After much consideration last weekend I've decided to apply to be the next VP of Marketing for ABC. I decided this shortly after we left this particular location for a quick dinner before our movie started at the theater a few doors down. First change as the new VP - our main competition are mediocre sandwich houses such as Panera Bread and Corner Bakery but somehow we are MUCH MUCH worse, so let's change our cutesy acronym to now stand for A Bad Choice. It's probably The Worst Choice but changing our signage at this point is just way too expensive. Second change as the new VP - our menu. Our paninis have so little meat and cheese on them that they desperately need rebranded. Let's call them "Toast" from now on. Simple right? They're really just toasted bread with a thin layer of guck on them so let's call them what they are. Our soup is served stone cold too so that name feels inappropriate. Let's just call them all gazpacho. Tomato gazpacho, potato gazpacho, French onion gazpacho... you get the idea. And finally, our smoothies. This is a toughie. "Dish soap on ice" doesn't really have a nice ring to it, but what else could we call them so people know what they'll taste like? I'll keep noodling on that one. My resume is sent, my business cards are at the printers, and I think these changes are just the start of the great things we'll do at the new ABC. I truly believe the gig is mine to lose! read more

Second the drink machine with a touch screen that was sticky and disgusting in a restaurant bad cleaning is not ok. When I saw that the location one exit north of this one averaged 2.5 stars, I should have known that something wasn't right about these 5 star reviews. This new restaurant is very nice and how cool that there's a bar. The staff is very friendly too. I found that the menu was almost impossible for me to read with the way that the line is formed. I had to walk around out of line to see it. I chose the Cobb salad. It seemed kind of pricey to me at over $9 but I figured it would be a huge salad like the less expensive Newks offers. When they brought that small salad to the table, I really felt cheated. It was good but way too small. The little piece of bread that came with it was way too hard and far from fresh. I think all four of us left fairly disappointed. About an hour later, I told my wife that I was already hungry. She commented that my salad had no protein. It then dawned on me, even though it had the tiny amount of bacon that was advertised, they forgot my hard boiled egg! Dammit!! Now that really sucks and made me want to drop this to two stars. But, the owner took our order and I really didn't want to destroy a locally owned business so I'm still giving a 3. This reminds me why I hardly ever eat at chains. Nice restaurant though. read more

It disturbs me because they are visible to all the customers in the line, an in addition we have no idea where these people have been. I ordered some potato soup and half a sandwich. They only filled my soup container halfway and the soup was flavorless and had no substance to it. The sandwich was dry with no condiments and the bread was hard. Better off going to Panera where they microwave everything, at least you get your moneys worth and it's edible. It makes me sad to give a restaurant only one star. I hope this review leads to changes in the food, because the restaurant itself feels so good when you enter. It's open, it's unique, and it just feels fun. BUT, the food. I ordered a breakfast plate with eggs, sausage and potatoes. My wife ordered a salad. My potatoes were ice cold. When I told the manager, he said "they were frozen, i'll bring you some different ones". Hearing that didn't help, and the new ones, while now warm, were not good. The sausage was blah, and the eggs were watery. My wife, on the other hand, tried but just couldn't eat her salad. The lettuce was wilty and, in her words, it just looked and tasted "old". It was truly the worst food experience we've probably ever had. Again, though, I don't do this to be mean. I truly hope this prods management to fix the food problems so they can thrive. read more

The food came very quickly, I had a panini Cuban and it was delicious with the Italian pasta salad which was also delicious.

