Attended a Wedding Reception here and can honestly say this was a first class affair. The building is beautiful, well maintained and each room used for the Ceremony and reception was gorgeous. Guest rooms were great and exceeded expectations. Food at the reception was delicious as well as plentiful. All staff we encountered were professional and organized. A special shout out to Joanne who was so helpful and professional in keeping things organized and moving along. She made it look easy. Highly recommended!!

Had a wonderful stay! The our suite was spacious and clean. The pool was a great treat after a morning at the beach and the staff were all so kind! The location is unbeatable! We will definitely be back next summer!

We had a perfectly wonderful stay at the Flanders in the winter off-season. Very nice to have the suite layout. Big bedroom, usable kitchen and a nice living room. Everything in the room was super clean and well stocked. The amenities like the pool, the coffee shop and the spa were not open during January but no big deal. Loved walking around the first couple floors of the Flanders. There is plenty of history here. Definitely a nice place.

The hotel was not only in the ideal location, it was exceptionally clean. Every inch of this place was spotless, from the lobby, to the restrooms, to the stairwell, to the hotel suites. It was so lovely having not only a bedroom but a kitchen and living room with dining table. It had old world charm with a super friendly staff. And not to mention the location again, but the location couldn't be better. Wonderful staff. Wonderful stay. Nice heated pool for that rainy day fun. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Although a bit costly and only allow 2 night stay, the service and rooms are always clean.

Check-in and out was seem less. There was always someone at the desk to help us and they were very nice. They provide beach passes, parking is only $15 a day. The place is very clean, beautifully decorated and recently renovated (in the last few years). The rooms have their own AC units, beds are comfortable, bathroom is big with 10ft ceilings, a rain shower head for the perfect pressure and shower experience. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast is from 6am-10am. You can help yourself to cereal and oatmeal but they also have different menu items everyday. Today was omlet with 5 toppings or a parfait. The meal was well balanced with an arugula salad and a healthy serving of a variety of fruit. Coffee, tea, milk and OJ available. I loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs throughout the day reading my book. They offer blankets and umbrellas. Lemonade, coffee, tea, cookies, and wine are available in the evenings sometimes. Water (hot and cold) available from their filtered machine. You can sit inside or enjoy the porch area where there was a nice breeze. The owner, Sne, can be found working at all hours of the day. From serving coffee in the morning, fixing something in the afternoon, and delivering ice cream in the evening. He takes great care of the place and it's decorated with antiques he has collected. Only a couple blocks away from the boardwalk/wateraprk. The hospitality, attention to detail, and cleanliness were unmatched. We were only here for a night and are excited to return next time.

I really dislike leaving a negative review as there are several nice things about the hotel…read more However, everything I am writing below, I told directly to the hotel. Booking this hotel was a nightmare. I called to get a rate and ask questions. I called 4x and no one picked up. Out of desperation, I finally sent an email. I got a call the next day with a rate. However, when I tried to book that rate online, it was different. So, now I am trying to call the hotel again. Again, called 3x and no one picks up so I leave a message. I get a returned call and am told the online booking "includes a resort fee, but we can put that back on your credit card or I can take your card over the phone with the lower rate." I opted to pay over the phone (for the record, it's one of those hotels that charges you for using a credit card.). I was told to call the day before our arrival and advise when I'd like to check in because they would try to accommodate. This is a nice gesture and I appreciate it, but it's not nice when you call and guess what? No one picks up! We called the morning of our arrival and they did accommodate an early check in which was nice. You should know that you check in in 1 building and walk to another where you are actually staying. There is no security. Anyone can walk into the hotel (no lobby). You are literally walking into a hall with an elevator and there are no safeguards like needing a room key to make the elevator work. (They use old fashioned keys.) Room was cheerful, clean and looked like the photos. Our bathroom had a window that the view was a hallway. You had to put a screen down or people walking bay could see into your bathroom/shower. Odd. I would also say the walls are very thin. You can hear everyone and anyone walking past your door, etc. We went to OC for First Night and spend NYE having a wonderful time there, but when got back at midnight, there was no hot water. None. We were all freezing and none of us could take a shower. Sadly, I called the "front desk" and surprise! No one picked up. I called 3x. When I checked out, they said "The envelope with the keys had an emergency phone number on it. You should have called that. This makes no sense. The info on the phone in the room gives you a front desk number. I explained my frustration. The desk person said he'd try to get some compensation. 2 days later I got an email that $30 was taken off the room. I called to confirm this was for the lack of hot water. The same man who was at check out is who I spoke to. "I was able to discount the room rate, but I need to discuss with the owners anything else. I will call you on Tuesday and let you know what happens." Today is Wednesday and never heard from them. I am rating them "poor" because they never followed up. I had no expectations about further compensation, but please please please don't say you will follow and then not do so. Poor form.

