Ok so here i go, i have been a loyal customer since 2015, i went to get my 2nd vehicle to lease back in November, Franswa was my salesman. we were there for 6 hours, i get that they were busy but still. I felt like i was being given the run around, they wouldn't help me out with payments i could afford they just kept coming up with rediculous numbers,oh i had i Hyundai Elantra which i did not like and did not feel safe in so i went in to do an early trade. So they wanted to put me in the Sonata which i settled for. I had no choice to what we finally settled on and had to struggle to make these payments, but then comes finance to where they screw You even more. So of course payment got higher. And again no choice i needed a vehicle. So fast forward 3 months later, my mom unfortunately got into a car accident with it, she is ok thank god, but car was totaled and car was considered a total loss. I called to make appointment with Hyundai and the man on the phone told me they were having great sales on the Sonata(bull).I went back to Hyundai yesterday morning, had a different salesman, Patsy. So basically it was like he or they did not even acknowledge the car and the total loss of it. I was basically like a new customer to them and went through the same bull with the payments and again with finance to where again more money had to come out of my moms pocket to put money down and my payments were still more than the last Sonata.Forgot to add i got the same exact vehicle. Once vehicle was ready to go, which they did not fully prepare for me, it was like i was suddenly forgotten about.I'm sorry but they are liars and thieves. And do not care at all about the customers at all, yeah they give free coffee bagels and manicures but still. I will still go there for the care of my vehicle, but in 3 years I'm going elsewhere and hopefully by then i will be treated like a human no matter what dealership i choose next time. read more

service review. went in for a check engine light. The problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed within 3 hours. The only drawback is the HUGE up-sell. The check engine light was covered under the warranty, but they recommended about $800 worth of maintenance work on a 28,000 mile car without any perceived issues!!!!??!?? I was in the market for a 2013 Hyundai Sonata and like many of us I shopped around. I called Atlantic Hyundai (based on the positive reviews on this site and others) and inquired about the lease specials they were running on the Sonata. I explained to "Erin" at Atlantic Hyundai that my wife and I were coming from a distance and we had already priced out a few deals prior. I understand that Erin's job is to get us through the door however, we asked that a manager "beat" or at least "match" the best offer we received previously. Erin put me on hold and asked. According to Erin, the manager said that it sounds reasonable and they would definitely at least match. When my wife and I got to Atlantic Hyundai we were approached by Ed Brightman. Ed was not helpful from the begining. I had to repeat myself several times in order for him to understand "my situation". I explained to Ed that we had called Erin earlier in the day and that this should be a simple transaction. Ed did not even know where Erin's office was located in the dealership. After about a half hour of repetitive conversation with Ed...he then "runs" the numbers to his finance manager...John Lane. Ed and John come back to his desk and John says "this is ridiculous...who could have possibly given you this quote?...the numbers just do not add up!" My wife and I then walked out and would never return to this bait and switch location. BE AWARE...if they are giving you a hard time selling you the car, imagine if you have a problem. I would never recommend this place. It was the most unprofessional dealership we have dealt with. I took my 2011 Elantra Touring in for service . The service rep. told me that all 4 brakes were very bad and that they had to be done right away. I did not have them done because the car was just inspected 2 month before. The next day I took off the wheels to check the brakes. The rears are like new The front were about 1/2 worn. I would say you could get about another 10,000 miles out of them. Thanks to them I wasted about 1 hr for nothing and saved about $1,000 on repairs I did not need. I just leased a new vehicle from Atlantic Hyundai. From the moment I walked through the doors till the moment I picked up the car I must say they were truly fantastic. The sales consultant I had was Ryan. He was professional and helped both my wife and myself completely. Ryan was extremely polite, courteous and totally professional. When we finished making the deal we were introduced to another fantastic person named Chris. Chris is a manager and sat down with us and made me feel as if I was part of the Hyundai family. He went over ever piece of paper and like Ryan made sure we were happy with the price. Today May 9, 2017 I went to pick up the car and as promised Ryan was outside waiting for me. He asked if I wanted anything to drink or eat and I totally appreciated his offer. He asked me to sit down since there were important documents that I had to sign. While Ryan was busy getting the car washed and read for me the person that has to do with signing everything came over. I forgot his name but again total professional. When it was time for Ryan to hand over the keys to me he explained everything about the vehicle. He made sure that I would not leave Atlantic Hyundai until I was shown and understood everything. The reason I went to this dealership then the one a mile away from were I live, I think this company goes way above the call of duty. They call you up and make sure everything is okay. This Hyundai dealership is 27 miles away from my house. It