Tikka Shack won't blow you away with selection and won't likely be the best Indian food you've had...but it fills its fast-causal Indian cuisine niche really well. I've been to several Tikka Shack locations before, but this is my first visit to the Chandler location. I really like the interior of this location...it's well-lit, clean and the tables are spaced so you don't have to be a ballerina to get up and refill your drink. The wall decorations are simple but classy. The employees were very friendly and helped us navigate the spice levels...my son's notorious for saying items are not spicy enough or they are too spicy. We ordered several different chicken curry bowls and got naan on the side. The chicken was good and tender and my curry was tasty. They give a fair amount of rice but I could always use more. I'm on their mailing list now and saw a Tikka Tuesday special. It's now a lunch battle between tacos and curry! read more

I've seen this place around for a while but never got around to trying it until now. After eating here, I'm convinced the valley needs more locations. I'll admit, I was a little unsure at first. Indian food in a casual setting sounded different. But they pulled it off. They kept all the flavors people love and made the menu easy to order from. The masala fries were fantastic. The shrimp coconut curry tacos were a ten out of ten for me. The southern curry had just the right amount of heat with plenty of spice in every bite. What I liked most is how flexible the menu feels. If you're trying to eat more protein and you're tired of the same fast casual spots on repeat, this is a great option. The salad with the mango dressing is refreshing and different, and adding a chicken kabob makes it a really satisfying meal. I used to stop by the Tikka Shack at Desert Ridge Marketplace in North Phoenix anytime I was in the area. Especially during Tikka Tuesdays. I was pretty stoked to hear that a location was opening a lot closer to me in Chandler. Tikka Shack Indian Grub serves up fast-casual Indian cuisine in a laid back atmosphere. The menu consists of variety of traditional Indian dishes and appetizers. Ordering your food is done at the computer screen. You can craft your entree by picking your Indian dish and then choosing a protein like chicken, lamb or shrimp. Popular dishes are the Tikka Masala, Original Curry, Butter Masala and the Tikka Wrap. I highly recommend their Biryani 65 dish. It is my current favorite. For sides, you can't go wrong with the Naan bread with cheese and garlic, Samosa or wings. Ordered food via the Yelp app, the order was completed quickly and the food was hot and fresh. Thats important to mention considering it was about 11pm. My only suggestion was more dressing on the mango salad, or put a little container of it on the side. I appreciated the touch of pre packaged and earth friendly silverware/s&p/napkin. Life without curry is just naan-sense. Instagram ads work, y'all. We popped in for lunch on their opening day and what a delight! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the space is clean and bright. Warm vibes and warm spices. I excitedly placed my order for some goan vindaloo (Spicy and tangy curry simmered with potatoes, colorful bell peppers, onions, roasted cumin, and chilis) at house heat level with lamb as my protein. I wasn't in a rice mood and opted to get my meal with naan bread. What a meal! The house heat was absolutely perfect and the meat and vegetables were cooked lovingly in that delicious curry. Thinking about it now has my mouth watering. At a later visit, I had the Chicken 65 biryani and some Tikka Masala Fries. Both equally amazing and flavorful. At spice level "Hot," one step above "House" level, it definitely leaves the gut burning. I think I'll stick to house spice. I got a coupon in my box saying today is Tikka Tuesday and since I didn't have dinner prepared tonight, I gave this place a try. I used to come to this strip mall for indoor cycling but that closed, so it's nice to see this establishment here. Ive been to another Tikka Shack a long time ago and food was pretty decent for fast casual Indian food. If you want to redeem the Tikka Tuesday special, you have to order with the cashier and not use the kiosk. Woman that took my order was nice. I had a choice of protein for the tikka masala and I chose veggies. It comes with basmati rice, piece of naan and a drink. For the drink, they have different kinds of iced teas, a hibiscus drink, mango turmeric, mango and some other flavors. I ordered my meal to go. I waited about 5 minutes and then all my food was ready. I got a mango turmeric drink, it tasted like an artifical orange drink like when I was a kid. It wasn't bad but I rather blow my calories on something else (130 cal/ serving). I would have preferred an option of a carbonated drink. Tikka masala sauce was good, but the veggies were pretty skimpy, barely any