It's unfortunate that I am here writing this review, especially since I was initially excited to work with Avi after seeing his positive reviews on his website. In July 2022, I hired Avi to renovate my recently purchased house. Initially, I wanted to have another contractor do the kitchen remodel, but Avi said that he would not take on the job unless the kitchen was also included. Given how difficult it is to schedule contractors, I decided to move forward with Avi for the full renovation of the home, including the kitchen. At the end of the day, the total cost of the renovation was around $200,000. The cost of the kitchen was around $35,000. The renovation project took about a few months, which is what we had planned for, so I was pleased with Avi's timeliness in getting the job done, especially since I was on a tight timeline to get my family moved into the home. As the project was getting close to finalized and the house was in a habitable condition, we started moving into the home. In October, we went through the punch list and I pointed out a few issues or outstanding/open items with various smaller tasks throughout the house, including the lack of handles on the kitchen cabinets and improperly installed kitchen drawer slides. This was understandable, as any project will have issues or open tasks that need to be addressed. I had no doubt that Avi would get these things taken care of and even went forward with writing him a good review that he included on his website (one that I now retract and think he should take down). How Avi handled things moving forward is where my experience with him really started to go down hill. Once we went through the punch list and he addressed the items, all that needed to be done was to complete the final payment. I did notice that there were several tasks on the invoice he provided me which he did not do. For example, the lights under the cabinets were not purchased or installed, but my bill had an $800 charge for installation of those lights. I was okay with forgoing the cabinet lights so when I sent him my final check, I deducted the costs of any items that were not performed given that I had an itemized invoice. There was no reason for me to pay for labor and materials that I did not receive and would not receive. In total, I deducted about $2,950 from my final payment for work that was not performed. To be clear, this wasn't for work that was in dispute or done in poor quality - it was for work that was not performed at all. I told Avi that I would be happy to discuss this with him, but he did not raise any objection. In the grand scheme of things, the deduction amounted to about 1.5% of the total renovation cost. In November, I started noticing some pretty significant issues with the quality of the work in the kitchen. The paint on the kitchen cabinets was peeling, the drawer handles were crooked, and the drawers would not close properly and were misaligned. The problems seemed to worsen as more time passed. I reached out to Avi and he essentially blew me off and would not stand behind his work, stating that despite the fact that he "always stands behind his work" he still had an "outstanding balance" with me. He was referring to the deductions in the final invoice, which, as I stated earlier, was for itemized work that he literally did not perform. He said that he would not dedicate any more resources to my project until this outstanding balance was complete. Keep in mind, I had paid him almost $200,000 at this point and he was refusing to address these issues. I was, and am, shocked and extremely disappointed, especially after he initially gave me an ultimatum that he would only do my home renovation if the kitchen was included in the project. I was forced to bring in other contractors to assess the kitchen issues. Two contractors both informed me that the cabinet work overall was very poor quality and that they recommended redoing the cabinets, which would cost tens of thousands of dollars. I even tried to reach out to Avi's cabinet subcontractors to see if they could help me directly, and they said that they could not help me and that I would need to resolve the issue with Avi (as he provides the warranty.) They even sent me an email showing the credit they issued to his account for the faulty work. As I said earlier, I wish I could say that I had a good experience working with Avi. But that is not the case. He gave me an ultimatum to take on my job, he tried to charge me for work he did not perform, he falsely claimed I owed him money, he performed poor quality work in the kitchen, and then he refused to stand by his work after receiving $200,000 and a prior good review from me. read more

Was waiting patiently at the GFL in Marietta to drop off some yard waste and remodel supplies with 60 other people. Whoever the driver was for Atlanta curb appeal buzzed right by everybody patiently waiting in line cut in line when a gentleman had been waiting as long as I had probably close to 30 to 35 minutes approach the driver I followed him and Atlanta curb appeals driver became very hostile, I would not use this business. This driver at the least should lose his job if not being incarcerated. Not cool. Not cool at all. read more

