My best friend treated me to spa day as a belated birthday gift. We weren't able to coordinate our schedules and the spa's availability. It was such a nice treat to be here since I hadn't been here to Spa Toscana since before Covid with a group of my friends from work. We checked in and I was called back by Karla almost immediately for my 50 minute signature massage. Karla was very friendly, kept my robe warm while she worked her magic on my knots. I felt like melted butter when I retired to the tranquility room. I was surprised to see how busy it was for a Monday afternoon, but happy to see they steadily busy. We took advantage of the steam room, snacks, tea and a few amenities before calling it a day and returning to our families. Thank you Karla and to my bestie for such a sweet birthday gift. Lovely weekday August spa with friends. Had an incredible massage from Tamara and then got to decompress in the relaxation room. The last time I visited was in 2024, so I'm not sure how new the chairs are but they definitely have new gravity chairs in the relaxation room. At first glance I was disappointed to see the previous deep egg-shaped chairs gone (I liked the privacy they provided from their depth), but within 5 minutes of laying in the new chairs I was already trying to maximize the amount of time I would let myself lay there! The massage features of these chairs are amazing and unlike any of the pokey/stabby massage chairs you might normally think of. The staff were lovely and the food and drinks were delightful. I will say, be careful about any receipts you sign during your visit for food and drink, they apply an auto-gratuity (which is fine), but still leave a large empty tip line, so it's easy to double-tip if you don't notice. They will ask again when you check out of the spa if you would like to leave an additional tip, so you may even triple-tip on accident. The overall spa was ok. This is my experience in the male area and around 11am. Some concerning things were the grime residue in the men's hot tub was so thick on the tiles. There were a bunch of guys in the wet clothing optional area on their cell phones. Just being nude and people having their phones out is just uncomfortable. As is to be expected of almost any hotel spa, the services offered at Spa Toscana are quite pricey -- certainly pricier than at a non-hotel spa. That said, they also offer a day pass for $85 which provides access to the pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, steam room, salt room, relaxation room, and the various available amenities. Note that the day pass can only be used Tuesday-Thursday, but I do think it's worth it. They also serve food/drink which is a nice touch but I do think the offerings leave something to be desired. read more

I love Jackie! What an amazing healer. I really had a stressful week, needed some self care and Jackie did not disappoint. I scheduled a deep tissue massage (last minute, I'm sorry to the spa), but my therapist was Jackie. I'm not kidding when I tell you it was the best massage of my life. It is my birthday month, hence we've been here many times this February, and I am revisiting Jackie. I literally told her I loved her after my massage. Lol Moving forward, I called a few days ago to schedule (not trying to last minute this one) and I asked for Jackie and my same treatment. My mom and I love Spa Toscana and do a little mother daughter day for Christmas every year. We have tried Atlantis as well but came back to Spa Toscana because it has the best amenities. We love booking our appointments in the afternoon and going in early to spend the whole day in the spa. We usually spend the most time in the women's area as the hot tubs are bigger and typically less crowded there. My mom enjoys the steam room and sauna but my favorite is definitely the cold plunge. I love that it's actually deep so you can hop in and fully submerge yourself. We also really love the salt room to relax in and the relaxation room with antigravity chairs is the best place to nap! We mostly go up to the atrium area for lunch and drinks but don't spend too much time there otherwise. I've gotten a few massages and facials there and I have never had a bad experience! The lounge to wait in to get called is so comfy and love that it has snacks. All my massage therapists have been fantastic. The showers are also pretty nice and the complimentary scrub they give you smells SO GOOD and strong! Love that you can smell it on you the rest of the evening long after you shower. The get ready room is very nice and convenient with huge mirrors and even some smaller mirrors helpful for makeup. I always bring my own hot tools as I feel a bit weird about sharing with everyone but they do have dryers, curling irons, straighteners available. Staff is always friendly there as well and I like that they accept Spa Finder gift cards as you can get a pretty decent deal on them around Thanksgiving. Was fortunate enough to be gifted a facial by my friend's husband who wanted to give his wife and I a girl's day out together. We arrived early so we could spend some time at the indoor pool area and order some food and drinks before our treatments. I had the lemon drop lavender martini and it literally was one of the best martinis I've ever had!!! I will say though, it was very strong so I didn't choose to have a second but I absolutely look forward to going back next time so I can enjoy another along with the excellent sashimi plate. We also ordered a sushi roll, but it takes a little bit to get to you so our time was limited and we had to rush up to our appointment. Both of us had relaxing facials with lovely aestheticians so would definitely recommend and once it was done, you better believe we used up every last bit of time sitting in all the wonderful amenities! The salt room was quiet but not really up to par with other salt room experiences I've had previously. The sauna and the steam room were awesome and where I spent the majority of my time in. Overall, it's a nice spa and would go back to enjoy a different treatment option just try out all that they have to offer. Plus it's a nice escape from the day to day, especially with a friend to share the experience with. Now, with that all said, I do also need to mention the only major issue/hesitation that I had. I was a bit taken aback when it came to using the tiny soaking tubs near the indoor pool because not only are they too tiny, they also appeared to have stuff floating in it once the jets stopped. Not wanting to jump to conclusions as to what the particles were, it was definitely enough to see it rather readily, so no matter what it actually was-- it absolutely was enough for me to stay out of the water in any pool/spa there. read more

