The item they delivered, however, was too deep and did not fit the space, actually blocking one of the entrances to our unit. We also had told them that the doors had to be reversed to open on the right, but that was not how it was delivered. When advising them of the problems, Hudson asked if we had checked the dimensions of the unit they recommended; to which I replied, "Did you check the dimensions we gave YOU?" No reply. When I asked why the installers didn't call Hudson to alert them that the refrigerator was blocking the door, I was told that they "just deliver and set up." When we told them that the doors were not reversed as we had asked, they told us that they could not be reversed; despite their telling us originally that they could. Despite this being clearly their fault, when we asked them to take it back, Hudson said that we would be responsible for a 30% restocking fee. We had considered going to Small Claims Court to resolve this, and we are confident that we would have won; however, we decided that it was not worth our time to save $250. They eventually took back the refrigerator and charged the 30% restocking fee. Having spent 30 years in senior management for large and small retail companies, I can say with conviction that this was extremely poor customer service and one of the worst experiences I have ever had as a consumer. I do not like leaving negative reviews, particularly for small box stores, but given their indifference to us, I feel compelled to call out Hudson Appliance for this terrible experience.

He quickly assessed that the drain pump was not functioning correctly. He gave me a honest quote, and he asked if I wanted to make the repair. After discussing with my wife, we agreed to get the washer repaired. He had the part with him and got to work to replace the part. In addition to making the repair well, he spent time to check that the washer worked after replacing the part and that it did not leak before closing the washer up. He then moved back the washer in place even though I am the one who moved the washer in the first place. He gave me a 1-year warranty on the repair as he used a genuine LG part. I just used McPhail Appliance Service to repair my washing machine, and the experience was…read moreexcellent. My machine wasn't agitating or spinning. The repair guy quickly diagnosed the problem - a broken coupling between the motor and the transmission. He also pointed out the water hoses were in bad shape (bulging) and needed to be replaced. He fixed the coupling and replaced the hoses, and the total bill worked out to just under $136, and was done in little less than hour. He left everything neat and tidy when he was done. The best part of the whole deal was that he showed up EARLY. Traffic had been really bad the day before, and so he allowed extra time and arrived early. He politely asked if it was too early, but I was delighted to get the whole process started early and then done early. YAY for a repairman who cares about showing up on time! The first set of drawers were too big, and now they are saying that since the fridge was discontinued, it is harder to get parts (news to me that it was discontinued). There was a lack of communication, and from my view, a lack of wanting to make things right. Finally got the drawers today, and one is cracked. We had to fix it ourselves.
