Ok, so the bagels are good. We each ordered a bagel sandwich, and we were all pleased with our meals. I was a little bummed the rosemary olive oil bagel was sold out both times I stopped by here, but that's not a huge deal. However, what an absolute missed opportunity with the interior decorating. I tend to not trust a cash-only place, especially in the age of tablet and smartphone-based card swipe readers that take 2% or less. They're either hiding money, or too cheap to pay $0.10 to bring in a new $5 customer. I've been going to Atlantic Bagel for soooo many years (literally like 20 years). It used to be up on 3A before being downtown. There was a great manager that ran the place so well but he retired. The person that came in after was clearly not the right person for the job. Now there is a new manager and the place is doing great! Pros: consistently great breakfast sandwiches at affordable prices. The young staff who work in there are respectful and efficient. Cons: new management and cash only. The previous manager was always friendly and welcoming. The new manager rolled her eyes when asked if she could take a $50 for $10 worth of food and said hastily, "I guess I'm going to have to!" Call me sensitive, but if you're a cash only business and a new manager, I expect the complete opposite reaction as you attempt to build your own positive reputation and fill the shoes of a previous manager who set the bar high. Super fresh and you could really taste the flavors. We got both bagels with olive cream cheese. Place was very reasonably priced but be aware it's cash only. Hingham bagels are better and the new older woman working the register is rude. I went to buy a single bagel. I realized I did not have my wallet so i grabbed change out of my car. She kept the silver and pushed the pennies back saying in a condescending tone "I have no use for your pennies" I didn't have pockets so I scooped them up and tossed them in the tip jar. She picked up the tip jar and picked the pennies out and threw them in the trash saying " That's just rude!" WTF. My money is not good enough in change form AND gives you the right to comment on peoples morality? Sell the bagel, Shut up and wonder why your life choices have led you to bagel girl at 50 years old. I love both Atlantic bagel stores in Hingham and Cohasset. I have young boys and they like going to both stores. The staff at the Hingham store is amazing, always friendly. The young kids at the store in Cohasset are great. Sadly there is an older lady working the cash register at the Cohasset store who is just not nice. Saturday She got very upset with me for just standing at the counter talking to one of the kids about Lax. She should not work in a customer service industry. read more

I have only been here once but this is a great spot for bagels. The place is relatively small and I could see there being a long wait on a Saturday and Sunday morning. They have a million types of options for breakfast. My only compliant is the bagels are kind of small so if you are pretty hungry I would recommend getting 2 bagels. read more

Three friends and I went to Atlantic Bagel after being ignored for over twenty minutes at 5 South Main. Disgruntled, we made our way down Main St and found ourselves at Atlantic Bagel. We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived, finding a simple and delicious menu to choose from. The staff was courteous and helpful, quickly preparing our sandwiches perfectly. I had the #12, lox and cream cheese with onions and capers on a toasted bagel and was not disappointed. A big bonus was the fact that they had Hornstra's chocolate milk (my favorite). We were so full from our sandwiches we didn't even have room for the salad or homemade chocolate cookies we ordered. Can't wait to go back for more! read more

Genuinely upset I cannot give this place negative stars. Service from the younger girls is fantastic, they are all happy to work there. But the old woman working the register is a miserable person. She berates her staff when they have all been working there far longer than she has (or likely ever will if she keeps up her attitude). She throws away pennies like she is too good for them, which is just classless (and which I would also like to point out is illegal). She has a bad attitude to every customer that walks in the door and I have heard from others around town that she has screamed at people and kicked them out of the store after they have paid for their food. Was so bad it actually inspired me to write my first review. I came here at lunch time hoping to get something quick that would fill me up. As soon as I noticed they were using microwaves to cook almost everything I should have left. I ordered a chicken wrap then consisted of microwaved chicken, two cold kraft singles cheese slices and a bunch of raw, poorly chopped green peppers. Greetings my fellow bagel shop enthusiasts. This morning my friends and I were looking for an affordable and local place to get coffee and even some bagels. As we walked in, I had walked up to the counter to get a bagel that wasn't available anymore. Besides the fact, this crazy woman, (estimation, 50 years of age) mumbled under her own breath that customers should listen beforehand what bagels were available and what weren't. My friends immediately told me what was spoken from her and I had already predicted that she would be unstable and overall in an unhappy state of mind. I decided to not even waste my time and get a bagel. My friends were still in need for coffee (because you know how teenagers are with caffeine these days). As my two best friends made their way to the coffee ordering station, they had simply and nicely asked what coffee they were serving. The emotionally distressed woman rudely answered back saying "well the flavors are right next to you but we don't have hazelnut and Vanilla at the moment". Then, my friend was curious if the bagel shop was selling coconut coffee. The lady said "is that even a thing sweetheart?" in a terrible tone of voice. As my friend continued to talk, she ordered a medium snick a doodle with milk and just a couple of sugars. The cashier lady then opened her enormous eyes and said "well like like actually you can do that yourself right behind you over there." Being the teenagers that we are, we were in complete shock from how insanely offensive this lady was. We historically laughed and laughed as the workers (about our age) were apologizing for the actions of their manager. In our opinion, and I'm guessing many others as well, this lady is an unqualified misrepresentation of what this bagel shop truly is. Managers that are incapable to run a busy bagel shop, should not be managers at all. Going off from this long rant, an old bakery "Stephanie's sourdough" was managed by her as well. I have been there in my past, and have experienced the same amount of rudeness from the same lady. I vary rewarding bagel place. Good variety, the standard array of cream cheeses (all excellent) and the coffee is very good. The bagels are toothsome and well-prepared. Bagels ought to "resist" your bite a bit and these do. I have been here very often over the past 6 years and it remains consistent and very good.
