Was asked if I would like a procedure rather than why my body might need it. The front desk ladies are nice on the phone but while sitting waiting for the nurse to come in the room, you can hear everyone talking so poorly about the customers that were calling in. I don't feel like I trust that this place is looking out for the best of their clients, I am really considering finding another GI because of how much this experience shook my anxiety up.

I checked my bracelet and it had a similar first name to mine as well as a birthdate of November 1955. My birthdate is March 1974. The woman just heard my first name and said that I was there. She didn't bother to see that there were two women with similar names. Nor did she check my license or insurance ID to verify it was me. My husband asked to go home to grab something at check-in, and was told no. I finally got called back at 10:30. I was asked to go to the bathroom, and not flush. My BM was still brown. I was asked which solution I was prescribed, but I honestly did not know. Wouldn't they know if they prescribed it for me? I was also asked when I stopped taking pills, and I responded when the person I talked to through your company told me to stop. I was then told to go to the store, pick up (forgot name), and return at 1230. I went to the store as soon as I left the practice, picked up the product. Took an anti-nausea (that was prescribed) pill, and continued to drink the stuff. I believe I finished at noon. Got back to the office at 1230, where there was no receptionist. Someone finally got to me after waiting a few minutes. I told them I finished my drink at noon. They were shocked it took me so long to complete it. I had gastric surgery, so eating and drinking take me a long time. The anesthesiologist said I had to wait to be the last patient of the day because of the time I finished my drink. Completely understood for my safety. It is about 130 now. My husband had a DR appointment at 2 and asked to go there. They would end up saying yes, because he scheduled his appointment after he thought I would be home. I finally got pulled into the procedure room. I had to wait a long time for the doctor to come in. They finally started to put in the anesthesia. The Doctor then started the procedure, but didn't see that I was still awake. They had to place my IV in my other arm. Then I drifted off to sleep. While I was waiting in the pre-op room, I heard the nurses tell other patients about post-recovery. Not once did they tell me. At post-recovery, I had to ask about post-recovery. Honestly, there were to many issues with this office. I will NOT be returning.

Despite this, I was charged twice for services that should have been fully covered. I understand this may have come from incorrect information passed to the billing department, but it's still unacceptable. Patients who rely on QMB protections shouldn't have to fight to be treated fairly.

She also recently diagnosed a serious autoimmune condition after listening carefully as I described my symptoms. Dr. Carson is an exceptional diagnostician who acts decisively, thus eliminating the need for unnecessary tests or medication. To my surprise, some patients' reviews said she is rude. She is a very direct, no-nonsense person, not rude. I would much rather a doctor be an expert in their field and communicate clearly than one who addresses you as "sweetie" and sugar-coats things. He sent me for lab work... I had to call them days later to get my results! Come to find out it was something VERY serious, and they didn't even care at all. I called to get the results, and they told me what was going on. I had to call them back later on that day to get any form of medication called in for me. They never even called me back to tell me what the medication was or anything. I had to call my PCP to get them to help me. I called weeks after I finished my medication, stating that I was still in pain and needed help, the receptionist sent the doctor the wrong message. She calls me back hours later to tell me what he said. I told her that she sent the wrong message, she goes "Oh! Let me call him back. Then I'll call you back!" That was DAYS ago!!! I still haven't heard anything from him or his office staff. But I see that I have a prescription sitting at my pharmacy for something that's not even wrong with me. These people are CLOWNS!!! At this point I'm self diagnosing and taking care of myself! He needs to be the one reaching out to his patients, or AT LEAST the clinical staff. Not the receptionist who I'm sure doesn't have any clinical experience. This has been the most AWFUL EXPERIENCE, and I am truly dealing with a diagnosis that is very serious!!!
