I can't speak to the specifics of shopping as a bride at Atlas, but I was very impressed when I went to help my cousin pick out her wedding down. My cousin showed Erin a few ideas and gave her a few words of what she was looking for and was an absolute magician. We were mostly looking to determine what silhouette would work best for her body type, not expecting to find "the dress" on the first shopping trip. After a few dresses, Erin gave my cousin a dress we wouldn't not have even considered and it was easily the best we could have asked for. Erin was sweet, hilarious, kind, and helpful in every way. This isn't the cheapest place, but then again, when are weddings cheap? They offer different designers than David's bridal like Maggie Sottero, Casablanca, and Alfred Angelo. I loved Maggie Sottero's style and even though it cost more than the dresses at David's bridal, the dress seemed nicer. Also the cost for the Maggie Sottero dresses was comparable to other dress shops that carried the same brand. The store is a lot smaller than David's bridal so you get a more personal shopping experience. I would say that for accessories like tiaras, etc. this place is a little pricier than David's bridal. read more

From my 1st call to the shop when I asked 50+ questions to the moment I said YES to the dress the staff was incredibly helpful! Ashley was so sweet on the phone when I made my appointment and answer any new questions I had conjured up. When we got to the shop for the appointment everything was smooth sailing. Candy was so sweet and kind to me and my group. She listened to everything each person was saying and took those ideas to the racks to find dresses that fit our request. She was honest in her reviews of the dresses and helped me narrow down what it was I liked and didn't like. There were 2 we were debating between and just kept putting it on taking it off putting the other one on and taking it off. Candy was very helpful in giving us new ideas, like adding headpieces or sleeves- until we had exactly what we had all envisioned. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for their dream dress! I actually had not planned on going here but ended up being a walk-in (on a Saturday of all days!) because of a failed appointment earlier in the day. I was helped immediately and the woman I worked with was wonderful. I was very nervous after my last appointment because I'm a larger bride and especially chest heavy. I was not big on letting them pop out. I had a general idea of what I wanted and they were ok. My consultant pulled some, told me she was making me try them on and what do you know? I found my dress. She was helpful in dressing and kind when I was overwhelmed. She worked with my budget too, which was a relief. Overall it was a great experience. What took it down to a 4 star was how packed the racks were. There were lovely dresses there but the way they were packed in made it hard to properly check them out. read more

Atlas Bridal and the staff are incredible! As a bride I looked at multiple gown shops and never had the 'ah-ha' moment and the experiences never felt special enough to me, until I went to Atlas. My consultant, Erin A., did an amazing job finding options that fit my preferences but also branched out a bit. She really helped to find dresses that were flattering to my figure, which was very important to me. I'm a bustier girl and out of all the consultants I've met with before, Erin was the only one who truly took that into consideration. After a few gowns, she became more familiar with my liking and eventually pulled a gown that had everything I wanted. That's when I finally had my 'ah-ha' moment and said Yes to the Dress! We had an appointment and yet the sales ladies did not help us at all. Anytime we asked questions it was like we were bothering them. We picked a few dressed to try on but all the bridesmaids dresses only come in one size per dress so if it's not your size your out of luck. All the dresses were so crammed in the racks it was hard to even take them out. When we walked out of the fitting room the girl who was out consultant just walked the other way so we walked out. They just lost almost $2000 in business because their staff was unpleasant and rude. And I add it was us and one other person in the store at the time so not busy. read more

My bridal consultant was SO helpful and kind, and had lots of ideas and suggestions on how each dress would go with different themes and didn't try to sell me on any dresses I didn't like. My only complaint is that it's hard to see the dresses and the layout of the store isn't great. Other than that, I had a great experience here. The woman I worked with only works once a week and was SO knowledgeable! And friendly! I don't know her name...ahhahhh. I know she's a mom who works just on Saturdays. Ask for her! read more

Think twice before walking into this place without an appointment. My daughter drove 3 hours after contacting this place by telephone to verify that they had 2 (bridesmaid) dresses in stock. After arriving, we were greeted and then my daughter was marched (passed the bridesmaid dresses) to the back of the store and into a closet and where they told her that they did not have either dress in stock. My daughter told the sales clerk that she had called to confirm that the dresses were in stock and was told, "I don't know who you talked to, but we don't have the dresses!" Since we had driven so far, we decided to look at other dresses and gee what did we find? Both of the dresses we were hoping to try on! The sales clerk tried to take them from us, possibly to place in the dressing room, but after the initial greeting, we decided to hang on to them until we were ready. So after all possible dresses were found, we asked to try them on. The sales clerk grabbed the dresses and stated "I tried to take these from you before" and then imformed us that we would have to wait for the "walk-in dressing room" since we did not have an appointment. 10 minutes passed before we were allowed to use a dressing room, even though they had 2 available. Granted, we probably should have had an appointment, but since we had such a long drive (in 4" of snow) we didn't want to schedule a time and then not be able to keep the appointment especially on a busy Saturday. We really wouldn't have minded a wait for a dressing room and didn't expect one-on-one service (since we didn't have an appointment), but didn't expect to be lied to and then treated rudly. Atlas Bridal, if you read this, you might want to instruct your sales clerks to double check your inventory if someone informs them that they had called to confirm that a dress was in stock before coming in. We decided to get one of the dresses you had in stock, but they will be purchased from Wally's Bridal in Howell, MI where we were treated great by wonderful sales people. read more