Considering what it used to be it looks horrendous and just terrible. It used to be a landmark and a famous hotel on OC with beautiful plants, facade, a cool waterfall and looked like a nice little tropical escape. Yeah 4 years ago were the rooms looking a little worn and needing renovation but it was still cleaner than any other hotel I was ever in and noting broken. The pool was so much fun, plenty of shade a really cool waterfall, nice tropical plants. The office was warm and welcoming. Now it's just a hunk of "modernization" if that makes sense. The office looks like a dentist office. All white, no character. The famous exterior lava rock , plants, and waterfall... gone. Plain old wood panels with the "modern" white wood tile things. All the plants are gone in the front and replaced with grass. Everything is white, gray, and blue gray. For lack of better words it looks like crap. Worst thing tho is the pool looks sad and empty, no more waterfall. ITS GONE!!! It looks like how the pool used to look in the 60's and 70's. The fun welcoming atmosphere is gone. And it's sad to see it go. Ocean city lost a gem, hopefully to be one day restored to its former glory. The new owners made a promise to continue the legacy of the hotel and keep the name. LIARS!!!! It's now named "Ocean's Edge" and are quickly killing (if they haven't already) the legacy.

New Ownership -Worst Stay EVER in 21 years of staying!…read moreTahiti Inn apartments (now called Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments) are FAR from LUXURY. Still part of the Inn, but new name and false advertising. We have been coming here for 21 years - and this year we stayed in June AND July. our stay in June was the first under new management. Our "luxury" apartment, in which we have stayed in every year for two decades... was recently remodeled. We knew there had been a remodel and new management and were willing to pay the immense price hike. We were looking forward to seeing the updates, only to find: We requested and paid for a large apartment (advertised) and received a small apartment. When questioned, we were told it is the same square footage. But Apartment #11 (for anyone checking in) has a MICRO - kitchen and it is not the same. - Our apartment was unfinished. Sheetrock dust everywhere. No furniture, other than three beds and a couch, two lamps. - The windows were not covered. Curtains laying in closest on the floor. The curtain hooks were hung with weak hardware, and were falling off the wall. (pics below.) We requested they be fixed for privacy. This was never resolved. - No dresser or stand for any suitcases. - TV's did not work, and no help came to fix this when we requested assistance. - TV internet did not work. Still no assistance. - No blow drier. - We purchased groceries for our stay, to wake up the next morning to find the refrigerator was not working. They replaced this for us. - Kitchen area had no place to plug in toaster. We had to use the bedroom floor (only outlet with remodel) to make toast. - No broom, dustpan (OCEAN=SAND) - And management is only on site periodically. Staff cannot assist unless with permission of management. - Water dripping from light in bathroom. - Hot water only in one bathroom shower at a time. - One roll toilet paper per bathroom. - Four towels between two bathrooms. - No cleaning service provided unless asked, and we had to find a random broom/dustpan, garbage bags, and never received a blow drier, even after requesting twice.(Every hotel big and small, has a blow drier.) - Mold on patio walls. - Staff sat outside apartments in chairs while our family exited and entered doors, - Ladders and hoses everywhere. Little kids trying to climb and use. - No ice machine. - No sand rinse station anymore. All sand comes back to your room with you. - Pool was closed off and on for repairs. - Occupants repeatedly smoking on our patio. Reservation clearly states NO smoking premise. - Management we dealt with was rude and impersonal. - We took a few photos to show management upon check-in, with concern of being charged for damage. - The remodel is an upgrade as far as "appearance," in the apartments, but other than that - after 21 years, we won't be returning unless there is new management, acknowledgement of the issues, and major improvements and follow up sent. This was in June/July 2025. All of the provisions listed on website were false. If you choose to book at the Tahiti Inn apartments (now Ocean's Edge Luxury Apartments,) pack everything you need from home, because you will not find it here. We really miss the outstanding service and care from previous owners.

Each unit has different owners managed by 1 on-site agent who caters to the owners, not the tenants. Inspect your unit before you sign the lease and at check-in. If a hurricane renders your beach week useless the realtor will attempt to collect your unpaid balance and NEVER will you be refunded for catastrophic weather that prevents you from using your full week, while just across the street, the Ocean 7 will GLADLY refund you for unused days even after you've checked in. Promised improvements were not made between rental years which I only discovered after the long ride here. The common facilities are very clean but there is absolutely no privacy and it gets noisy. The good points: Location is 10 out of 10, 3 steps from the heart of the boardwalk, bike rental & beach. The common facilities are very well maintained, including an outdoor heated pool and 1 hot tub, a group sundeck. Each unit facing the sundeck has outdoor table and chairs. My unit has a kitchen/livingroom combo with working dishwasher. There are laundry facilities on site and 1 ice-machine. My unit is always clean enough at check-in & the softwater pressure in the shower is strong enough. Needs improvement badly: Needs to be renovated; mattresses have rot, bunk beds are peeling onto the face of person sleeping on bottom. Pillows are lumpy & gross & blankets were stained and torn. The livingroom futon (counts as a 2 person sleeper...) is uncomfortable and not clean. TVs are tiny & antiquated, some remotes were missing. Cable service is cheap bare bones: 3 networks, CNN & antennae TV. Parking: You get one shady off-street space per unit large enough for a sedan or compact car. Inevitably there's always an idiot with a large truck crammed in & parked so close to me over the line that I cannot open the door to my car at all. Very discourteous. I had to take photos to ensure that the truck didn't dent my car. You have to bring every single thing you need for a week with you, including toilet paper, pillows, sheets, blankets, trash bags, paper towels, cleaning products, etc., so come prepared. After a very long ride to get here, there wasn't even a square of t-paper when I arrived; a little courtesy would go a long way...