was totally worth the drive. I will be back in three years to lease another car from Atlantic Hyundai. The worst dealer ever!! I would give it zero stars, if we could. We went there for a free car inspection and an oil change and ended up with a timing belt change, brakes replaced,belts replaced, service plan and plus some!! To top it off, we got charged for the inspection and they did not change the oil. The lying crooks and thieves tricked my very young son into all of these repairs. The car only had 57000 miles on it which is way to early for a timing belt and the brake pads had over 60% left. They also changed the rotors instead of cutting them!! My wife name was on the list as owner, so they should have contacted her before any repairs. We are in the process of suing them and has contact the state and other agencies!! Nothing in that letter was legit. Salesperson was OK to deal with. The manager making the deal was nasty (I believe his name was Tom), A nasty person overall. Looking down on us bc we were two young girls ..not knowing how experienced we are with leasing cars. Nasty attitude. Would hate to have an employee like him driving all customers away. OMG save your time and energy and shop elsewhere!!! We saw the ad for a used minivan which was at about our price range, and when we called they confirmed it was in stock. The sales guy seemed nice enough so we went. When we got there and saw the van, it was a bit rough but we willing to test drive it and see, except the car would not start when we turned the key. Eventually they started the van (the van had NO GAS in it, they put gas in). It drive like it needed shocks, and in addition the rear locks and key fob did not work. We tried to negotiate and say we would pay cash if the issues were fixed, but the salesmen said we would have to finance to get the price advertised online AND the used car manager said NO WAY when we told him what we could afford (which was consistent with Blue Book Value). They insisted we finance and that the final price of the van would be $2k more than the ad price due to detail work, title and tax. RIDICULOUS! We "need to finance" when we have cash??? REALLY??? They are scammers and I will definitely take my cash elsewhere, and I suggest you do the same! I appreciate the sales guy who patiently listened to us and explained all and gave us a CARFAX, but he felt compelled to "do his job" and push the financing. NOPE! read more

I would've given this place more stars for getting a good deal on my Hyundai Sonata but they don't take care of their customers when they screw up. I went to get some minor repairs done at the service center, which they are notorious for taking forever. They stripped 2 of my lug nuts and told me "they don't have time to replace them". How do you not have time to put them on?! Anyway I went and paid out of pocket to get it done on my own, and got in touch with Atlantic to reimburse me. Not only did they give me the run around for months, but they never ended up reimbursing me unless I bought a new car from them. No way in Hell would I refer anyone to a place that pulls that kind of crap. read more

Our 7hr sales nightmare. Wow, Don't even know where to start. Made an appt for Jan 15th at 1:15pm for my daughter because she wanted to trade her 2013 Accent for a 2013 Tucson. Alexis of Atlantic Hyundai in Bayshore Told me the day before over the phone to ask for Mitch and tell him that I got a letter from Josiah and to see him. Turns out none of them were there. (Why would she tell me to see these people then when they weren't even there?) So we saw salesman Ali (Who was Excellent for the most part) After going back and forth with the manager Ali finally came back with some numbers that my daughter could barely afford. (Though a little frustrating) Now to the finance manager Jeffrey Seals. (Rude, & wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise) He tells us a payment higher than what was agreed (huh) and practically forced us to take out Gap Insurance and stating all the cons if we didn't...making the payment even higher. That just tells me the vehicle was overpriced to begin with. (He did throw in free oil changes but even though, knowing my daughter couldn't afford the higher payment we still agreed since she really liked the vehicle). If that isn't sales pressure I don't know what is. After that we waited an eternity for the preparing of the vehicle. When finally done and about to leave we noticed the low tire pressure warning light on. They tell me they couldn't do anything since the service dept was closed now and to bring it back tomorrow. Don't they check that when they're preparing the vehicle?? A full tank of gas would have been nice also instead of a 1/4 tank like any other dealership would have supplied before taking delivery. So we had to go straight to a gas station to fill up the tires also which were ALL very low. Long story short we were at the dealership for over 7hrs & the vehicle wasn't even properly prepared. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! By this time we were starving and dying to get a bite to eat. Service may be a different story. Time will tell. I'm already nervous about the 1st oil change when it comes due. Crossing our fingers. Sorry but had to let you know of our experience at Atlantic Hyundai. Safe to say we will NEVER buy another vehicle from Atlantic Hyundai again. Inflated prices. Inflated interest rates. Inflated egos. The only thing that wasn't inflated were the TIRES! UPDATE! Called multiple times today 1/21/2017 to talk to the Head Honcho Josiah of AtlanticHyundai to question the installment contract figures but I guess he's untouchable also. i personally would not get any type of car except for a hyundai! i neglected a recall for 4 years on my 2004 hyundai sonata. at 10years old and over 100,000 the bottom of my car collasped and axel broke. hyundai replaced everythin for free even though the negligence was my fault. their warrenty policies are great!! in june i had purchased a used 2010 hyundai accent. Russell was my sales man and i thought he was great. he was very helpful, informative and knowledgable. Richard in the service department was extremely helpful as well. a small issue had happen durin my oil change and car wash. richard made sure everything was fixed and settled with no questions asked free of charge. i do recommend this dealship, many people i know have purchased cars here and have no complaints read more