Buying the dress was a great process, but alterations did not go well. They had to redo things, they lost my sleeves at one point, and the sleeves were too loose when added. Good place to buy a dress, but get your alterations done elsewhere. read more

I found my wedding gown here last November, just got married in it this past weekend. Our consultant that day was extremely friendly and helpful. The shop is a little small and cramped, but my entourage picked out a variety of dresses and the consultant helped as well. We found one that fit me like a glove right off the rack. This shop should have been my first stop. They have dresses in all price ranges and all sizes to try on. The help was phenomenal from the moment we walked in the door. I ordered my bridal dress and my bridesmaids were able to order their dresses too. Don't go to Columbus or Cinci when all you can find what you need in Toledo. Mom even received a planted mum just for coming in. We all got hugs from our sales lady. Best experience ever! read more

First of all I am a plus size bride and was treated as so - no one wanted to wait on me...I had to ask for help and was then told they didn't really have anything that I could try on besides 1 or 2 gowns. I left there in tears. The store is extremely small and the dresses are all crammed together so you can hardly see anything. If you are bride over the size of a 14 I would suggest staying away, they seem to frown on anyone with a full figure. read more

My first time there, there was a complete lack of selection, which I should have taken as a clue. I ended up having to pay for a dress to be shipped in on loan due to the lack of selection at this store. The dress came in my street size and fit at the top (it was a lace overlay) but they recommended ordering two sizes up. When the dress came in the top was huge and despite alteration, the dress never looked the same. I ended up going to David's Bridal two weeks before the wedding and buying an entirely new dress. The staff at Atlas was impossibly insenstive throughout the whole experience and paid no mind that I had shelled over $1800 for a dress that never looked like the one I tried on. Later on, I tried to work with them to recoup some funds on the dress, i.e. I called and asked if they wanted to recoup the dress for a nomimal fee ($200) for their showroom. They declined, defensive as always, claiming they had nothing to do with the problem. It was really a sad, stressful, and unfortunate event. Steer clear of this place. I'd hate for this to happen to anyone. read more

When I first walked into Atlas Bridal, i was extremely hesitant--the show floor looked small and cramped, the dresses were organized by size not style, and my entourage had to sit in the dressing room WITH me (luckily Im not a shy person). HOWEVER, our Bridal consultant, Dee, was incredible--she was so knowledgable and would pick dresses off the rack that fit me right away (no tugging and pulling and 'im sorry we just cant make this work' that gets every bride disgruntled). She helped me figure out what style looked best on me (I came out with a COMPLETELY different shape and fabric than I expected) and I walked out with a dress that was *drumroll please* 550 dollars. Wedding dresses aren't cheap but just tell your bridal consultant you are on a budget, don't immediately judge the layout until you've experienced an appointment, request Dee for your consultant, and you are bound to walk out of this place with a fierce dress :) read more

A friend ordered a bridesmaid dress from here. When it came in, it was in the wrong color. She contacted the store and was told that she needed to speak to the manager. When the manager did call her back, 4 days later, she was very rude and unprofessional. She also refused to do anything about THEIR MISTAKE. Now she is stuck with a dress she cannot wear and has to find another dress ASAP! NEVER AGAIN will anyone I know shop here or will I recommend them to ANYONE! GO ELSEWHERE!!! read more

NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. I live about 35 minutes away from here and I went to go and buy a prom dress. It was a very expensive dress and it didn't fit quite right. They told me they could do alterations on it so that's what I did. They said it would be ready so I came back to get the dress and the alterations were not right at all so I spent about 2 hours waiting for them to fix it and it still wasn't right and everything was too tight! They told me to come back the next day so they could try and fix it again and I did and I put on the dress and it still wasn't right!! This is a horrible establishment. I thought David's bridal was bad, but metaphorically speaking Jeanie the owner takes the cake. The owner is rude and not willing to work with the customer. She never mailed me my receipt since I live in Wisconsin and did not get my dress in in time. I was told 6-8 weeks and then afterward was told more like 4 months. The customer service hands down is the worst and I hope eventually people get tired of being treated poorly and go somewhere else. Maybe when the owner loses enough business she will wake up and remember what running a business is all about; working for the customer.
