We noticed a leak on our ceiling over the weekend and figured out it was coming from the toilet above. Rob responded to my inquiry the same day and was able to come the next business day (Monday). He was very friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem. The wax seal caused the leaking and Rob put a new one in. He was in and out of our house in less than an hour. He also noticed our tiles/flooring was uneven and told us an issue about our flange, which may cause problems down the road. We started with Rob having him install 3 toilets. From beginning to end the project went smoothly. Rob returns calls, is good about communicating when the job will be done and gave us good advice on what toilets to buy. As far as the actual work it was flawless and when he was done you couldn't tell that a plumber had been in the house. This went so well we contracted with Rob to replace a 20 year old oil fired heating and hot water system with an updated propane fired high-efficiency system. After the initial contract we added installing heating baseboards in a 4th zone on our sun porch. Again, from beginning to end everything went smoothly. All commitments and deadlines were met. He promptly provided the paper work I need to get the Mass Save rebate. Again, when the job was done you couldn't tell that a plumber was in the house, and that includes the removal of the old system. We originally were referred to Rob by a friend who is a plumber. Our friend was too busy to help us out. Rob worked his magic so we could sell our house in the best possible shape. He then replaced the heating system in our new home, including making it more energy efficient with the installation of a solar panel for our hot water. Rob installed our air conditioning system taking great care so as not to disturb the intricate art on the ceiling. He really thinks outside the box to be able to do what you have in mind and to educate you on how to make your home more energy/resource efficient. on 2/2/2015 my wife and I were shoveling out from the second storm of the week with temperatures to be in the negatives the next morning. I woke up at 3:30 am freezing only to find my furnace not working and started making phone calls immediately. I called four company's that had ads stating a 24/7 service. none of them returned my calls. I sent a message through yelp at 4:30 am to Rob at R. S. Newcomb and he got back to me before 7:00 am and sent Dana out and he arrived at my home around 9:00 am. Dana started working on my furnace immediately and together we came to the determination that my 15 year old furnace needed to be replaced. Dana went to price a new furnace and called me with a quote. we both agreed on a price and with the expectation of installing it the following morning.