I bought a 2005 Acura TSX from them 2 1/2 years ago. I kept askikng for the car fax and they gave me every excuse in the book, the computors down Bla bla bla. I had just secured a great job in NYC and had to get a smaller car, Gas was killing me. MY CREDIT WAS BAD DUE TO A DIVORCE. I rushed into it (Big mistake) so far i have replaced the Motor, tranny and all breaks. $ 10,000 WITH RENTALS. Turns out the car was a fleet car for a company in New Jersy and was in a major accident. I went back and they pretty much told me to go..........myself! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! If you are not savvy when it comes to buying a car, don't go there . I feel bad for anyone's grandma who has went there and been taken advantage of. They will rob you blind. The sales rep refused to tell us the total cost of a car and only would give us the monthly cost. The monthly cost he told us was 360 a month after trade in (2000) and down payment (2000). We did the math and that's nearly $22000 dollars after 60 months. So, this sales rep pretty much tried to sell us a 2015 sonata for $26,000. Btw, he kept saying it was interest , AFTER I told him I have PERFECT CREDIT!! My husband and I literally laughed in his face. My husband kept asking him what the total cost of the car was and he refused to answer him. He knew exactly what he was doing. His used car manager was in on it too. He came over to try to "make the situation better" but was super condescending. I believe this name is Jose. Then the next day a guy named Michael called me, SUPER RUDE. He couldn't care less when I explained how sneaky the rep was. He called me telling me he can get me the car for 309 a month, after trade and down payment. Uhhh STILL WAY TOO MUCH MONEY GUY! I purchased a 2016 Santa Fe which was slightly used as a dealership loaner car for my daughter to take away to college. While she was away, she said that the windshield wipers were not spraying the fluid although the wipers were working. We brought the car in for service and found out that the wiper hose had RODENT DAMAGE. The engine liner was also chewed up. Service said that I needed to speak with the salesperson Sandra Redman to see if the dealership would pay to repair/replace the RODENT damaged parts. She returned my call once and said she was confused and would call me back. She did NOT call me back and neither has the SALES management who said that they knew nothing of this issue. The salesperson lacks integrity and you ALL should be ashamed of selling RODENT damaged cars. Disgracefule BE WARY IF YOU PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE. About five months ago the nagging phone calls regarding the nearing of my lease end started. Each time Lou Cohen called and spoke with me. I made it very clear that I intended to buy out my lease during each of those three calls despite his attempt to sway my decision. Finally, about three weeks ago he makes an appointment with me for Saturday 8/18 at 11 am to do the lease end buyout. I arrive to find out that Lou is not there and is just basically the contact man who bullshits you into coming into the dealership only to get passed off to another salesperson. I made it crystal clear that I was there to buyout my lease. After assigning me a sales guy, I was then sent to the Finance Manager who upon learning that I will not be financing with them quickly gives me a figure roughly $1800 higher than Hyundai Financing told me was my buyout with sales tax. He explains that theres a $995 fee plus title and doc fees if I do it there at the very dealership I originated the lease with. But Not if I just call Hyundai Financing and do it directly with them. So thanks Lou Cohen for wasting my valuble Saturday. This was not my first car with you guys but It will be the last and every person I know thru every social media account I have will know to NEVER waste their time or money with Atlantic Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota etc! absolutely terrible service department. Beware, they will try to upswell you and charge you for as many extras as possible. My vehicle had a major mechanical failure that was covered under warranty. Service advisor Jonathan tried to claim parts were damaged, mis-represented to the warranty inspector in an effort to collect additional revenue from us. Jonathan also added charges for a battery we did not need. He also denied a loaner vehicle for 4 days because he did not start the warranty claim. I only got the repairs initiated by directly contacting the warranty company. This dealership obviously makes revenue by using un-ethical sales practices. Atlantic Hyundai is the worst dealer out there. My credit scores are around 600-610, so I was very happy when I was at the dealership for 4 hours finalizing my Lease for a 2012 Sonata for $330 a month with $2500 down using my trade-in. They told me everything was approved and that I would be able to go home with the car. After waiting 4 hours, they told me that the car will be ready the next day. I spoke to my sales guy 5 times during the day and everytime he told me everything was approved, even left me a message saying everything is approved. When I