This review is for the seafood market which is directly across the street from the restaurant. The seafood market is a wonderfully large place with plenty of fresh seafood and all the accompaniments you would need to prepare a great seafood dish on your own. We stopped by after going to the restaurant and got some fresh mayport shrimp along with corn, potatoes, citrus, and some ingredients to make a seafood boil. Everything was so fresh, and the market even smells fresh... Not like the standard fish market. For those who like to grab fresh seafood and eat it right away, there are picnic tables and benches right outside the front door. They do offer to pack seafood products in ice at checkout, a very nice touch. With great pricing, fresh products and excellent service this is a wonderful seafood market to visit.

We had lunch across the street at the restaurant and then decided to check out the seafood market for some fresh seafood for dinner. If you have not been here you should really check it out because it is massive. The space is impressive and really clean. They have every type of fresh seafood, including plenty of varieties and sizes of Mayport shrimp. We also picked up some corn, potatoes and garlic boil ingredients. The prices were very reasonable. They also have ice available in case you need it. Service was quick.

The food was amazing, the atmosphere was fun, and the service was great! Brought my parents out here for some great seafood and a couple of brews! A must try if you're in Jacksonville/Mayport area,

If you're a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit! I've been here a few times now and decided to give it a review. The seafood always looks fresh, and the store is always clean and organized. They offer a wide variety of seafood options, from frozen to fresh. They also have a great selection of seasonings and cooking essentials for seafood cooking. I recently made smoked crab legs on the grill and they were absolutely delicious!

    The choice is yours....

If you aren't able to try your luck out on the water catching your own fish this is a very good alternative. I shop here regularly. From Mahi, shrimp, red snapper, to Salmon they have a very nice selection of fish. They also have plenty of seasonings and other delicious choices to complete your seafood meal. From poke to chowder you'll find something to suit your fancy here. The clerks offer advice on parings. As well as methods to season and cook your fish. They also will cut up your who fish anyway you'd like. They offer a military discount as well. If you want the full experience you can even try out their restaurant across the street (full review coming soon).

Talk about fishy business- this place has all the fishy business you could want! Most fresh off the boat! I usually come in for fresh Mayport shrimp & local fish. My latest stop in was with my mom & she got a huge lobster tail to make lobster bisque. You can find great seafood for decent prices & a huge market. I do appreciate all the spices, fresh lemons & onions & such to help you complete your seafood meals!

With seating at the bar we were served right away by a pleasant women who worked with us our entire stay. We started with the fish dip which was very good. A bit more cream cheese than I normally like but was still very good. Also had the Crab Savannah soup which is like a tomato based she crab soup, excellent!! For our entrees my wife had the Poke' Bowl with seared tuna. Asked for medium rare but got more to a medium color (gray) but the veggies that it came with were fresh, flavorful & crisp! For my self I had the oyster poor boy which was huge! Plenty of oysters and cooked just right. The remoulade sauce had a nice flavor and the veggies also were fresh & crisp. The ambience is more like a warehouse feel but I'm ok with that kind of atmosphere. In talking with our server Sunday's is there busiest day. So, if coming on a Sunday get there early or pack some patience as the food was very good & worth the trip. Thank you for a nice time! We'll be back!!

The store clerk was kind and very pleasant to the customers. Everything looked fresh and the miscellaneous items were stacked nicely as well. There was a lady outside in the parking lot asking patrons for money who eventual came inside and asked the store clerk if she could use the restroom; the store clerk was polite and said yes. I overheard this exchange but I felt it was worth mentioning and three stars at the very least. When I asked if they used butter or margarine on their fantastic looking crab trays and the clerk said margarine. I appreciated her honesty but everyone knows how extremely unhealthy margarine is; margarine is not five star quality. The overall experience and interaction was five stars but the margarine is a negative one for sure and needs to be reconsidered.

It was fun to see the fresh caught fish in a display case on the way to order. At the end of our visit I chatted with one of the staff and she was super friendly to this out of towner. I personally had one of the specials - Cobia grilled with teriyaki glaze and mango salsa and fried okra instead of fries. The fish was cooked perfectly, not dried out, the flavor combination was well balanced. The okra was plentiful and, while I prefer cornmeal batter (Cracker Barrel style), this batter was seasoned just right and cooked to a nice golden color. I noticed that even though everything has a fried option, the restaurant didn't smell greasy or fishy. My husband had a fried chicken sandwich that he enjoyed and my nephew had a cheeseburger that looked delicious too. No one walked away hungry or disappointed today. Only thing I missed was trying dessert, but we headed out just before it got busy with the dinner crowd. I would definitely eat here again and recommend to friends!
