    Jumbo lobster tail, grilled.
    Scott W.

The lobster turned out good! I grilled it with a butter, lemon, garlic, chive white wine marinade. Also feels good to support local businesses. This was the large $44 lobster tail which seemed a little expensive but it was humongous. I defrosted in water in the fridge and it took about two hours to defrost. This is my first large lobster tail. I have to say, the small to mid tails are definitely sweeter with more flavor. I'd recommend going that route instead of dropping this much coin on the big one. Still it was pretty good and paired up nicely with my ribeye and a nice bottle of Napa Cabernet... and had a nice presentation.

I thought the lobsters were excellent. The other seafood looked and smelled fresh. I would go there again for seafood.

Try going down to the docks and talking to the fisherman, they're salty!

It is very popular as is the restaurant that bears nearly the same title across the street. I've picked up fresh shrimp on a couple of occasions and some whiting. Safe Harbor is pretty spacious inside, has a nice parking lot with pretty easy entry into the store. I'm very impressed with the many varieties of sauces and spices they carry. It appears they like to make the best ones available to the customers. If you want some merch, yes, there is one area that carries t-shirts and other accessories. Also, those who work the counters and check-out are very friends and supportive when you have questions. For many, it's a pretty long drove here, but they come anyway! I will say that the cost of fresh fish can be pricey, and it is here. But you're pretty much going to get some of the best in seafood offerings in Jacksonville. It's worth the trip to get here! Recommend: HIGH

Honestly the first point isn't too bad because the closer you get to the restaurant, the more it smells like cooked seafood which smelled so so good. But the second point is a huge game changer. The quality is sooo good. And you can even treat the restaurant as a way to kind of taste test things before you head on over to the market to shop.

With seating at the bar we were served right away by a pleasant women who worked with us our entire stay. We started with the fish dip which was very good. A bit more cream cheese than I normally like but was still very good. Also had the Crab Savannah soup which is like a tomato based she crab soup, excellent!! For our entrees my wife had the Poke' Bowl with seared tuna. Asked for medium rare but got more to a medium color (gray) but the veggies that it came with were fresh, flavorful & crisp! For my self I had the oyster poor boy which was huge! Plenty of oysters and cooked just right. The remoulade sauce had a nice flavor and the veggies also were fresh & crisp. The ambience is more like a warehouse feel but I'm ok with that kind of atmosphere. In talking with our server Sunday's is there busiest day. So, if coming on a Sunday get there early or pack some patience as the food was very good & worth the trip. Thank you for a nice time! We'll be back!!

I'd also love to see little ready to grab nabe/hot pot veggie packs. I'm surprised the owners are sleeping on such an easy revenue stream: the broth bags go next to the hot pot meat, maybe above them. Then you grab meat, broth, and pop over to produce to grab your veggie pack. Dinner is basically done, or in your back pocket. H-mart and Tokyo Central both have almost that exact setup. Overall though, pretty good spot for Korean or Indian supplies. The checkout lady was kind of rude. Her friend wasn't done bagging our groceries and she went ahead and started the next person, so their groceries were flowing right down to ours. Just wait the 1 minute for the current customer's transaction to actually be finished, they will leave I promise.