I am so impressed with Jose and Michael, the masons who rebuilt my front steps. They demonstrated expert skills in masonry and attention to detail. They worked tirelessly all day in scorching heat until late at night. When the project was completed, my front porch was in pristine condition - clean with no evidence of construction. Atlanta Curb Appeal recently completed a fence and a retaining wall around my house. Not only did they do an excellent job, but they communicated *very* thoroughly with me, every step of the way. The quote given to me was the exact price I paid at the end (no hidden or extra charges), all work was completed in a *timely* manner (no waiting around for contractors to show up...the owner had already arrived on the first day as I was leaving for work!), the turn around on the work was super-fast, and all of the people I interacted with were super-friendly. These guys were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. I will not hesitate to call them again when I have more work to be done around my house. read more

Avi, Andi and their team provided a high quality product at a fair cost. They were collaborative and flexible in developing the plan with the right balance of recommendations to our desired approach. The project was to demolish our existing, run-down second story deck and replace it with a brand new one, adding a screened in porch with a gable roof. The team methodically built the deck to code with quality materials and attention to craftsmanship. The screened in porch is beautiful with a finished quality roof that matches our home's roof, but a rustic comfortable living space that brings the outdoors in. read more

Andy and Avi are so incredibly helpful and patient, keep in constant contact, and the final product is always outstanding! This was our second bathroom they gutted and complete redid, and we get endless compliments on their work. Even more impressive, are all of their laborers, who are so polite and hard working, are still with them years later. That says a lot to me, their ability to hang onto good workers. I made an appointment, with Niclole(Nikki) for an estimate on Wednesday between 1-2:00. I am sitting around the house waiting for the appointment. I get a call at 12:40 saying they were in another appointment approximately an hour away.OK, so I said I could wait until 3:00. Then I was told by Avi that if he kept my appointment, it would interrupt his other appointments for the day. What?? Then Avi tells me, I live too far out for him to come and give me an estimate. Again, are you serious?? I live in Marietta, this company is located in Marietta. However, Avi tells me he mainly works in East Cobb and coming to the West side would just be too much of an imposition. You have got to be kidding me? My aunt and uncle recently held a house warming party, not because they bought a new house but because they completely renovated their home, and it looked amazing! I asked my aunt and uncle who they hired to help out with all these jobs and they told me Atlanta Curb Appeal. I recently purchased a condo and I needed to build out a studio room and wall into a fully enclosed, traditional, room, so I hired Avi (the owner) and his crew to do the job. It wasn't the basics that impressed me (arriving on time, friendly, professional, etc) but more so the great work and efficiency of the project. Within two working days, I went from a studio wall to a fully enclosed room with a door. And if you had never been in my condo before, you'd never know that a studio room was there before. Avi sent me pictures during the job to ease my mind while I was away from home and to me communication is essential, so this was a huge benefit. And last but not least, there were no surprises at the end of the job, the final price was right on budget! For future home improvement projects, I no longer have to deal with calling around and getting multiple quotes; I'll be going straight to Avi because I know that his work will be done on time, in budget and at a superior quality. read more

Don't even consider using Atlanta Curb Appeal for a small job. You are not good enough for them. Two and a half years ago, I got an estimate from Avi (back when the company was still humble) to gut a simple upstairs bathroom that had a leak in the shower pan. The bid for the bathroom work was $7,800 (very fair). Unfortunately, I ended up not having the work done at all, until now. Enter Andy, who came out last week and gave me a bid for the exact same job. This time the estimate was $14,585. Here are some of their ridiculous line items that have been added: $400 just to install one towel bar, toilet paper holder, and small mirror that I have to buy; $1,650 to repair the small patch of drywall in the room below where the shower pan leaked (note: I am having the job done by someone else for $250); $400 to install one small light fixture (again, that I have to purchase). In addition, there was some double billing on the new bid, and there were items added that don't even APPLY to my bathroom--like a tile bench that doesn't exist. When I spoke with Avi, he implied that my little job is not good enough for their company anymore and that they only work with very high-end clients (who apparently don't mind paying $400 to have a toilet paper roll installed). There is NO excuse for an almost 100% increase in the bid from two years ago. Inflation hasn't come close to matching that rate increase. If they didn't want to do the job, they should have told me that in the first place. But to bid on the job with a ridiculously inflated price just to avoid doing the work is highly unethical. But this is exactly how Avi explained the bid discrepancy to me. What an insult! There are a couple of other reviews on this page that reinforce their pretentious, arrogant attitude. My recommendation: choose a contractor who treats every customer with the respect and integrity that they deserve...because even a little upstairs bathroom is important to someone. read more

