Publix service is so ridiculous. They will smile and ask you if you found everything you were looking for over and over. But you will stand at the deli for a sub for 30-40 minutes. And that's isn't an exaggeration. Last 10 times I've been there at the deli section, with nobody in front of me. Stood there so long waiting on service, That I have left. Some of us have an hour for lunch. We can't wait 30 minutes to get a side of potatoes. And the deli employees will walk by, look you in the face and continue to stack the Publix chicken. i've shopped here numerous times. But my last time shopping here was not the greatest experience. I was looking around in the meat department for lamb. Didn't see any on the shelves, but an employee offered to get it for me in the back. He brought out three what he told me was fresh pieces of lamb. I just can't anymore with the Pharmacy here. I've missed many doses of medicine for a terminal condition because they cannot get my pills on a synchronized schedule. Instead they continue to fill useless prescriptions ( after I have asked them not to)& after I have tried taking them off my profile. It's frustrating and time for me to find a new place. After the guy in front of me just left cussing under his breath, I really think you'll be losing more.......... Let me add that I have attempted to call and it's been ringing for over 7 minutes Update: hubby finally reached the pharmacy and spoke with Kim, who said she's fixed this issue and offered a refund for the useless medication ( which I will donate to the shelter) but they cannot take back medicine. I've had this discussion in the past, so we will see. I've added a star for the customer service he received and will update when/ if resolved. read more

I will absolutely never set foot in this location again. I will drive out of my way to go to another Publix or another grocery altogether. The young woman working the seafood counter was absolutely insulted that she had to answer customer question(s). She, along with a low brow, down market borderline white trash customer who decided to make my conversation her own both claimed I was rude. Let me absolutely 100% clear, I never raised my voice, did not call anyone names nor used any cuss words towards either of them. I rhetorically asked the other customer if she works for Publix when she decided to insert herself in the middle of my conversation with the employee and I said "thank you" after she said no she did not work there. The employee's behavior as well as the behavior of the customer caused me to leave my cart in the middle of the store and finish my shopping with another business. I was in this Publix 2 days in a row and I wish that this location was closer to home! This Publix is HUGE! It is just out of the way if I wanted to shop here on a regular basis- now, if I am out this way- I will for sure pop in for groceries! The second day I was in was with John and even he admitted it was nice and would be great to shop here on a regular basis. Like the majority of Publix Grocery Stores- the staff is attentive and efficient. Because this location is so huge- there is bigger selections and they even had an extensive fishing gear section in the seasonal aisle! John commented that he had never seen that, but I have- customize based on your market! One of the many things I enjoy about Publix. I'm born and raised in Florida so Publix is a staple and my "go to" grocery stores for all my needs. I have gone to all of their competitors stores but none seem to have the same quality of food as Publix or customer service. My husband who is from California agrees. We mainly enjoy their fresh meats and cold cuts. We go weekly for ribeyes, their pre-made meat loads and to get 1 lbs of Publix turkey breasts. I am also a huge fan of their bakery, mainly their French baguettes. Today, I was excited to announce that they had Lysol spray. I have been searching for over a year in various stores and I was very happy to find Lysol. I purchased 2 because that was their limit. I just had a deli/sub station worker completely ignore me after I'd been in full view waiting in line for over five minutes to help someone who had just walked up to the hot bar. This was after I had stood in front of the sub station and had gotten ignored for over five minutes (still in full view of deli staff) before leaving to shop and coming back when I saw someone working it. This is the third time this has happened this month. Do I need to bring a flashing sign and wear reflective gear or something? I really don't mind the wait, but at least acknowledge me and let me know you'll be right with me if you have to switch back and forth between the subs and hot bar. Y'all need to work on the customer service training with the staff here, it's not good compared to the other locations in Jax. read more