arrived at the dealership to sit with the finance manager (Bryan Harris) he told me that the lease was not approved (jaw drops) and that the financing of the car was approved for a WHOPPING $479 a month. When I said this is outrageous and why wasn't I told this the 5 times I spoke to my (Russell Ratuszny) sales guy, they had no answer. When I said I can't do this deal and would like my $500 deposit back, the sales manager (Bryan Harris) became very rude and even threatened me saying "What if I don't give you your money back" and that it could take a few hours for the refund. When I said fine, I will call my credit card company and dispute the charges and while I was on the phone, they finally processed my refund and still tried to get me to make a deal. When I complained to the Sales Manager (Christopher Mooney) all he did was talk to the sales guy and never bothered to talk to me at all. Beware of this dealership, they will say and do anything initially and then try to force a deal on you that make no sense at all. read more

I made an appointment through the website and got exactly the time I was looking for. Rich was assigned as my service valet (I had a choice, but had no preference). He explained to me the process and actually let me know that the 30K service would be LESS EXPENSIVE since my SANTA FE did not have the type of transmission that required the services offered. They took care of my NY State inspection, a factory recall and a minor concern with remote start and I got a call in less than 2 hours that my car was ready to be picked up! I've had problems with the service dept here in the past (long waits, misinformation, etc). But my 60,000 maintenance was due so I headed back to the dealer. I worked with John Chandler, who was awesome! He recommended some additional services but called out ones that he didn't think were really worth it. I had a service coupon from an email and he helped me realize there was an even better one from a different email. I decided to have my car detailed since it was really scratched up over the past 5 years. When I came to pick it up I didn't even recognize it! It looks awesome! read more

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY! They are liars and thieves. I realized after I made my purchase that I was ripped off on the price. The saleswoman, Ana flat out lied to me about service and features that were included with my purchase. The biggest one being that all my services recommended in the first year of purchase were absolutely included and I would not have to pay. When I brought my car in for a 7500 mile service- I was told it would cost me close to $300 - the guy at the service desk said he ha no idea why she would've told me it was included becausly that is simply not true! My insurance was almost cancelled because of this salesperson as well. At the time of purchase she assured me she would fax the window sticker over to the ins. Co. After a few weeks I got a letter saying they never received it. I emailed Ana and she said she would resend it. A few more weeks went by and I got another letter from insurance. It said they still hadn't gotten it and my insurance was going to be cancelled. I called up the ins co. And explained to them my situation. These offered to call the dealership himself and request the sticker info. When he called, Ana told him it wasn't her problem and its not part of her job and hung up on him! I had to go and get a photo inspection on my brand new car to keep my insurance. These are just 2 aggrivating instances one encountered in the last 5 months of owning this car. I have been a loyal Hyundai customer since 2000. I am currently leasing my vehicle and my lease is up in October. I was experiencing allignment problems for a long time with my vehicle and when i brought it to service they found nothing wrong with it. As time went on it got progressivly worse, I took it to my mechanic for my oil change and asked him to check it. I was told it was the rear shock and that I need to take it to the dealership, which I did. It was the shock and that was covered, but I was also told the front left control arm was bent which wore out my tire and that would not be covered, my car was undrivable, that it would cost $2000.00 to be replaced, and that I should contact my insurance company to cover it. I told the service manager to fix the shock and I would take it to my mechanic. My mechanic was going to charge me a third of the price, plus what ever the cost of the tires. When I picked the car up from Hyundai, it drove perfectly, the best its ever riden, but Im going ahead and having the repair because I trust that it needed to be done "this car is undrivable" I was told. Okay , the high cost of the dealership is not my complaint, those guys do great work, and I understand that it always cost more to have it done at the dealership. Here's my problem. My mechanic checked the control arm and it was not bent. The tire was all I needed to replace, which should of been covered because that was caused by the bad shock which was causing the misallignment. Listen I was just happy that it wasnt costing me two grand, or even $700.00 (what my mechanic was going to charge me). If I was some kind of idiot i would of followed the advice of the service manager and gone through my insurance, for a nonexistant and costly repair. That is considered insurance fraud and I am disgusted. I cant say I've been 100% happy with the service dept. in the past, but I NEVER thought something like this would gone on in such a reputable place. I contacted the dealership through their website and never got a response. I contacted corporate but of course they won't admit any wrong doing, my advice to anyone being told they have a costly repair that's not covered under warranty, take your car somewhere else!!!!! read more
