As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the person at the front. I was asked if it was ok to sit at the bar. I said yes and I was seated right away. The servers were very attentive. My order was taken right away. I was 1st asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered an OJ,water and a coffee. When the server came and asked me for my food order. I ordered the Barrington Benedict. The food came out pretty fast and it was so delicious. The ambiance is very cool, laid back and chill. Since my boxing class is close to this place. I will definitely be back. If you have an Egg Harbor Cafe in your area, I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a great breakfast spot. My husband and I love this place (particularly the Alpharetta location). The price paid for the amount of food received is amazing. I personally am always filled up on their sides alone. The interior seating is quite homey and offers tables for all different family sizes. Egg Harbor offers rewards that rack up with each visit and can amount to $$$ off your total bill. The service has always been amazing here and another huge plus is that you are able to add yourself to any waitlist from their website. My usually order here is a side of Habanero Hash Browns topped with an egg - sometimes two. The Habanero Hash Skillet entree is my favorite. However, I always have leftovers. While that is essentially not a "bad thing," I am usually grabbing breakfast here before running errands. Having leftovers requires me to head home and get them in the refrigerator first. The side of Habanero Hash gives me just enough to finish in one sitting and adding the eggs gives me the protein I am looking for! read more

Instantly, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and seated right away! The interior was cozy and farmhouse-like, encapsulating the perfect breakfast place. I ordered the Lobster Scrambler, and our waitress was super sweet! Food came out super quickly and was steaming hot. The scramble was absolutely scrumptious with the chunks of lobster and seafood. Hitting this place on a Sunday was a chance, but we took it and found it very.. okay. The staff were slammed, we saw our waitress once but she was sweet and very kind. The menu is good but the food was pretty okay. The portions were also on the smaller side for the price. That said maybe it was our order. I tried the biscuits and gravy and my friend had the lobster omelet. The biscuit prortion was a single biscuit cut in half and the gravy, while tasty was kind of sparce. We have been coming to Egg Harbor Cafe off and on after church for about 2 years now and it has never disappointed! Has there been an issue here and there... sure but generally they have always had descent service and good food. I have tried just about everything on the menu but my favorites are anything that has their marinated chicken in it. Man this stuff is good! But do get here early as more times then not they sell out and when it's out for the day it is out! The location is close to our hose and on the way home from church so it makes a perfect spot to stop at. The food in general is eggceptional. They do have cocktail options... bloody Mary's and mimosas as well as other things. They do barista style coffees as well that are also quite nice. This has become a go to place for Sunday brunch for us... it does get busy on Sundays so get your name in on the list or you could be waiting for a while. We truly enjoy it! read more

First off, I am a loyal egg harbor customer and have loved this restaurant for years. I worked at the Medlock Bridge location in high school/college and a little after. My family has been coming since they opened. I bring everyone I know and love here to experience the wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. That to say I was extremely disappointed when we walked into this location to have lunch with my boyfriend who came from Colorado. Our server, Jasmine, was so inattentive I don't think she even made eye contact with any of us. The food tasted delicious as always, my vanilla latte came out with no vanilla and I had to get the attention of the woman in a black shirt (I didn't catch her name) who ended up helping us immensely during our visit. I am mostly disappointed because my time working here there was always such a high expectation as to how to treat the guests. read more

