Absolutely horrible place to live. never answers the phone and when they do theyre always rude. takes weeks to fix an issue and they never do it right. we got out and they we supposed to come at 1030 for the final check but came at 930 and wondered why we weren't finished then CHARGED us for having to sweep and finish cleaning. So my husband ranked up and we moved into grants landing for about two miserable months. This company has caused so much stress on my family from all the problems from it's house, ant infestion in the wall that orkin can't properly treat, mold, mutiple roof leaks, my ac is permanently broken because of faulty duct work, dry rotting window they won't replace, etc. When asked to be moved into another house they wouldn't reimbursement my family even though we just paid to move into this crappy house two months ago. The amount of stress you put on us and then the pure lack of empathy for our situation because of their house was seriously cruel. We had a great experience with AMCC. Dawn was kind enough to make sure we quickly moved into a home and was available for any questions we had. The house we moved into was clean and in great condition but Dawn still made sure the little details we didn't notice were addressed to make the house not great but perfect. Anytime we put in a request for maintenance, we had someone come out in a timely manor. The maintenance team was always kind and respectful. In fact, we had to have our refrigerator replaced and when the maintenance man was taking our old fridge, some liquid leaked onto the floor so I grabbed a rag and before I could start cleaning it, he smiled and said he'd be mopping up the mess. I was surprised because I didn't think it was a big deal but I appreciated him going the extra mile to make sure everything was cleaned up before he left. When I see negative reviews for AMCC I am always so confused and sad because it's so far from our experience. We were very sad to leave CL because we loved our home and the community AMCC created. I definitely recommend moving to Watkins Village/Grove if you're looking for a beautiful, on-base housing community with a helpful and kind housing office. read more

Im not one to leave bad reviews or any review at all but this office is so unprofessional. The first time we walked in they assigned us a house and everything seemed great. Then we figured out they assigned us another house with a way later move in date. No one contacted us on why so we contacted them. They gave us no explanation but a "sorry". Seems like they may of accidentally assigned two families to it and just picked one and went with it. A little upsetting, but things happen we understood. Throughout a month and a half they moved our new houses move in date a total of six or seven times, honestly I lost count. No one told us why really just a "sorry, hopefully next time". To make things worse they'd contact us the day we were supposed to move in literally 10 minutes before we had to check out of our hotel and we didn't even get a "not today sorry" but were always hit with "we will know more in an hour". so we were left waiting for a call that never came. they wouldn't answer our calls (unless we called from a number they didn't know) and as soon as they actually answered were told it wasn't happening. It's really not that hard to give someone a call mind you we were usually sitting in a parking lot with our two year old son for around 5 hours about 2 times a week just praying someone would answer us so we would know what to do, but no one ever did unless we called them again from a number they didn't know. We finally got in our house, after a month and a half of staying in a hotel with a two year old. It was disgusting. My sons feet were completely black after 3 minutes in the house, dried paint splatters on the floor, the oven had food all on the inside of it and the shower drains were so clogged absolutely no water would go down. I can clean that it's not a big deal but you'd think after that many move in dates it would at least be a little clean. I know many places are understaffed right now due to Covid but I have never experienced anything quite as horrible as i did here. Go anywhere else, please save your time, money, mental stability. The Corps need to find someone else to run their housing because honestly, any other place would be better at maintaining a professional work environment. read more