cauliflower, some peas and carrots. I would have liked more veggies please, maybe some eggplant, bell peppers, and even potato would have been good. Basmati rice was fine. Naan was average. Overall, for $11, I am not going to complain too much as you can't even these days get a dozen eggs for that price (I saw a dozen eggs a few weeks back at Mekong market for $12.99). I'd come back on another Tikka Tuesday night and will try the chicken or shrimp options. Oh and I also saw some Indian desserts available in their fridge case and will try the rasmalai next time, they are my fave Indian dessert! When I saw in an Instagram post that they'll be opening today, I knew where I wanted lunch. I got the spicy chicken kabob bowl with mango salad, rice, and Tikka sauce. I also got a Tractor organic drink on the side. My meal was delicious. Tender chicken, robust flavors, and a heat level that had my Indonesian-Chinese blood singing. I also got to try Joyce W's lamb goan vindaloo (potatoes, bell peoppers, onions, cumin, and chilis) at house heat level. No notes. It was pleasant and had great flavor. The heat was perfect. Came here to get the Tikka Tuesday deal and the worker clearly did not know the menu. When my husband asked him for the drinks that came with the deal he said no and argued with my husband that there was no drink that was part of the deal. When he pointed out the menu he begrudgingly gave him one drink and when he said that we had ordered 2 meals he rolled his eyes and tossed the other drink cup across the counter. Later as we were leaving after picking up the food he claimed that because we got the naan we were not allowed the drink and acted like he had done us a favor. It was a generous portion of salad greens and at least 3/4 cup of chopped mangoes. The dressing was sweet and citrusy. They were too generous with the dressing. I had the shrimp curry taco and it was a great choice. The shrimps were plump and juicy. The cabbage slaw was crunchy and perfectly dressed and loved the soft foldable naan it came in. All gone in minutes. Together a meal under $10 . This visit was even better after I saw how many loyalty points I had because it took off half my balance. I had someone else on my tab so it was a great surprise. I love their loyalty program because there were many choices to redeem points for such as beverages , naan or dollars off, just like a credit card program. This review is long overdue. I've been eating here almost every weekend recently because I can't get enough of their flavorful Tikka Wrap. The mozzarella is always melted perfectly, creating incredible cheese pulls! I also think it's genius for them to serve a side of Tikka Sauce to dip the wrap into; such a minor but essential addition to this dish. I remember the first time I walked into this restaurant, one of the staff members greeted us and kindly walked us through making sense of the menu--better customer service than what you'd typically expect from such a casual restaurant. Despite being so casual, this restaurant has an upscale vibe to its interior. Although I prefer take out, I'd dine in with friends any day. Speaking of takeout, when using the app to order, there seems to be an option for the staff to notify the user when the order is ready to be picked up. However, when I first started ordering online at this location, I would often find myself walking in and grabbing my order even though it isn't marked as ready in the app. I'm used to approximating how long it will take for my order to be ready now, but for first-time users it's pretty inconvenient as it's typical to expect a notification when your order is ready. read more

Been following Tikka Shack on social media for awhile but it was too far. Was happy when I saw they were coming to Chandler, saw a it of positive reviews and thought it would be worth a try. Ordering process is kiosks as eluded to in a few reviews which is more normal now but lacks human touch. Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, felt like a safe bet for comparisons sake, with a side of rice and a garlic naan. Family ordered the chicken tikka pizza and some wings. Of all of the items ordered the only thing with taste or seasoning was the wings. The chicken tikka masala was bland, the Costco Sukhi prepackaged meal had more seasoning and taste. The naan felt like it was from a package and pretty lackluster though a lot of garlic which was nice. The pizza was also fairly bland. I didn't expect a mom and pop style meal from a semi fast casual Indian restaurant but even with the tempered expectations I was fairly disappointed in the $39 meal. Terrific food at a reasonable price. Really like how easy it is to order on a kiosk on top of it being reasonably quiet. Naan pizza is also really creative! My only criticism is that the tikka sauce in my naan pizza could've had a little more spice and tomato, it had a little too much cream in it. read more