Celebrated my birthday here with a group of girlfriends and we had a great time. I have to say that everyone was wonderful- top notch service. Shout out to Blake who was great with food and drink service, and my masseuse and nail tech were both friendly and professional. Wonderful amenities, snacks, and drinks and the food we ordered was all delish. The steak sandwich was especially delicious (sorry didn't get a photo). We also loved all the little mini deserts! Really fun to try all the different flavors. It is of course really pricey but to be expected at a spa. But if you're a local you get 20% off! I am pumping and they were accommodating and put the milk in the fridge for me. I do wish they had a private room with a plug for pumping but they only had private dressing rooms without plugs so I had to pump in the common area. We came here for basically the day. Our massages were later in the evening, but wanted to enjoy the spa as a whole. We spent some time up at the pool area and relaxation room. We were able to order some food and drinks. After we headed to the Himalayan salt room for a bit before heading to the locker room area to enjoy the hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room. Everything was super relaxing and enjoyable. There were snacks, water and tea on every floor along with towels and seating. The seating loungers in the locker room are heated which was a nice bonus. Plenty of shower areas that has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The ladies locker room also had multiple vanity station areas that had hair dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. They also provided plenty of toiletries. Lockers were available (and assigned) with locking key pad with each locker including a robe, mini chocolate and mint. They provide with slippers as well. Customer service has gone down. A few days ago, my wife and I arrived at Spa Toscana around 4:55pm for my wife's pedicure appt at 5:00pm. The overall check in process at the desk was smooth and the girls working at the desk were very nice. Fast forward to my 25 minute massage appt scheduled at 7:30pm. I got the men's waiting area around 7:20pm and my masseuse came and got me around 7:33pm. The massage was good and I was satisfied with the experience. I went back down to the men's locker room area to shower and change because I wanted to wash off the massage oil that was on me and freshen up for dinner with my wife. The shower I was in was completely empty of conditioner and body wash. Maybe the spa attendants fill it once in the morning and call it a day. There was an abundance of clean bath towels though! After my shower I got to my locker around 8:15pm to change into my clothes. About 2 minutes after that I heard a female (maybe the spa manager?) ask a male spa attendant, "Is your guest doing ok?" He stated that I was at my locker. A few minutes after that while I was still changing and getting my things together, the male attendant approached me and stated that the spa will be closing soon. I said, "Ok. " I was definitely feeling rushed and felt like I was getting kicked out in the most polite way. Almost a minute after the male attendant spoke me, I heard the female voice ask again, "Is your guest doing ok?" I was annoyed and couldn't get out fast enough. As I was packing up the last of my things, another male attendant started opening and closing all the lockers, moving in my direction. This particular attendant had no customer service skills whatsoever, as I ran into him multiple times throughout the spa. I get the hint, you're kicking all the guests out so you can close up the spa and go about your evening. Spa Toscana was the one place my wife and I would always look forward to going to every time we would visit Reno. I'm sad to say that after this last overall experience, we will let our friends and family know how we were treated and maybe look for an alternate spa in Reno. And mind you, this is just my experience from the men's locker room. My wife's experience is one for the books also. read more

