John is the most accommodating and caring person you can ever have the pleasure to work with. My mother needed to have new carpet installed in her condo unit with a loft which other businesses said they don't do lofts. Another business I called up the street said they only do a 500 square foot minimum which in a condo unit would not meet that minimum and I thought was rather restrictive of them as many condos are sized similar to my mother's. Unlike the other businesses I contacted, John responded right away and was willing to work with the various constraints we had, including splitting up the project into two phases because there was not enough room in the condo to move the furniture if all rooms were done all at once. He and his two installers also carefully moved and re-arranged my mother's belongings and furniture for us as we do not have anyone else to assist with moving these heavy items and this was included in the total cost of the installation. Any other business would charge extra for furniture moving services. My mother's condo is quite cramped as it is filled with clutter, so I was very anxious about how the project would go, but John and his installers worked carefully around her unit and did not hesitate to assist with moving items to clear their workspace as needed. Upon my initial phone call to John, he offered to come as early as the very next day , which mind you, was the week during the Thanksgiving holiday. The other businesses I contacted had no availability the holiday week and only offered the first or second week of December which would have been more inconvenient for us. John was incredibly accommodating and flexible taking into account what time was most convenient for my mother and arrived to measure each room for dimensions for the carpet. He brought samples directly to my mother to choose from and also invited us to his showroom to look at other selections, which my mother did. The carpet we decided on was already in stock and he set it aside for when we were ready for the install, which he offered as early as that week. On installation day he showed up to make sure everything was off to a great start helping re-arrange the furniture in my mother's cramped condo, so his two installers could promptly start. Within two hours they were done with brand new carpets perfectly measure and installed. I was very impressed with how the installers handled trickier angles as the loft has a little alcove area that was seamlessly carpeted by his installers. John went above and beyond in his customer service and kind, compassionate treatment of my 73 year old mother who is hard of hearing and for whom English is not her first language. We are so pleased with the work of him and his installers that we are having him replace our blinds by our large sliding door and are interested in other upgrades he can provide in the future. We are extremely grateful to John for not only his services in making my mother's condo cleaner and more comfortable, but for his outstanding kindness and character. read more

We shopped around at other stores (in Carson and Torrance) and the quality and price couldn't compare to Atlas. John came to our house that same day to measure and installation happened 2 days later. The installer, Mr. Bravo and his associate, I can't say enough. They worked so hard, left our house at 7 pm. We had some issues where our new carpet wasn't going to be level with our hardwood floor. Mr. Bravo came up with a solution, and it turned out beautifully. John even came out on the day of installation to make sure everything was going ok. I had an excellent experience here yesterday. I was in need of a scrap of vinyl flooring to line the area under my kitchen sink where I recently installed a beautiful new pull-down Delta faucet. I went to about five other flooring places. All said "no" or it's up in their warehouse in Gardena or whatever. I finally got wise and called Atlas ahead and asked John if he had any vinyl remnants. He said yes. 2 stars for having what I need. I asked him when he closed and he said 5:00. Actually having decent hours on a Saturday gets star #3. Many carpet and flooring places are only open until 1:00 on Saturday, by appointment, or not at all. Came down around 3:00, John asked me if I was the one who called and immediately showed me a couple dozen vinyl remnants, all neatly rolled up. Picked out one for $4. In and out in 2 minutes. Just had our carpets replaced by Atlas Discount Carpet. Let me tell you, this place is the best! We tried shopping other local businesses as well as the infamous "Empire Today!" And their prices were through the roof. I worked with an extremely nice gentlemen named John. Very friendly and respectful person. He is quick to meet your needs, and even offers you tea when you come into the place and seem like a serious buyer. He came over to our house to measure the multiple rooms and living areas that needed changing. Our personal measurements were close to his, so you know he's extremely honest and doesn't add a huge amount extra like other places will do to make an extra buck. Anyway, after we discussed sizing requirements and took a look at some of the samples we were really feeling good about things. While negotiating price, John, was very respectful and considerate of our budget. He literally found the best carpet quality for the price we could afford. I did some research on the side to not just check the quality but the cost per sq ft on average. Doing the research on these, I found that not only were they quality name brands, but we really were getting a bargain deal! (about 30-45% less than other places found online) We placed the order on a Saturday, and by Tuesday, the installers, two other extremely friendly gentlemen, came in and expeditiously showed off their extensive experience and expertise taking out the old and putting in the new like it was second nature to them. Quality workers, quality salesman, quality product, AND a bargain price!? You really couldn't ask for more! Stop by or simply call for a free estimate. If you visit the showroom directly first, don't let the smaller than some showrooms fool you; hthey can order anything from anywhere and have a lot of portable/travel sized showcase material. We had our entire house carpeted by John, he was thoroughly professional throughout the process, made sure we were happy with the carpet we picked and suggested we buy a slightly higher quality carpet that came with a 10 year warranty. His installers were AWESOME and were very quick and courteous. We had some creaks in our floor boards and they also fixed them all. John personally supervised the entire installation and got it done ahead of schedule as we were in a time crunch. I had been dealing with the disastrous and totally unprofessional Empire Carpet Company who had bought the wrong carpet to match one room of an existing carpeted apartment and then was unreachable until 2 days later when I had told them I had a new person moving in the next day! John picked up the pieces, called me back on a Sunday, made it happen for a Monday even though he had been ill that day and his guys did the most fabulous job of matching the color, used great quality carpet, were fast and made it look really great. We LOVE our rugs, they match our decor perfectly! And it was a great deal, too. The owner is really nice and was very patient with all of our questions and helped us pick out what we wanted. I know we both can be annoying because we ask a million questions and can be hesitant with buying something but John didn't seem to mind haha and he wasn't pushy either, which I greatly appreciate. Atlas just replaced all the carpet in our home and it looks great! We stopped by the store to look at samples and John came out the same day to give us an estimate. He called the carpet suppliers in Dalton, GA, from our home to see if the options we liked were in stock and put a hold on 2 or 3 different carpets. We also got estimates from other carpet companies but John's attitude was what sold us. I wanted the carpet installed ASAP and he was able to get it quickly and arrange installation immediately. Because of his prices, we upgraded to a higher quality carpet (25 year warranty) for about the same as the other companies charge for a 10 year warranty. Atlas is highly recommended! read more