AMCC is by far the worst base housing. The homes smell like mold and the roofs leak when it rains. If you're PCSing to Cherry Point just do yourselves a favor and look outside of base housing. The homes have asbestos and lead. I can go on and on and management can care two shits. I will be looking into putting in a formal complaint with my congressman because it is ridiculous how they put military families through this crap. Living on base can be convenient for a number of reasons however AMCC has made living on base unbearable. We have had several issues with our house and although they send someone out immediately, they "inspect" the issue and do nothing to resolve the problem. AMCC does nothing to accommodate the residents. It's evident that all they do is take your money and talk down to you when there's an issue. They promise things they never deliver. At the end of the day, AMCC is the worst, most blatant case of entitlement I have ever seen in 17 years in the military. Finally: Cherry Point housing is atrocious. You have junior Marines living in brand new houses and 25 year SNCO's living in old, run down housing that you have to sign a release for stating you have been informed that there may be lead paint and asbestos in your home. Military Retirees and Civil Service beware. These people will promise you a safe place to live as long as you want, then evict you as soon as they need your house. My wife a military retiree requires in home care due to a TBI so due to Naval hospitals proximity and ease of maintainence (Im also a disabled Vet) for me as her caregiver we sold our home and moved on base. we were told we'd never have to move and could spend rest of our lives there. My eldery parents also a retired military family did the same. All was fine for 3 years.After Hurricane florence our house suffered Zero damage however we were evicted as were my parents and given 25 days to vacate and find a home in an area where there were no homes, as the area was devastated by the storm. We were being moved to make room for Active duty families who wanted to move in while there personal homes were repaired. Also many homes were poorly maintained prior to storm so that exacerbated the issue and AMCC scrambled to cover up their negligence. If not for charity we would have been homeless. They did this to over 120 FAMILIES, and were never held accountable because Lejeune is a federal installation, and they cannot be taken to court in the municipality outside the base, The military would do nothing, said it was AMCC, AMCC passed the buck back to military and a great disservice was done to many elderly or handicapped Vets, and Teachers , DoD Firefighters, DoD Police Officers, and Commisary/PX workers. Retirees and DOD Civilians , Stay away from this company. Active duty should boycott them on principle, you wont be AD forever. read more

We PCS'd from Lejeune on the 22nd of December 2014; we lived at 5319 Michigan Avenue. We met with an AMCC employee at our home with the list for pre-inspection that needed to be done at the house. With our walls being painted we knew we had to cover them up and the lady who did our pre-inspection stated 3 times in front of us that we just needed one coat of primer on the walls. We both were there and we both heard her say "one coat of primer". After that we moved on to the kitchen where she said just a wipe down and walked to the rest of the home and said simple cleaning. Said we should not clean our carpets and if the stains that were there did not come up it would be about $10 for spot treatment. My husband walked her to the back porch where he asked about white stains on the concrete that were caused by a white paint maintenance had put on the roof to prevent leaks and she said that was okay. Walking out the front door her and my husband spoke about our flower bed and that it was fine. No significant weeds and did not have to remove the mulch. We deep cleaned the house, we primed our walls at least 2-3 times (remember the lady at the pre-inspection said once). Cleaned the carpets and bought and laid out pine needles so that house was as close to move in ready for the next tenants. Guess what we were charged $244 because were did not completely prime the walls to make the wall color we used non visible. After explaining to the lady about what we were told she would call who ever did the final inspection and have them call my husband. Angela's assistant called my husband back and she said the pre-inspection lady had informed us to make sure the walls were fully primed with no color visible. SHE LIED. She lied to Angela's assistant and in turn they chose to believe her and not two witnesses that heard her say at least three time ONE COAT. My husband told her that he wanted Angela to call him. Almost three weeks later she calls and leaves a message. Why would we muck up priming the walls but go above and beyond with the cleanliness of the house, carpet and flower bed mulch. Off course they want to take her lying word for it so they do not have to take the money out of AMCC to cover the painters. They will simply screw over a Marine Corps family and steal our money. We have been passing the word to all our friends headed to Lejeune to avoid getting base housing with AMCC and to look into Lincoln or staying out in town and us as a family will do everything possible to detour others from doing business with AMCC. If someone posts on an advice site that they are thinking about moving off base I will go on there and completely encourage them to find a place out in town. I will also tell them what they need to do when the pre-inspection lady comes out. A company that makes millions of dollars and without a blink of an eye steals $244 from a Marine Corps family. read more