I usually really enjoy Spa Toscana, but I fear they've lost their spa-like touch anywhere except the 3rd floor where the massage rooms are. It's LOUD here, even in the spaces that say "soft voices please". Example: The staff did nothing to quiet the loud obnoxious guests loudly talking to each other across the women's room jacuzzi even though you could hear them from the women's side reception desk loud and clear. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Spa Toscana. Three-stories of amenities designed to transport you to serenity and relaxation. It's gorgeous inside with its beautiful fountains, water features, and Mediterranean architecture. They offer all sorts of salon (hair/nails/skin/makeup) and spa services (massages, facials, body wraps, exfoliating scrub). The 2nd floor is where my hubby and I checked in. Then, a staff person gave me a tour of each of the floors. I didn't catch her name but she was so soft-spoken that I barely heard what she was saying and wouldn't let me ask questions until she finished. Another person gave my hubby a tour of the men's amenities. The 2nd floor is also where the lockers were and gentlemen/ladies ritual rooms with hot tubs and cold plunge pools, steam rooms, saunas, and showers. Treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room were on the third floor. And, there were separate men and women lounge rooms with snacks and drinks. On the third floor was the Caldarium: where there is an indoor pool, two tiny hot tubs, and a sun deck plus spa cuisine. I had an amazing facial from Danielle. She was friendly and my skin was glowing afterwards. My hubby got a massage - which was decent but he wouldn't want to repeat again with the same massage therapist. I, however, wouldn't hesitate to book future appointments with Danielle. I also took advantage of the hot tub and steam room on the 2nd floor. And, we also enjoyed the salt room. But, the Caldarium was ok... because it was full of people (mostly women) everywhere and it seemed like there were only two waitstaff working. We had to flag down the waitress before she would even stop to acknowledge us after walked past our table twice. It wasn't very relaxing so we left shortly afterwards. Sister and I spent a lovely winter day at the spa. We both tried the hydrafacial - it's like having pucker kisses all over your face! My aesthetician Lydia was wonderful. After we relaxed in the women's silent room (more silent after they take all the ladies to their appointments) and watched the beautiful scenes on the TV with the headphones on. We tried the relaxation room but the huge TV was only playing a few scenes of stars over and over. We enjoyed lunch in the common area which was busy but two lounge chairs were available. What a staycation. We stayed at the Peppermill for the weekend to get away. We had an amazing time. Part of the plan was a couples spa day. We booked the Romantico package. This included almost an hour in a private room with an infrared sauna, a huge bathtub filled with lavender oil, and a huge shower. The room was nice and super relaxing. We had some issues with the tub, but we got it worked out. We then stepped out of there into a couples massage. 80 minutes of pure relaxation. This was absolutely the best most relaxing massage that I have ever had. My wife loved hers as well. At the completion of that, we were whisked to our 80 minute pedicure which included champagne or wine. We had a great time there too. The wife went to a separate not included facial. All in all the services were top notch and amazing. They give a 20% local discount which is a nice bonus. My only complaint is the day use pool area was not awesome. The hot tubs are tiny and crowded. The service was almost nonexistent. I sat at a dirty table for 30 minutes. No one came by or checked on me. I had to walk back into the spa to ask where I could order drinks. I was told to pick up a phone at the tea bar for help. Finally was able to order a $15 draft Modelo. The waited brought it, but did not bother to wipe the table off. I actually had to ask someone to wipe someone else's lunch off the table. We ordered a couple of other cocktails. Over $50 bucks for two mediocre cocktails. I didn't really feel like boiling in a small pot with 8 strangers. So we left. The spa was top notch. Three days at the spa to celebrate a birthday. A great way to celebrate and take care of yourself. Over the course of 3 days I had 2 massages, a facial, pedicure and body scrub. The last time I was here was before covid so I made up for lost time. Therapists work hard to ensure their clients are happy. Thank you to Kelly for the therapeutic massages, Zoie for the facial, Andrea for making my toes pretty and Mariana for the blissful sugar body scrub. I appreciated the care and professionalism of each of you. Each day I was joined by a special guest and we thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. One of my favorite things to do is to relax in the relaxation room. Many fall asleep in there and I hope one day to do the same. I also enjoy the steam, sauna and spa running the locker room. Monday was the busiest day due to a group being in town. I discovered that Tuesday was the quietest day and will keep that in mind when scheduling again. The Caldarium is a good space to meet for lunch. It seems a bit crowded with tables and lounge chairs. Feels like it needs to be expanded and de-cluttered. There wasn't always service and many times it needed tidying. On our first day, there was confusion regarding our appointments, they made it right and gave us a discount. My husband and I had a spa day at the Peppermile. We normally go to the Atlantic, but this time we decided to go to the Spa Toscana. My hostess was great, she showed me all three floor and what was available for me to use. The first floor was the dressing rooms, jet spa, showered, lockers and vanity area - ladies only. My husband had his own area as well. The second floor was where we received our treatments - messages, facial, scrubs, wraps, ect. The third floor was the pool area and spa, along with the zero gravity chair area. This area was super busy and loud. It was not a place where we wanted to hang out. If I did a girls day, maybe. But for a relaxing couples day - No! The beauty salon was also up on the third floor. Each floor had yummy snacks and refreshing drinks - teas, coffee, water, bubbly waters and hot chocolate. The snacks were nuts and a pretzel mix. I booked us a couples message for 80 minutes. Time well spent. My message therapist was amazing, his name was Sean. I get message quite a bit, Sean is amazing! If you get a chances to book a message with him, I would definitely take that chance. My body feels like butter and it's been three day since I received the message. My husband enjoyed his message lady as well. The only thing that I wasn't excited about was their amenities. They have none. The Atlantic spa has way more amenities for people to use and enjoy. And if you spend more than a certain amount, it automatically includes a day pass. My service was at 3pm. I got a seasonal pedicure treatment. It includes a foot scrub that smells great. Along with a beverage of my choice. I received a mocktail it was really good. I'm glad they have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. Even though my service was in the late afternoon, I was allowed to come in as early as I wanted. That way I was able to enjoy the rest of the spa amenities. There are different rooms to try. We did the Himalayan salt room, zero gravity room, and a blue light room. There is a women's only floor and an elevator to get to the co-ed floor. I tried the jacuzzi. There is a pool and sauna available. This spa is located inside of the peppermill but it has a separate entrance. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would recommend this spa. read more

