I will not be going back to the store to buy anything ever again because one of the employees had to inform my fiancé to put her mask on when she has asthma and they called security because the employee doesn't understand how their grandma with supposed asthma and an O2 tank can wear a mask but my fiancé cannot for even a few seconds for an inhaler... you cannot choose the place or time for an asthma attack and you have to takeoff your mask to use your Inhaler and keep it off for a few anyone else with an inhaler would know this information. I would give one star if the store was The issue and not the employee.

I don't have a lot of vinyls but I would definitely buy some from Steve's if I needed them since the pricing seems fair. They also have great wall banners for sale and plenty of CD's. If you're looking for something specific just ask Steve for help because this store is jam packed full of music. Steve was super friendly and informed me if there was something I specifically wanted he could get it for me. I didn't find anything I wanted on this visit; however, the last two times I was here I purchased a few CDs from his clearance shelf for $1 each without a scratch on them, not bad at all. If you are looking for a new, used, or unique vinyl or just want to burn some time checking out a great record store while shopping in DeLand, then I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.

Employees recommendations on the shelves call out individual titles. Lots of tables display trade paperbacks and hardcovers devoted to a particular theme or sale. One labeled "Five Star Fiction" presented well-reviewed new releases. If you order from the cafe look for a book near the register that's on sale for $5 with a purchase. I usually prefer used bookstores to new ones but this palatial Barnes & Noble is worth the stop. It's at the same I-95 exit as Buc-ee's.

When I walk in, I feel like I did when I was teenager in high school as I use to frequent a vinyl store similar to this one in Miami Beach. It's really just everything about it, the music, the dry humor in a lot of the items they sell, all of it. I'm a huge Bowie fan and they have his pretty face plastered on so many things. It always makes me smile when I see all the merchandise too. They do fun mystery bags. They have one for CD's, stickers, and DVDs. I have no idea what kind of DVD or CD's they'd include so I went ahead and bought one for stickers and was very pleasantly surprised at the variety and already added some of them to my computer and water thermos. We were on our way to a concert and I had about 30 minutes to look for a few music books, which I found with the staff's help. It's good to know this store has a variety of music books to choose from and for the most part they are organized well, except the ones on the floor. You just have to dig a little. I chose two Faber level III piano books and a Bastien level III piano technique book. The Bastien book was only $2 but it has a lot of notes from previous students. The two Faber books were $6 each and virtually untouched, excellent! Some of the books are on the pricey side, especially some of these old music books, they are asking $20 when the covers are missing and music score is illegible. I just don't see myself spending that much when I can put that $20 towards a brand new book series or Henle Album of exceptional quality. Regardless, I want to support local, and have been very happy with my purchase. I will return again to see what I missed on my previous visit. If you love book stores, this is a good one and definitely worth the stop.

Stopped in here after a disappointing visit to another record store in the area…read more We were only there for a short time but a couple of observations led to my 4 star review. 1) the staff was going through a large amount of records right near the front door. I'm not saying that's a negative, it's actually quite a positive. Even through the 3 of them were going through a big collection, they still stopped to help us. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of how I personally shop for records. I'm not what you'd call a crate digger. If you are, then you'll love this place. I know there are many, many crate diggers out there. Just wanted to mention it not being my style in case anyone else wanted to know what to expect. We picked up a couple of records while we were there, so it was a good visit. It helped make up for the other place in town that we stopped first.