We just finished a complete remodel of our master bathroom with Atlanta Curb Appeal and the experience was very positive. Avi is extremely responsive - anytime we had questions or needed to brainstorm before making final decisions, Avi made it his priority to do so in-person, in an incredibly timely manner. We went from having a bathroom that was completely non-functional for two people (one vanity and no space) to having a bathroom that I only thought could only be experienced in weekend getaways to a spa. The job was affordable and the work was very high quality. This was the second time we worked with Avi. We hired Atlanta Curb Appeal on a few recommendations & we were thrilled with the outcome! We bought a home in East Cobb & the first project we wanted to do was take out the wall between the front room and the family room. Avi came over & gave us a few different options with varying degrees of look & cost based on the structural supports. We decided on a large opening with trim to match the rest of the doorway trims in the house. The results are beautiful & have totally changed look & feeling of the house. The opening let's light stream in from the picture window & shows off the existing built-ins. Avi, Andy, Josh & their whole team went above & beyond for us. Each team member we met were so nice, knowledgeable, great at what they do, a pleasure to work with & enjoyable to be around. Avi quoted that the project would take 10 days & they hit that goal. Josh was the project manager & everything ran efficiently. Josh & team always were very careful of the dust from demo & sanding, the house was always left tidied up after work was done. Near the end of the project we asked ACA if we could start another project with them, update our laundry area to accommodate our large washer/dryer & also update our powder room. Both rooms came out great; the laundry room has a custom counter with covert access to the washer shut off, a great example of what terrific problem solvers that guys are. We will definitely come back to ACA again when we tackle our next projects in our home! They are the best! read more

While Andy had been wonderful, Avi became extremely unprofessional and difficult - the worst experience we've had with anyone. My feedback is to proceed with caution. WARNING! This provider operated ILLEGALLY in the state of Georgia since they used an UNLICENSED plumber for my remodeling. Some work was completed in VIOLATION of building code. Georgia Department of State could not verify that ACA Designs LLLP (aka Atlanta Curb Appeal) holds a contractor's license, which is required for work costing more than $2500, and which would require sub-contracting or employing licensed plumbers, electricians, and HVAC specialists. Mistakes at my remodeling would have been made without my personal direction. Avi and Andy were rarely on-site during work activity to supervise. SUGGESTION: Before contracting, verify their general contractors license number with the Georgia Department of State and verify that their liability and worker's comp insurance is current by calling their insurance company. read more

Avi and his team at Atlanta Curb Appeal are amazing! We purchased an 80's Colonial that was in desperate need of an exterior update. We recently moved to GA and were leery about hiring a company without a personal recommendation. We interviewed TEN companies and, after meeting with Avi, the decision was made. Not only did Avi listen to our needs, he is creative, is an expert planner and his pricing is also very reasonable. We found a photo of a portico to add to the front of our house and they built it on site - and it turned out better than the photo - the builder is a true craftsman! They also built custom shutters that look amazing. Our house is 3 sides siding and we also replaced all of the deteriorating siding with HardiPlank, repainted the entire exterior (yes we painted the brick front!) and landscaped our entire yard, front and back. We demolished our concrete steps and they built a beautiful winding stacked stone walkway that transformed our entire property. Throughout the entire process, the communication with Avi was WONDERFUL - he is very responsive, always available by phone/text/email and visited the site almost daily to ensure the projects stayed on track - and they did. His entire team is professional, courteous, hardworking and take pride in what they do. We can't say enough great things about Avi and Atlanta Curb Appeal because our entire experience was wonderful.