My best friends and I came to the spa during a girls weekend. We each got massages and all of us really enjoyed them. I got an 80 minute massage from charlotte and she was great! She knew which areas to focus on and left me feeling so relaxed afterwards. We then spent a majority of the rest of the day in the hot tub, sauna, steam room and plunge pool. My husband and I drove 3 hours to Spa Toscana to celebrate my birthday with a couples massage -- something we were both genuinely excited about. We booked it ahead of time as a couples experience, yet when we arrived, they had us scheduled in separate rooms. All they had to do was make an effort to fix their mistake and get us in the same room -- but they didn't. They refused to accommodate us in any way. I refused the service because it wasn't what we asked for, but my husband went through with the massage, only to later say it was one of the worst massages he's ever had. And to make matters worse -- they didn't even tell him that I had opted out. He had no idea we weren't getting a couples massage. Just a complete breakdown in communication and care. Nobody tried to make it right. Staff walked by with fake apologies like "Sorry, we couldn't help you." No real empathy. No people skills. No solutions. Just blank stares and cold shoulders from a team that clearly isn't trained to handle anything beyond basic tasks. This was supposed to be a memorable, relaxing birthday -- instead, it turned into a complete letdown and a waste of time and money. If you're planning something special, do not trust this place to deliver. Go somewhere that actually knows how to treat their guests with care and respect. read more

The spa itself is lovely; it's big and has different spa rooms, the sauna, hot tub, and steam room. You can stay there for whole day if you'd like. There is snack and drink each floors. Oh my goodness! We decided on Peppermill spa! I decided on a massage and my girl was fabulous. Her name is Jennifer. We started with the hot tub, then massage, then the Himalayan salt room. Then we came upstairs and had a little bite to eat a glass of wine where the pool is. Then we came back down and did the sauna, hot tub again, steam room and a cold plunge. Came for a visit on June 3rd. I booked months in advance and was disapointed to find that the prices increased since then. Rightfully so, they honored the old price at the time of booking. For a 150 min swedish massage it went from $185 to $200. That is a lot of money but you also get the use of the spa for the entire day. There are a lot of amenities. Private locker room with showers, bathrooms, hot tub, cold dunk, sauna, steam room and vanity area on the gender side. Coed area has pool, himalyan salt room, gravity room, and something else? I usually see Sean W. my absolute favorite because he listens and does exactly what I ask but he was not available that day so I tried another gentleman (I prefer men) and he was okay although he had been there for 24 years. I ask every masseuse to focus on lower back and no one ever seems to listen because of the 150 mins, I would say I got 15 mins was spent on my lower back. I also like the bottoms of my feet and that was hardly touched. I am very vocal in my needs and dislikes so it shouldn't be a mystery. I like this spa because it has a small private pool (heated) with boucany if you want to lay outside. There is food service with a 18% gratuity tacked on. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. It is very quiet and relaxing in there and patrons are respectful of that. For the price, you better stay and relax awhile or its not worth it. My only real complaint is that both the hot tub in womens area and pool steps in coed are to get in the water were super slippery and slimey that I almost fell and bonked my head on the bar, both times!! read more

Was treated to an afternoon at the spa from my boss. I was welcomed and showed around by a kinda lady who took her time showing me the locations. I loved the women's locker room. The hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and steam room were great. The space was clean and organized. I loved having access to juices throughout the day. There weren't a lot of spa rooms - which made me a bit sad as I am used to the Atlantis spa with lots of options. The pool area was nice and I enjoyed the service there as well. The crab nachos were delicious and 20% off for locals was amazing. I received the dry brush Toscana massage from Nick and he was absolutely amazing! I loved the head massage and the dry brushing was phenomenal. read more

My husband scheduled the birthday package for me for a massage and pedicure. The staff were so nice and accommodating! My massage was fantastic and she did a great job at listening to me regarding an injury I have. The girl that did my pedicure was friendly and also pretty funny. She also did an excellent job. The birthday cup cake was delish. All the rooms were so relaxing. The indoor pool was closed at the time due to a remodel but spa guests were able to use the outdoor pool which was great.
