wings (since My boyfriend cant handle hot wings) they had some good spice but myself personally could go way hotter than that. So I still have yet to try more flavors because I am always so tempted to just get the honey habanero but want to try more flavors at the same time. The second trip convincing my boyfriend to come with made my wait time for this delicious masterpiece less boring also because we talked to the owner the whole time which I always always ALWAYS love because I believe that owners that have great relationships with their customers make a successful business(+1); like I have said time and time again! When owners lose that bond with customers you lose out on more customer flow In my opinion. I'm not sure why I never wrote a review about this place. Before we got our air fryer (which is life changing) this was the only place we ate wings. They are 10 times better than any other wing place. The ATL style and Spicy ATL are soooooo delish! My boyfriend used to love that they have Kool-aid but unfortunately he quit eating sugar for the most part so he no longer partakes. The Kool-aid goes so nicely with those salty wings tho! Only reason for taking off 1 star is the greasy factor...it did a number on our stomachs EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. But honestly it was worth it for the flavor! Good Wing Spot For Take Out This was my first time in to this location of ATL wings. We got 40 or so wings and split them between three of us so we were all stuffed when we left. There are lots of flavor choices and decent prices for larger wing orders. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't sit down and eat inside and instead had to sit out in the hot sun on the picnic tables since they are not allowing dining service at this time. Loved this place for their wings before today. Stopped in today and the girl at the cashier "Kimberly" helped me out with placing my order. 12pc traditional and a 10pc boneless with a side of fries. As I waited for about 15 mins for my order for my name to be called, which is fine. I'm greeted again by "Kimberly" with my food. As I am walking out to the right of me next to a trash can I see a HUGE roach on its back, ALIVE. I go back to the front which is just steps away to tell her. She then grabs a broom and goes right into the dining room. At this point I am disgusted. I get in my car and drive away and work up the courage to call ATL wings. The front cashier girl who took care of me answers and I explain that I am very grossed out, and that I probably would not be eating my food, she agreed and said, she needed one of the guys to pick up the roach from the dining room. She asked if I'd like a refund and I agreed that, that would be great. She places me on hold, a gentleman gets on the line, not sure of his name because he mumbled it. But he stated I had to bring the food back in order for a refund. Mind you, I'm almost home by this point. Also, there was no way I was going to eat the food because of how grossed out I was. I understand that it's none of their faults but common. He said I could call tomorrow when they open and speak to the manager when they open at 11am. More to come. Message: First off, this order was placed on SuperBowl Sunday, so I expected a long wait. Here is the series of unfortunate events that prompted me to write you... -On 2/11/24 at 3:26pm I placed an online order for 60 wings ($89.66) -I was 'promised' a ready time of 4:15pm (49 min). -I sent my son to pick up order at 4:00...5.6 miles one way, 12 min drive. -Once he got there, he texted me to say the line to pick up was out the door. He waited, causing him to miss kick off. -I received a text at 4:45 that our order was ready. I never received anything that said order was delayed. -He got home right at 5:00, very frustrated at how disorganized and late they were with the order. -My husband said "this is all you got for 8 people?" There were 3 boxes with 8 wings each!...but all the sauces were there! I checked the receipt and all 60 wings were there. -It was now 5:08. I called the restaurant immediately and was sent to voicemail saying they are now closed. I drove there, hoping to find them still open...they were. -I showed the manager my receipt and informed her that they didn't give me 36 wings! She very casually says "oh yeah, they're right here" -NO APOLOGY! Just says "here ya go, have a nice night" I spent almost $90! Between my son and I, drove 23 miles! Missed Super Bowl kickoff! AND...my phone number was right on the receipt, taped to bag and NO ONE thought to CALL ME?!? -Is it just this location or do they all operate so poorly? Your wings are delicious but after all this, they weren't so enjoyable. UPDATE: the message above is the exact message I sent to ATL Corporate. They responded the next day and explained they are a franchise and would have the owner of this location contact me...he did later that afternoon. We checked out this place due to a recommendation on their Wings. Unfortunately. Their service left much to be desired. I called in an order for 2 different flavors, 10 Wings each. They took my name number and said the order would be ready "soon"...no time estimate. When we got there I paid for the order then waited inside for it to finish. There was 1 other person waiting in the room. After a few minutes I heard my name (or at least thought I did!), and went to pick up the order. They handed it to me and off I went to home. ...Only to get home and see it was the wrong order. So I immediately called and was then placed on hold for nearly 3 minutes. I hung up and called back. I indicated I had the wrong order and they had realized the situation as well saying I had "Logan's" Order. (18 pieces, 3 flavors). They said mine was there and I could come get it and they had to remake Logan's order for him. Ok, fine. Bummer for them and Logan, but why didn't they clarify who was supposed to pick up which order? This usually happens at restaurants when doing take out right? So get in the car and drive over. Then the cashier asks where Logan's order was as she wasn't going to give me my wings (which are now likely getting cool anyway) without his old order. Uhhh, what? You should have asked for me to bring it and what restaurant wants old/incorrect food brought back to them??? So they can....throw it away? She said if I brought back the mistaken order I would get mine. Initially I agreed but upon getting back in the car I thought, "that's ridiculous". I'll just eat the incorrect order and not deal with this place again. What a restaurant of any service industry can learn from this: 1) give client a time estimate of when order will be ready. 2) clarify whose order it is when client is at counter to take it home. 3) the restaurant should take responsibility for these situations not make it seem to the client like it was their fault. 3.1) one of the ways a restaurant can do that is letting the client keep the incorrect order. It's a cost of doing business and cost of making mistakes. You're already making the customer get on the phone again and get back in the car. I will probably try atl wings again, but definitely not this location, which is a shame since it's so close to where we live. P.s. we ended up eating the incorrect order wings and they were fine. I arrived at 6 pm and after waiting for 5 minutes they asked for my name. They didn't even make my order yet. People who were ordering in the restaurant were getting their food before me. The quality of food is amazing! Great wings but the customer service at this location was beyond ridiculous. The front of the house was a mess. I worked in the restaurant industry as a GM so believe me that I get it. But the owner/GM needs to either find new staff for their front of the house or let them go. Their cashier was rude as f***, she grunted through the whole ordering process and had this annoyed look to her. Her whole demeanor was just awful, like she couldn't wait to get us out of there. She informed us because it was 30 minutes before they closed my order was going to be to go which was okay. But their whole FOH was a mess their drink station was dirty, and their counters were dirty. The seasoned wings were okay and the honey haberno has a slight kick but not very spicy. The online menu differs from the prices on the board. Prices are reasonable overall. When I had my wings, they were cold. I got lost coming to the place (I had a phone order placed). A good place to go to if you want some wings - reasonably priced and the flavors aren't too bland and the wings aren't extremely small or anything. They have meat. It comes with some celery on the side so you don't feel as guilty if you're eating wings (unless you're on Atkins diet then eat all the wings you want and throw out the veggies!). read more
