The Golden original (left side of the picture): it was really crispy on the outside, and the meat is steaming hot on the inside. I like the battered texture of the outside, however because the batter is quite thick so I got tired of the dish after 2 pieces. The pieces were really big. Secret sauce flavor: the sauce was nice, it tastes similar to a soy garlic flavor. I like this one better than the golden original. Overall the food was delicious and the staff were nice. The restaurant has plenty of seating. FYI: the pickle radish side dish is not free. It's $2 extra, which I'm not sure if it just this location that charges it or entire Bbq chain. I will start by saying the food is very unique and flavorful. Use tremendous caution when ordering anything with Hot Mala sauce because WHOA! HOT is a huge understatement. The wings are good tho and the cheese sticks have kind of an unusual texture that is really good. Our son ordered the Ddeok-Bokki in that Mala flavor and said it was really good. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and I finally did. I got the honey garlic wings, boneless though. I was pretty indecisive because I wanted something spicy and they had so many good options but the honey garlic was just calling my name. It is also their popular flavor so I caved in and got it. The chicken was so crispy and amazing. They had the perfect amount of sauce to them and the flavor was delicious. My boyfriend got the hot mala bone in wings, those were very hot. The flavor was very good as well and the spice kicks in at the end. If you aren't into spicy foods I wouldn't recommend. It is a little sweet as well, it kind of reminded me of hot orange chicken. Both of them were very crispy though which I absolutely loved. We also ordered fries and honestly I was disappointed. They are very bland and aren't really good. They just taste like oil in a way. The place was small but there's enough seating for a good amount of people. The wait for the food wasn't too long, it was like 10-15 minutes. One of the workers was very sweet and even brought out our food to our table. The food was very hot which meant it was freshly made and it absolutely did taste fresh. I called Chandler before going there to make and was told no spice at all. Long story short, we ordered for pick up, got home excited to eat it, and it was spicy. Called the location, they made us return what was left of our 16 piece order which was more than half so that they could investigate. Drove back ( inconvenient on our part ) there to return and was told we would get a voucher for 16 piece chicken whenever we want. We never asked for any refund or voucher, I just wanted to give them my feedback but was surprised that they asked us to return the pieces we have not consumed. At the same time, there was a piece of boneless chicken that I found undercooked, I was also asked to return that piece for them to investigate and email them a picture to which I did. The next day, my husband went back to claim our 16 piece voucher only to be turned away. I emailed the whole incident and the manager responded ( no apologies whatsoever) they will investigate further. To this day, I have not heard back from this manager. The original golden half chicken had a slight hint of heat in the breading and was quite nice. My order was definitely made fresh as it was very hot and everything was wonderfully crispy. Initially, I thought it was a bit pricey for takeout but considering that there was enough for four servings altogether it made it a little less pricey. Since we rarely eat fried chicken it was an excuse to give it a try. The young lady that was helping me answered my questions and described things pretty clearly. There were lots of patrons throughout the dining area. I didn't pay any attention to see if there were outdoor seats but there might have been a few. There were several people waiting on orders for dine in as well as takeout with a steady flow of people trickling in. I'd come back to try other flavors the next time I'm nearby. Who would've thought Chandler, AZ would have a good number of Asian chain food places. I was here for work and have always wanted to try the KFC at bb.q Chicken, so of course we tried it! And I think these wings are a good size, so you can have a good proportion of fried exterior to meat and sauce. Not hot or cold inside the restaurant. I have been to some places where it's been hot. All tables and chairs, no booths or counter seating. No patio. Had some tvs on with no sound. I liked that it was fairly quiet inside. They had a board where people could post ads on it. Service - There were maybe two employees. The service here was slow after the order was taken. Seemed like they are hiring from the ads posted outside. Perhaps this is part of why they were so slow. A lot of people seemed to have ordered ahead and went shopping or went for take out instead of dine in. It's more of a take out shop anyway. Next time I'll order ahead and do take out. Parking - Surface lot parking only. No parking structures or parking meters. Future - Will be coming back for more. My husband and I stopped in for lunch and kept things pretty