Had a craving for soup on a cold dreary day so thought I would give this place a try. Almost empty so I was surprised to find seats and tables were dirty. Paid almost $8 for soup that was tasty but not before being asked for a tip upon payment. I'm not one to participate in tipping cashiers especially like I do servers who wait on customers. I do tend to tip a dollar or two for a friendly cashier but that was not the case here. read more

I am a little disappointed having to write this review. I work in a building where we have a food delivery service who delivers lunch from select restaurants daily. Today, I ordered from Atlanta Bread the half soup and sandwich. How can you possibly mess that up, right? Well, my broccoli and cheddar soup was watery and cold, and my sandwich was very poorly made. The ABC sandwich, which is one of the specialty sandwiches that has roast beef, turkey and ham were lacking. There was hardly any meat on this sandwich along with being between two hard pieces of bread. There was a strip of each cold cut on this sandwich and I mean literally a strip. I understand it's a half a sandwich but really? This is what I paid $12 to receive? I couldn't remember why I stopped eating at Atlanta Bread but thanks for the reminder...it won't happen again. read more

Food was not anything special (Panara has similar offering but much better) and the service was terrible. Was there with a table of 4, they delivered our food to the table one plate at a time with 5-10 minutes between each serving. The first 2 at my table were finished before the next two received their food. Was even accused of trying to scam free breakfast sausage when I pointed out it was missing from my daughter's order. In their defense, it is a new location so maybe they should get the benefit of the doubt. Service wise, they may need another month or two to work out their issues. My suggestion, keep driving a few miles north to the Panara Bread one exit north. read more

I've loved this restaurant for a long time but have been extremely disappointed by the service at this location. One of the cashiers is moody and unhelpful, always giving attitude and excuses rather than trying to please the customer. We love ordering their cookies, but they're always out and we have to ask various employees multiple times before we can get someone to make more. If this was a one time thing I could look past it, but it's not. Also, today, the tomatoes on all 4 of our sandwiches were green and hard. Until this location puts more effort into serving their customers, rather than the customers hounding the employees for things to be done, I'll be giving my business to another location. read more

I am very impressed with this ABC. They went above and beyond to offer me a vegan sandwich that was extremely delicious and they were happy to do it. They helped me come up with various options and modifications (I had a modified California sandwich that was delicious), which means a lot to me because I often times feel like I am inconveniencing the staff when I tell them that I eat vegan, but that was 100% not the case here. Great place to come and study as well due to many outlets and comfortable tables/seating. Very clean and I am happy to see that they are "Covid-certified" safe. Recently the wife and I was looking for somewhere new to eat at the collection at Forsyth. We came across Atlanta bread but it wasn't like the other locations. This location was warm and inviting. There was an outdoor lounge area, a meeting room, and the best part they served wine and beer. We had the opportunity to meet Dean who is the owner of this new concept location. Dean was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. Kelly tends to ask a lot of questions. As I'm more of trail and error type person when it comes to food. The food was fresh and the deserts were amazing. Kelly (my wife) and I shared a flat bread, also new to the menu. Then she had the little brownie bit and I had the mocha chocolate chip muffin. Fyi, you must try that muffin, is AWESOME. Overall the experience was great and we will be back. If you are in the area, I would recommend going. read more

They even put fresh blueberries in my chicken Waldorf during their first week being opened and it was super unexpected and VERY delicious! I hate to say it, but this restaurant is not all that good. All the food is average, decently priced though. I noticed that the workers don't wear gloves; specifically when the cashier grabbed me a cinnamon bun from its case-- So gross. I've heard that the broccoli cheddar soup is kept in an old container and heated up for the customers. Again, not very professional. Overall, the atmosphere and food are both bland and I don't think I'll be eating here again. I used to settle for their food, but I'm really done with the quality and the workers. My husband and I and our two teenage boys came here for supper. A great addition to The Collection. Standard Atlanta Bread Company menu but still delicious. It was perfect for me but all three of my guys said that the portions were on the smaller side. Price was right and the ambience is terrific. (My kids and I disagree on the music. I thought it was great-laid back and relaxing. They thought it was old fashioned.) Casual but a great place to come to chill and have a light meal. I look forward to coming back and enjoying the patio area with girlfriends and a glass of wine. Once I do that, I'm sure I will give it five stars! read more