I went to Egg Harbor for brunch with my dad. I ordered the Strawberry Crunch French Toast and Iced Brown Sugar Latte. The presentation was so beautiful, with very pretty colors and fruits. I also enjoyed the iced latte being in a mason jar. The cream cheese was very light, not super sweet, also the fresh fruits were a great touch. The iced coffee was pretty good, but a little bitter and not sweet enough for me. But I liked the brown sugar flavor in the coffee. This place is for sure a staple if you ever just need somewhere to visit for quality eats . I I ordered the shrimp and grits with a side of roasted potatoes . My friends ordered the traditional breakfast , chicken sausage , and shredded grits with a fruit bowl ! The shrimp and grits were seasoned to perfection , the potatoes were scrumptious and the fruit was freshly sliced and sweet to taste ! Though I didn't try my friends dishes, they were more than satisfied with their breakfast Oh and my favorite was the brown butter with vanilla latte . I am sure the food is as good as the one @ Johns Creek.....we just did not have a chance to experience it. May be the server or kitchen staffs misplaced our order.....we sat and watched 3 tables came after we placed our order got their food. The cut off point was when they brought other table's food to our table.....we had to go somewhere else. Manager was very apologetic and offered to comp the ticket if we choose to stay. Nice gesture but we take our chance at near by restaurants. Hopefully our order won't be misplaced. A wonderful option in Alpharetta for lunch or brunch on a sleepy Sunday. They have a robust menu - lots of healthy options, as well as plenty of items from the griddle. They have a lovely coffee/juice bar as well. Our waitress was quick to our table and suggested we start with a strawberry orange juice. We declined and started with coffee. Someone else brought the coffee and someone else brought our plates. Nice to see the kitchen and front of the house staff working together so efficiently! I had the Apple wood smoke bacon Avocado toast, which came with 2 eggs your way and some fruit (berries, melon pineapple amd and an orange slice) Everything was tasty! My husband got the Eggtastic something or other and it came with a piece of banana bread. There are plenty of booths and tables to sit at, and the waiting area is nicely decorated, sort of farmhouse like. Honestly, I am so embarrassed I convinced my friends to come here with me today. I have previously had such an amazing experience at the Sandy Springs location I figured this would be the same. I could not have been more wrong. Let's start by the fact that when we walked in, my friend and I - both carrying babies - walked up to the host stand and waited to be attended. There was a young gentleman standing behind the take out/cashier desk and didn't even bother to look up or acknowledge us. It was also blatantly obvious work was the last place he wanted to be. He stood there nonetheless, popping mints from the pig jar ignoring us. He was not attending to other people. I assumed there would be a separate host coming up to greet us and give us a table considering how he was acting. Yet no one ever came. I eventually made eye contact with the gentleman and he just glanced and looked away changing the way he was leaning over the desk. I want to say, maybe almost 15 minutes went by when I finally looked over again and asked if he could please go find someone who could seat us at a table. He had previously walked to the back to ask about an order when someone walked in so I was hoping he would do the same for us. To which he responded "oh you want a table? I thought you were waiting for something else" with an at attitude, of course. I'm not sure what we would have been waiting for since he was standing at the takeout area. He got us a table, also with an attitude, and went back to the front. The server came right away and took our order. We asked for waters and they never came until we asked again 10 minutes later. She came to check on us once when the food had arrived which was fine, but she dropped off the checks while we were all still eating and never came back. We both needed boxes and we stayed an extra 15 minutes waiting for her to walk by so we could ask for them. The food was also so disappointing. So much so that one of the people I was with asked "you've been here before and you liked it?" I was mortified and I still am. My burrito was cold and so bland. I don't think there was a speck of salt in the entire thing. This was such an amazing dish at the sandy springs location I was floored when I took a bite. The potatoes were good, but that was about it. The grits were also super bland. Both of my friends also had nothing very positive to say about the food they ordered. I honestly can't believe how different the two locations are. I am so embarrassed I raved about this place after the experience we had today. I cannot recommend this location to anyone. read more

We were in town for a concert and didnt want the hotel buffet the next morning, so i found this place online and we decided to try it out. The decor was farmhouse style and super cute and clean. The waitstaff were all nice and friendly. We started with some coffee in the cutest little mugs that you can purchase to take home for $20. My husband and i both chose chicken and waffles and it was all very good. I stole a bite of my hubs habenero hash and it was super good too. The orange juice was good as well, but full of pulp so skip that if youre picky about that. All in all i enjoyed our visit, but it was extremely expensive. This is my second time coming to an Egg Harbor, different location than my first visit though. The food was pretty good and we received quality service. The place has plenty of parking and is easy to get into. I will say that the S'mores Mocha looked pretty good but didn't taste too great, seems like it had a few too many pumps of mocha syrup in it- tasted very concentrated and not very much like quality coffee. Overall we enjoyed our experience though and while I wouldn't order that drink I have no problem coming back. read more

I love Egg Harbor Cafe and highly recommend the Johns Creek location but the Alpharetta spot near Northpoint Mall SUCKS HARD!!! They're meal quality is very hit and miss, sometimes good but other times missing ingredients, served cold or just not prepared well. The coffee bar is sub par, they don't include enough espresso shots in their cappuccinos so it basically tastes like warm milk. What really sucks is this location ended their flavored coffee offering which I've always enjoyed experimenting with (normally don't like flavored coffee but theirs was good). The only bright side to this location is the service, everyone here is nice and helpful but not a great concession when your breakfast sucks. read more

Disappointing. Negatives: The food was bland, not well prepared and not quality ingredients. Positives: no wait on a Sunday at noon (but, now I know why...). This is the first restaurant in the area where I've had my temperature taken. Staff was friendly. I ordered the seasonal wild mushroom and gruyere omelette with high hopes. Those hopes were dashed when I cut into it. There was shockingly little filling, maybe 1/3 the omelet had filling and the mushrooms were flavorless. Gruyere is a strong cheese and I couldn't taste ANY cheese, and the eggs were over cooked. I had to ask for hot sauce to make it tolerable. The breakfast potatoes were also flavorless - not even a salt flavor. This is one of the worst omelettes I've had in awhile. My husband got the California tuna melt. The tuna salad was fine but the avocado was very hard, to the point it was almost inedible and he pulled it all off. The accompanying salad was the best part of the meal - the dressing was very good. Sadly, don't think we'll return with all of the great options in the area. read more

It is a tad on the expensive side, but in my opinion worth it. Also a deal-breaker for my wife is whether or not they leave a coffee carafe at the table...check! They do. The only negative worth mentioning is that the booths are incredibly tight. Tables leave you much more room so we always choose one of those as opposed to being a bit snug in the booths.
