The place has so much potential but no one is keeping it up. The towels and linens were clean. I think our biggest complaint was the lack of customer service. There is no daily housekeeping/maid service here unless you pay $35 per cleaning. We were never told this...well, finally upon our third visit to the front desk we were. Beach tags are provided by the hotel...great! except they never told us this and we purchased on the beach. We asked for a credit after learning from other guests that beach tags are provided. The front desk girl deferred me to the manager who wouldn't be in until after our stay ended and shockingly, the manager refunded us without a fight! In the bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are supposed to be provided in dispensers on the wall...great! but 2 of the 3 were empty. There is no ice machine on the property but we learned from other patrons that you can ask at the front desk for a bag of ice. It would have been nice if all these little things were explained to us at check in or listed somewhere instead of having to learn by chatting with others halfway through our stay! Parking: 1 spot is provided per room, street parking is available for extra cars and it is easily found and free! Wi fi: provided at hotel whether you're in the room or on the property. I had a lot of problems using my cell phone for internet (with my data plan) while on the beach. On the weekends, I couldn't use my data at all due to all the thousands of other people in the area trying to use their phones as well. On the weekdays, I didn't have any issue. Bar/restaurant: I think it should be noted that there is a bar and grill attached to the hotel (no affiliation) and they have live music daily. All day on weekends and 6-10pm (check https://www.lagunagrillandrumbar.com/entertainment for specifics) on weekdays. After the band ends, a DJ may also play. I just think patrons should know this in case they like to go to bed early, etc. You can most definitely clearly hear the music in the rooms. Overall, I would stay here again...it had the basics and is a great location...but do not come here if you are looking to impress anyone or like to stay in nice places!

AVOID at all costs! This place is disgusting. There was food, hair, and god knows what else all…read moreover the mattresses. Food was behind the dresser and bed. The roof was collapsing in spots. Just awful.

The day before we arrived, we called and asked if it would be possible to upgrade rooms. They told us nothing is a guarantee, but that they would certainly make note of it in our reservation. To our surprise, when we arrived, we were upgraded to a Penthouse Suite! Our room was relatively clean, nicely decorated, a wonderful view and included a mini kitchen. We are fully enjoying our stay, here and would definitely come back. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: - resort is directly on the beach - beautiful and quiet NJ shore town, nothing like Wildwood or Seaside - the staff is all incredibly kind and helpful, they really want to make sure you are happy - restaurant in parking lot, lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance - room is comfortable and reasonably clean - nice rooftop view in penthouse suite - indoor pool - washer/dryer available for a smal fee - small game room - activities for children - drink and snack vending machines on site - nicely kept hotel all around - beach tags included Cons: - bed is a bit bouncy/springy - floor could have been swept a bit better in room - restaurant on site uses hotel parking lot for patrons' cars...the valet people park cars awfully close and in awkward places making it difficult to navigate for those trying to leave the hotel parking lot. I found it absurd that a huge truck was parked directly behind my car. I could barely get out and was within inches of hitting this truck. Thankfully I'm a descent driver. The hotel should really look into a better, safer...more sane parking option. - water pressure isn't very good - you have to call the front desk if you'd like ice - no daily room service, I understand this is a resort, but they charge $27 for "tidying up" your room, if you request it