simple. We ordered the Spicy Original bone in wings and fries. The restaurant itself was bright, clean, and very welcoming. The service was wonderful. The staff brought our food to the table and checked on us during the meal. One order would honestly have been enough for both of us because the portions are generous. We each ordered fries and ended up taking both boxes home, so just know they are definitely shareable. The wings came out piping hot with a really nice crunch. The texture was great and the chicken itself was juicy and not dry at all. The only thing that was a little underwhelming for me was the flavor. We ordered the Spicy Original wings but they did not have much noticeable spice and they did not come with any sauces. I am definitely a condiment person, so having some kind of dipping sauce available would take these wings to the next level. Even just one or two options on the side would make a big difference. That might be on me for not asking more questions about sauces when ordering. Overall the value was great, the environment was great, the chicken was great, and the fries were great. I first discovered this chain while on vacation in California, and I was so excited to find it here in Arizona. It is still about an hour away from home, but at least it is not a flight away. We absolutely love this place and often find ourselves dreaming about making trips across Phoenix just to eat here. Every flavor is delicious, but the honey garlic is my favorite. Bb.q Korean Fried Chicken in Chandler and Mesa are the best fried chicken places in AZ! All the flavors are delicious and unique. The other food is also great there....except maybe the rice could be more sticky instead of dry. I've had everything on the menu. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the chicken flavors. One thing I'll say for those first timers is that if you want sauce, then get one of the flavors that have sauce because there isn't any dipping sauce for the spicy original or original. Those are meant not to have any sauce on them. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Again, if you're new to the place, you really cannot go wrong with any of the flavors. The place is kept clean, including the bathroom. The staff is nice and I like that they check on you and help when needed. A lot of other restaurants usually don't care after you've paid, so I think it's great that Bb.q Chicken cares. The only negative I have is that when you dine in, the restaurant is kind of warm/hot depending on the time of day you go, which makes dining in uncomfortable. I've heard so many great things about this place from friends and recently had the chance to try them out! We ordered kimchi fried rice, original wings, black pepper boneless, honey garlic wings, and galbi wings. Our absolute favorite was the honey garlic. It had a nice balance between sweet and savory with a subtle hint of spice, and the chicken stayed nice and crispy even after a forty-five-minute drive! Galbi was also good, but just a bit too saucy for our preferences. The original was probably our least favorite, it felt like it just had a weird aftertaste that we were not a fan of. The staff were very friendly and helpful in answering all the questions we had. We were somewhat perplexed in choosing what flavor to get someone in our family who prefers not too sweet or spicy. Even though they looked busy, the wait was surprisingly not that long, about twenty minutes, not bad at all. My family wanted to try this place tonight so we drove out to check it out. Very brightly lit on the inside with a menu that's easy to read. My son has a serious peanut and tree nut allergy and saw the sign that shows a red dot next to every chicken flavor as 'contains peanuts or potential cross contaminated'. It did not specify which was which. When reading the laminated menu card none of the chicken flavors had any nut or peanut ingredients so I was curious which dish had nuts in it. The first employee working the cash register did not know but the other worker said that peanut was in the batter of the chicken...so every flavor had nuts. Unfortunately this meant we could not eat here and had to find another place to eat tonight. It would be helpful if the allergen sign was more clear that peanuts are used in their breading batter and that's why each flavor had a red dot next to it, not just it may be potentially cross-contaminated. The 4-star rating is a guess since we couldn't have the food. Wanted to make the allergy community aware this place appears to be unsafe for those with nut allergies and we didn't want to take a chance. read more

The half&half is half a chicken "golden", and the other half with whatever sauce you want (we chose the "secret" sauce). The golden chicken was very nicely seasoned. Very distinct from other chicken joints, but not overpowering. The secret sauce chicken was sort of like a sweet and sour, but without the sour. More of a tangy hit to it. Both were very good. I was skeptical about the cheeseling fries, but my wife wanted it. To my surprise, the cheese flavor was not overwhelming. It was there, but it had other seasoning making it a really good fry.
