The place has so much potential but no one is keeping it up. The towels and linens were clean. I think our biggest complaint was the lack of customer service. There is no daily housekeeping/maid service here unless you pay $35 per cleaning. We were never told this...well, finally upon our third visit to the front desk we were. Beach tags are provided by the hotel...great! except they never told us this and we purchased on the beach. We asked for a credit after learning from other guests that beach tags are provided. The front desk girl deferred me to the manager who wouldn't be in until after our stay ended and shockingly, the manager refunded us without a fight! In the bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel are supposed to be provided in dispensers on the wall...great! but 2 of the 3 were empty. There is no ice machine on the property but we learned from other patrons that you can ask at the front desk for a bag of ice. It would have been nice if all these little things were explained to us at check in or listed somewhere instead of having to learn by chatting with others halfway through our stay! Parking: 1 spot is provided per room, street parking is available for extra cars and it is easily found and free! Wi fi: provided at hotel whether you're in the room or on the property. I had a lot of problems using my cell phone for internet (with my data plan) while on the beach. On the weekends, I couldn't use my data at all due to all the thousands of other people in the area trying to use their phones as well. On the weekdays, I didn't have any issue. Bar/restaurant: I think it should be noted that there is a bar and grill attached to the hotel (no affiliation) and they have live music daily. All day on weekends and 6-10pm (check https://www.lagunagrillandrumbar.com/entertainment for specifics) on weekdays. After the band ends, a DJ may also play. I just think patrons should know this in case they like to go to bed early, etc. You can most definitely clearly hear the music in the rooms. Overall, I would stay here again...it had the basics and is a great location...but do not come here if you are looking to impress anyone or like to stay in nice places!

We chose this hotel expecting a relaxing stay with my daughters and my two young granddaughters,…read morebut unfortunately, it was one disappointment after another. Our check-in time was 4:00 p.m. After several calls to the hotel from the beach asking if our room was ready we finally were able to check in at 5: 35. When we arrived at our room, a maintenance worker was repairing the door and told us we had to return to the lobby and wait until he finished. We asked if we could at least go into the room to begin getting ready, especially since we were traveling with small children and had been at the beach all day. Once we were finally able to enter the room, we found it wasn't properly stocked. There were no bath towels, no washcloths, no hand towels, no soap, and no toiletries. We contacted the front desk. He asked me to come get the towels. Since the maintenance worker had to return anyway to program the door, I even asked if he could bring the missing items with him. Another major disappointment was learning that the indoor pool was out of service. We specifically chose this hotel because we were traveling with our granddaughters, and it was 104° that day. Had we known the pool was unavailable, we likely would have chosen another hotel. After everything we experienced, we spoke with hotel staff/reservations to see if any adjustment, credit, or partial refund could be offered. Unfortunately, management was unwilling to do anything to acknowledge the inconvenience. The one bright spot during our stay was John at the front desk. He was clearly doing the work of several people, remained professional and courteous, and genuinely tried to help despite circumstances that were beyond his control. He deserves recognition for his excellent customer service. It's unfortunate because this experience could have been handled much differently. A room should be ready at check-in, stocked with the most basic necessities, and guests should be informed in advance if a major amenity like the pool is unavailable. While we appreciated John's efforts, the overall experience was disappointing, and we would not choose to stay here again.

I was here in the off season so wasn't able to go into local beach water or rooftop pool, but had opportunity to visit both. Much of the local shops and restaurants were closed or opened only limited hours during this off season, but could see the potential in season for more. The gym onsite was sufficient enough for my 3 visits during my 5 day/6 night stay. Equipment all functioning, clean and adorned with personal TV monitors. Earphones to be obtained gratis from front desk. Unit was pretty well kept, with only a few minor distressed spots here and there from previous occupant usage. All in all a convenient location for anyone fortunate enough to capture a unit like myself. Was able to get in some gaming, dining, Tanger Outlet and local shopping, historical site visit and some well deserved R&R before the holiday. Lovely experience with very cordial staff from front desk, doorman, shuttle driver and housekeeping staff. Look forward to seeing if I could get a unit during prime season.