Order their burger! * Great people-watching at the outdoor H20 pool (6th floor) * Lillie's is one of the best Asian restaurants around! Open late on the weekends. * Renovations are underway. New carpets in the lobby and updated guest rooms/hallways. Nice! * The Deck Bar (outdoor bar) - the only non-private bar on the water in Atlantic City * Strong wi-fi in guest rooms Cons: * This is the SMOKIEST casino in Atlantic City. Your hair will reek. * In-room dining only available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. * Aged clientele (lots of seniors). * Barn-style guest room bathroom door that offers zero sound privacy. * The Deck Bar (yes, this is both a pro and con). The bands (and their music) are redundant year after year. You will not get lost in here. The casino floor is relatively small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! *****THIS IS A LONG READ*****…read more This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I must say, my check-in experience was horrible! This is my birthday weekend, so I came alone for a little R&R and self-care. I did not expect to be treated as horribly as I was! I arrived about 3:30 and went to the kiosk for express check-in, only to realize I had left my wallet in my car. I went over to the bell hop desk, where I was nicely greeted by Mario, to ask if I could leave my belongings there while I went to retrieve my wallet. Mario explained to me that he could hold my things, but had to grab a cart for them and give me a ticket as standard protocol. While I waited for him to return, the most RUDE, NASTY, ARROGANT, IMPOLITE, IGNORANT male comes to me yelling, "MA'AM YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE!" I told him to calm down and stop talking to me like that! I then tried explaining the situation to him, and what Mario told me, but before I could finish, he cut me off and yells... "Well he's new! That's why he told you to leave your stuff here! I'M THE BELL CAPTAIN! HE SHOULD'VE CAME AND GOT ME! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE, YOU NEED A TICKET!" I asked him why he was yelling! There was no need for that, especially if I'm not speaking to him that way! He replies while flailing his arms around, "OH HERE WE GO! HERRRRRE WE GO!" I tried again to explain that Mario had already told me that, but Mr. "Bell Captain" who I later found out name is Saleem, was so bent on letting me know his position that he couldn't even hear what I was saying. Mario then comes back with the cart, and he proceeds to yell at Mario! "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! WHO AM I??? WHO AM I ??" Mario and another Bellman quietly says, "Bell Captain." He then says, "YEAH SO THAT'S WHY Y'ALL CHECK WITH ME FIRST!" I stepped in and told him that if he's a real leader, he doesn't have to blast who he is, (not to mention it was on his name tag) and he should not be embarrassing his employees publicly. He could have talked to him in the back and let him know what he did wrong. I didn't need to see that! I also told him, I'm not sure if he's having a bad day, but there was no reason for him to behave this way! He starts yelling...again...."I'M GREAT! ALL MY BILLS ARE PAID! I GOT MONEY IN THE BANK! I'M GOOD!" I don't understand what that had to do with anything but whatever. He then went back to yelling about him being the Bell Captain and what the protocol was for me leaving my stuff there. CLEARLY he missed that Mario did the right thing from the beginning! Mr. Bell Captain just felt the need to power trip in that moment for whatever reason. I told him he needed to listen and not interrupt when someone is speaking because he would have known that it was handled correctly! He put his hand up and says, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I looked at Mario, thanked him for helping me and told him he did nothing wrong. This situation made me so angry that I burst into tears! To add insult to injury, after all the drama, I was waiting for over an hour to get my belongings because SOMEONE put the incorrect room number in the system. I found that out because I had to go back down to the lobby to see what was going on with my things. I was late for my dinner reservation, and my night was pretty much ruined. I couldn't fully enjoy my dinner the way I'd hoped to. I actually cried while at the restaurant because I was still so frustrated with how everything had gone. Not only did I come here to rest and relax, I came her to try and release some of my grief from the loss of my Baby Brother. Hopefully my spa experience will be much better. Shout out to "T" whom I believe was the Operations Manager. He helped me calm down and agreed to address Saleem and the issue. However, I wanted this situation to be documented. NOBODY should ever be able to get away with mistreating ANYONE no matter their position. I WILL be pursuing this further until I'm satisfied with the outcome.

It was our first time staying here and the ambiance is on point. The first thing we noticed when we walked in the hotel was the amazing smell. My brother fell in love with the scent and asked a worker what it was, but unfortunately he didn't know anything. He mentioned it's the cleaning solutions he was using LMAO. No sir it's a hotel scent diffuser just say you don't know. Anywho as we were all checked in and went to the North Tower to our adjoining rooms, we got settled in and admired our rooms which was so spacious and I love that especially the bathroom :) We had an amazing view of the little theme park across from our hotel and to see the Ferris wheel light up at night was such a treat to look at from our beds. We finally went straight to eat. We found a cool buffet restaurant in the hotel that was really darn good. I had a little bit of everything but that New York strip steak with their chimichurri sauce was absolutely divine. I cannot remember the name of the restaurant, but I gave it 10 out of 10. After we ate, we went back upstairs and put on our swimsuits to go to the pool now here is where my review shifts left. I did not care for the pool as beautiful as the hotel is. The pool was lackluster, with hair and dirt/mock all in and around the pool. Since I am giving my two cents on this, I would highly recommend a nice outside pool to match the ambience of the hotel. And to also throw in there, the TV lost signal a lot, which was kind of a bummer. We dined at Hard Rock Cafe for both breakfast and dinner and as we ate our food, my brother kept saying he hasn't eaten a bad dish since we arrived so kudos to you guys I totally agree. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel. It is beautiful with all the celebrity pictures and the signature clothing pieces that they have worn being displayed is absolutely awesome to see. I will definitely be back again. I can't wait. So until next time happy hotel hunting.

They gave us a "complimentary upgrade" to the Ocean Tower even though we had booked 2 months ago for the Rendezvous Tower. We were not impressed with the "upgrade". It was like they divided 2 rooms to make one. The TV is too far from the bed to really watch it, the sofa was dirty and stained. The bathrooms were much smaller with 24" vanity in bathrooms with no place to place your toiletries. The shower was nice ...and extremely slippery. Yes they did supply a rubber mat that was probably 18" long at best. So proper placement before water hits the slippery floor was imperative. The sink faucets cold water was always warm and the shower water was at best lukewarm. We did go and complain about this and they offered us a "comped" meal at the VIP. More about that later in this post. We have ALWAYS had some sort of water view (even if so slight) and with the upgrade we got a dirty rooftop with spotlights ‍ Casino floor had very few "cocktail" Waitresses for water or coffee (we don't drink) We were also "comped" VIP dining for one night. It was horrible. Dried jerk chicken, pork was under cooked, the soup was like a salt lick and just a couple of bite size dessert options. I guess they expect people to just go and drink. Good thing I was able to fill up on a salad and lemon water. Not sure if we'll be coming back to this casino in the future.