I have always need impressed with the team at almost every Publix I shop but the team at Cobblestone always seems to go the extra mile I often get seafood and ask them to package it a specific way and they quickly fulfill my desired happily and with a smile. Today I stopped in for a box of their fried chicken, which is always the best around. There wasn't any on the warming shelf so I asked the team member working there and he quickly went to the back and got me a box Then after finishing my shopping and checking out , I stepped outside to find the rain storm had re-started and it was pouring rain! There was already 5 or 6 team members outside with umbrellas helping shoppers get to their cars. I asked to borrow and umbrella to get to my car and the young man didn't hesitate to hand over and umbrella and he was there waiting to grab it from me when I drove up after getting my car so I could return it without getting wet! This type of service and quality products is why in drive by other stores to go to Publix. read more

This Publix is basically a goddamn carnival and has the atmosphere of a massage parlor on Christmas Day. I haven't made eye contact with a single employee since January of 2014, they're simply oozing with professionalism up here. It's one of those fun Super Markets where they do events and games. Every Saturday you can bring in a bucket if you want. Each Monday you can grab a free handful of jalapeño popper dip which is my absolute fav. What else is there to say? I love my local Publix! It is always clean, well-stocked, and friendly. This is one of the smaller locations and it underwent a renovation over five years ago so it is due for another update soon. Prices can be high compared to ALDI and Walmart but this grocery store serves the nearby neighborhoods well and you can always find BOGO deals. read more

Watch 2 employees try to keep up with the demand of 3 different lines (deli meat/cheese, sub department, hot bar) while 5 other employees wander aimlessly about doing absolutely nothing. Was in line tonight behind one other person and walked off after 15 minutes as the lady in front of me was only halfway through getting her 2nd lb of cheese sliced. Lot of attitude, zero work ethic. This place has gone slowly down hill over the last 2 years, it's either because company policy has the manager's hands tied, or because the managers are just terribly inert. Location is convenient to the beach which makes it a great place to load up on supplies for your beach picnic. There is always plenty of parking too. You are greeted every time you walk in the door. I've shopped here a few times but today my shopping experience was exceptionally amazing! I had ordered some wings from the deli section and there was a few minute wait for the wings so I told the worker lady I'll come back for them. A few minutes later in the dairy aisle comes the lady with my wings. She came and found me to deliver the wings for me!! Never in my shopping experience have I had any employee hand deliver groceries to me. I was beyond amazed and very pleased. Good job publix. ARE WE BEING SERVED CLEAN FOOD? I visited my quick go to for a meal on 08/19/22 at Publix on monument rd. I ordered a serving of wedges and a serving of chicken tenders. The Representative proceeded to pick up the wedges with gloved hands and then with said gloved hand start punching numbers on the on the scale. I asked him why would you use the same glove to touch food and the machine and he said that is how it is done. I thought for sure he did not understand, and again he reiterated that is how it is done. I then told him that was not correct. He then looked me in eyes took the bag and placed in a counter to rear of the serving area. He then walked away to the back without addressing me. I waited for awhile and another gentleman who was in the process of serving another customer, asked if I was being served. I then told him that the other representative was already assisting. Shortly after the representative came back with thong swinging in his hands. At this time a young lady walked over and proceeded to take the last few tenders remaining. He looked at her looked at me and then without saying anything to me walked away. He retired a few minutes later and said " the wait time fir tenders will be 15 minutes" I looked at him stunned at what his communication was to me. No apology just " the wait time will be 15 minutes" He looked at me shrugged his shoulders and again walked away again to the back. Shortly after the cook came around served a few customers and nicely asked if I was being served. I shortly told her what had happened and she stated that she would cook some tenders for be. I requested a Suov and a few minutes later, Christine came around, apologized for the wait. I again told her what had happened and she apologized, quoted a 19 minute wait. I advised that I was not as bid to edit any longer and she asked if there was anything else's the at j bag have wanted instead, I told her no snd she apologized. Please pull your video footage and counsel the representative on proper food preparation and customer service. I never in a million day thought that I would have to write a bad review for Publix', as in training my staff, always refer to the great customer service from Publix as a whole. This is the worst Publix in Jacksonville!!!! The deli section is ALWAYS horrific! The only reason I come here sometimes is because it is the closest to home!!! It makes zero sense how terrible this deli section is ran. I always call in my order for wings ahead of time because they are always out. I show up today and had to wait an hour and a half after I had already came in to place the order and hour before that. A total wait time of 2 hours and 30 minutes for some wings is unacceptable, and this is not the first time. All the people around me have been waiting forever as well. Publix truly out does themselves. I'm always body carrying my daughter so although I am able to load all my groceries onto the moving belt it can be somewhat of a challenge. Multiple times has the nagging guy/girl came over and helped me out, I have never received this type of help any other grocery store. People often complain about publix prices but I think good food doesn't come cheap and there's no price on decent meat. Their deli selection is pretty darn great, from sandwiches, salads, dips for chips and any party needs. You seriously can't go wrong. 10/10 I highly recommend. Keep hiring awesome people! read more