New carpets in the lobby and updated guest rooms/hallways. Nice! * The Deck Bar (outdoor bar) - the only non-private bar on the water in Atlantic City * Strong wi-fi in guest rooms Cons: * This is the SMOKIEST casino in Atlantic City. Your hair will reek. * In-room dining only available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. * Aged clientele (lots of seniors). * Barn-style guest room bathroom door that offers zero sound privacy. * The Deck Bar (yes, this is both a pro and con). The bands (and their music) are redundant year after year. You will not get lost in here. The casino floor is relatively small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! *****THIS IS A LONG READ*****…read more This was my first time staying at this hotel, and I must say, my check-in experience was horrible! This is my birthday weekend, so I came alone for a little R&R and self-care. I did not expect to be treated as horribly as I was! I arrived about 3:30 and went to the kiosk for express check-in, only to realize I had left my wallet in my car. I went over to the bell hop desk, where I was nicely greeted by Mario, to ask if I could leave my belongings there while I went to retrieve my wallet. Mario explained to me that he could hold my things, but had to grab a cart for them and give me a ticket as standard protocol. While I waited for him to return, the most RUDE, NASTY, ARROGANT, IMPOLITE, IGNORANT male comes to me yelling, "MA'AM YOU CAN'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE!" I told him to calm down and stop talking to me like that! I then tried explaining the situation to him, and what Mario told me, but before I could finish, he cut me off and yells... "Well he's new! That's why he told you to leave your stuff here! I'M THE BELL CAPTAIN! HE SHOULD'VE CAME AND GOT ME! YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE, YOU NEED A TICKET!" I asked him why he was yelling! There was no need for that, especially if I'm not speaking to him that way! He replies while flailing his arms around, "OH HERE WE GO! HERRRRRE WE GO!" I tried again to explain that Mario had already told me that, but Mr. "Bell Captain" who I later found out name is Saleem, was so bent on letting me know his position that he couldn't even hear what I was saying. Mario then comes back with the cart, and he proceeds to yell at Mario! "DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN! WHO AM I??? WHO AM I ??" Mario and another Bellman quietly says, "Bell Captain." He then says, "YEAH SO THAT'S WHY Y'ALL CHECK WITH ME FIRST!" I stepped in and told him that if he's a real leader, he doesn't have to blast who he is, (not to mention it was on his name tag) and he should not be embarrassing his employees publicly. He could have talked to him in the back and let him know what he did wrong. I didn't need to see that! I also told him, I'm not sure if he's having a bad day, but there was no reason for him to behave this way! He starts yelling...again...."I'M GREAT! ALL MY BILLS ARE PAID! I GOT MONEY IN THE BANK! I'M GOOD!" I don't understand what that had to do with anything but whatever. He then went back to yelling about him being the Bell Captain and what the protocol was for me leaving my stuff there. CLEARLY he missed that Mario did the right thing from the beginning! Mr. Bell Captain just felt the need to power trip in that moment for whatever reason. I told him he needed to listen and not interrupt when someone is speaking because he would have known that it was handled correctly! He put his hand up and says, I'M NOT TALKING TO YOU!" I looked at Mario, thanked him for helping me and told him he did nothing wrong. This situation made me so angry that I burst into tears! To add insult to injury, after all the drama, I was waiting for over an hour to get my belongings because SOMEONE put the incorrect room number in the system. I found that out because I had to go back down to the lobby to see what was going on with my things. I was late for my dinner reservation, and my night was pretty much ruined. I couldn't fully enjoy my dinner the way I'd hoped to. I actually cried while at the restaurant because I was still so frustrated with how everything had gone. Not only did I come here to rest and relax, I came her to try and release some of my grief from the loss of my Baby Brother. Hopefully my spa experience will be much better. Shout out to "T" whom I believe was the Operations Manager. He helped me calm down and agreed to address Saleem and the issue. However, I wanted this situation to be documented. NOBODY should ever be able to get away with mistreating ANYONE no matter their position. I WILL be pursuing this further until I'm satisfied with the outcome.

They gave us a "complimentary upgrade" to the Ocean Tower even though we had booked 2 months ago for the Rendezvous Tower. We were not impressed with the "upgrade". It was like they divided 2 rooms to make one. The TV is too far from the bed to really watch it, the sofa was dirty and stained. The bathrooms were much smaller with 24" vanity in bathrooms with no place to place your toiletries. The shower was nice ...and extremely slippery. Yes they did supply a rubber mat that was probably 18" long at best. So proper placement before water hits the slippery floor was imperative. The sink faucets cold water was always warm and the shower water was at best lukewarm. We did go and complain about this and they offered us a "comped" meal at the VIP.
