Stopped by Fryd Bird for a quick dinner. We sat outside in the patio, but the inside, but there is seating inside as well. They've made it kind of cute inside. This is a counter service restaurant, and they were kind of slow, and there weren't too many other people. We had chicken sandwiches with waffle fries. The chicken has a slightly unique flavor. Buy far the freshest and best fried chicken I've had in years. The fried chicken is cooked to order so you need to be patient. The 3 piece meal comes with fries and a drink and is a real value. Chicken was crispy, but not just all batter. Just perfect. The 5pc was also good, and too much for the friend to eat in one sitting. Ordered 8pc chicken (two of every piece)...was very disappointed it was around lunch time and they must been too busy to change that grease. My food was very salty for me. It makes me sad to see some of the negative reviews here. I've been to this restaurant multiple times, and the food has always been very good and fresh, the service friendly, and the place clean. I'll admit, I kind of forgot about it for a while -- nothing in particular happened; I went out of town and just got out of the habit. Today, my wife suggested we go for lunch, and I'm so glad we did. This location used to be Green Corner before they outgrew it and moved across the parking lot. It still looks similar to me, although they've made a few changes. It's cute -- not luxurious -- but welcoming. We had two of the lunch specials: I had the FB Madness and my guest had the FB Sandwich. The food came out quickly enough. It appears that one person is handling the cooking, serving, and cleaning (not all at the same time, of course). The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and generously portioned -- more than we could eat. Their waffle fries are some of the best around. The most amazing part: for all that fresh food and a drink, the total was under $20. I honestly don't understand why there aren't more people here. I do agree that the food doesn't look exactly like the photos. Maybe it once did, or maybe they've adjusted it over time. But the fact is, it still looks good and tastes great. That's certainly no reason to leave a one-star review -- maybe your life is just that miserable. It's hard for me to understand giving someone one star when almost everything was excellent. I suppose some people have never tried their best to please others only to be unfairly judged. If the food photos really matter to you, I guess you could justify taking off one star -- but in my experience, photo menus rarely match reality perfectly anywhere. You can also just ask about a dish before ordering. The person working there made a point to check with every single customer, after giving them a chance to taste their food, to make sure everything was good. He really cares. I heard every customer in the restaurant tell him that their food was excellent. I even made a suggestion about serving the FB Madness over their amazing waffle fries -- he seemed genuinely interested and said he'd be happy to make it that way for me next time if I wanted. So let me start by saying the food that we ordered was very tasty but the lower score is for the time it took the food to be ready, for missing items that we ordered but paid for and for not answering the phone at 6:35pm while they close at 7. I ordered a take out order on the phone for my husband to pick up. The guy who answered the phone was very helpful and courteous. Since they don't have a website, I used whatever pictures that were online of the menu to order and I asked the guy on the phone to help me pick any additional items. I ordered the 8 chicken bucket which comes with 1 side, we chose waffle fries. I also ordered the rice with chicken and he suggested the 3 chicken tender sandwiches which are basically one order and I asked for the sauces to be on the side. I also ordered an additional coleslaw and the picture I saw of the menu said the bucket comes with bread on the side. The wait time was supposed to be 20 minutes. My husband got there 5 minutes after I ordered, so he went shopping at a store nearby in the meantime after he paid for the food. Even after spending 15 minutes at the nearby store, food was still not ready. He had to wait an additional 10 minutes or so. When he picked up the order, my husband did not check to make sure everything is in the bag. We probably will next time. When he got home, the food was relatively still warm. The sandwiches had the sauces on the side but they were not covered with lids so while driving here, they spilled onto two of the sandwiches and outside the container because that opened too, so the food was also a little cold. Also, there was no waffle fries or bread. The chicken tenders on the rice were a little dry, didn't seem fresh but they still tasted ok. The fried chicken pieces were really good, had a nice flavor. The sandwiches were also nice with some of the sauces they provided. I tried mine with the FB sauce which was good. After we finished eating, I decided to call the restaurant to let them know that the food was good but they missed a couple of items. I tried to call twice at 6:35pm but there was no answer. I am not sure if they don't pick up the phones past 6:30pm because they close at 7 but I would have liked to speak to someone regarding the missed items. Overall the food is good. Decided to see what the hype is all about! It doesn't appear they have a website, just a Facebook (with no menu photos), so I viewed the menu via the photos on here and placed my order telephonically. The menu may not be accurate as I attempted to order "The Flaming" and was informed they did not have it. Similar to "The Flaming" however, is "The Dynamite" as it was coated in hot Cheetos which is not per the description. Bf had "FB" which is a Buffalo chicken sandwich. We shared 1 large waffle fry. The order was ready within 10-15 minutes of placing it. Oddly enough when we picked it up none of the tops were on/sealed and the worker packing our sandwiches made no attempt to close them lol. The sandwiches are served on thick slices of buttery French toast- a nice touch. Rather than a patty the chicken in the sandwiches are 2 large tenders. The tenders were moist and juicy! The sauces appear to be made in house and come at no extra cost. The FB was supposed to be Buffalo chicken however it tasted more like honey mustard. We're assuming they mixed the sauces up lol. Came in for dinner around 7:25pm on a Friday night. Decided to come here because the nearby restaurant we wanted to go to was super busy and we didn't want to wait. When we arrived there were two tables that were already eating and no one else. There was no one at the counter to greet us and it took a while before someone realized we were there and wanted to order. I ordered the three piece chicken combo and my buddy got the 3 piece chicken tender combo. The food took about 20 mins for my order and 25 mins for my friends order, though we ordered right after one another. There was a customer that came right after my friend and their order took 35 mins to come out. I assume the food is made fresh for taking so long. The fountain drinks were partially watered down. The coke was running empty as well as the iced teas. A couple of the other drinks did taste correct though. The food was above average. We both enjoyed the waffle fries. My chicken was decent but nothing to brag about. It wasn't overly moist but was not dry either. The flavor was unique and I enjoyed it. My friend said the tenders were average. The breading was not super thick and it consisted of mostly chicken which is a plus. Overall the experience and food was fine, but would not go out of my way to eat here. This place is located where Green Corner Restaurant started. Brand new place decided to give it a try. I got the 3 piece spicy chicken combo which comes with a drink and fries. The spicy is not spicy it just has a hint to it, each piece of chicken is big, juicy, tender and tasty. Mashed potatoes and gravy was delicious, I actually am not a big fan of mashed potatoes and gravy but these are the bomb. The chicken was cooked perfectly and still juicy. The chicken strips with spicy batter. They were light and delicate. A lighter batter then the bone in chicken. I liked the bone in more. Mashed potatoes were delicious. I learned they are made using the owner's sister's gravy recipe. Quite tasty. Mac & Cheetos were surprisingly really good. Never was a Flaming Hot Cheetos fan. I learned that it is currently the rave in Jordan. I don't know why my rice never comes out light and fluffy. It had nice flavor. And then there are the FB Madness Fries. I chose waffle fries instead of traditional cut. It had cut up chicken strips and ALL the sauces poured on top plus jalapeños. I really enjoyed them. I foresee myself ordering that on my next visit.