This is the closest Publix to our house, and the only Publix we shop at. Within the las 6 months it has gone extremely down hill when it comes to produce all around. Went in today and every navel orange I picked up were about rotten. The vegetables only last a day or two after purchase. It is very disappointing considering this is our go to location. read more

This Publix is the worst one yet! Unfortunately we moved from the beach to cobblestone, and this sad excuse for a Publix is the only one close. First ALL the employees start closing the store over a HOUR before it actually closes!!! I don't mean vacuuming and whipping stuff! I mean putting Everything away! Where you can't find stuff you need anymore! The deli is awful because the ignorant rude employees are so mad you're asking for ANYTHING after 8:30 you get treated like s***! (That's IF someone gives you the time of day to help you! Now I get wanting to leave when the store closes but damn they really sacrifice customer service to make sure they get out just in time! This is my neighborhood grocery store. I never even liked grocery shopping until I went with my wife a few weeks ago to Trader Joes and had a wonderful time. I have gone back there with her a few more times and can now say that I enjoy grocery shopping, especially with my wife. So...we were at this Publix a couple of times this past weekend and I cannot find anything bad to say about it. Sure some of the items are expensive. That's what happens when you are paying for quality items in a very comfortable, relaxed environment. Chaos reigns in establishments that offer cheap,substandard product. Now don't get me wrong, shopping here is not as fun as it is at TJs. This Publix is always clean. The staff is always nice and helpful. All items are attractively presented . I mean you want to buy things here. It's not a chore to try and find someone to check your items and get out. Now, I am not a grocery store snob because I spent some time shopping with my wife. I spent some time in our neighborhood Winn Dixie as well this weekend and I have positive things to say about that in a review for 'The Beef People" later. read more

So this is the newly remodeled Public on Monument Rd. When I checked in I selected the Merrill Rd store out of habit so all the updated pictures are attached there. Actually it's just about the same store in a larger space. A few upgrades but not many. Some of the items I quest for werkly, fresh followers which has been well improved here, but if customers are not buying it will surely be downsized.. something that did catch my eye when you enter and turn right the massive cake dessert counter is blam! right there. I can now plan my meals around the desserts I choose. The beer and wine areas have been pumped up and are pretty impressive. Especially the beer. Fish counter which I always though was one of the worst was checked full of fresh and frozen offerings. Even the Sushi has been upgraded. They are offering a small olive bar which to me was just meh! I did not (my bad) travel to the veggie/fruit area. I love good fresh fruits and veggies and go to Fresh Market or Earth Fair for both. Over all the newness makes shopping here very appealing and the closeness will bring me back for now. I hope it stays busy and people buy the new items now available. If not it will return to the same tired market it was just in a larger space. read more

Overall this is a great Publix, very clean, nice pharmacy, good produce, bakery, deli, and meat department. The floral and gift department is also full of a great variety of plants and cards. The 5th star is missing due to the fact that I the employee wearing an assistant manager badge is always out front on the side of the entrance smoking and throws his butts in the parking lot!
