I wish that they would stop violating Sac County Code 6.68.140. Specifically, we have repeatedly been awoken by trash collection at the commercial complex of Arden Creek Town Center located at 1730 Watt Avenue, Sac, each night between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. Despite the county's ongoing efforts to get them to stop, it continues. It is disreputable for them to be engaged in conduct that violates the laws. read more

They overcharged me, half the time they wouldn't pick up my garbage pick up like they were supposed to. They strong arm you CustomerService is very bossy. and rude...They sent me to collections, I told them to credit my account for what they owed me and they wouldn't do it. Today I saw something amazing. Atlas trash collectors came by, and I watched one of the drivers jump out of his truck to run up a driveway and grab a bin that the owner forgot to put out. He took it back to his truck, disposed of the contents, and ran the container back to its original place. The truck right behind him drove up and did the identical action for a separate full container of trash. These two employees went above and beyond in their job and deserve recognition for their kindness and thoughtfulness. read more

Called customer service about a miss and he was not very helpful and refused to send the driver back out. I asked him if the driver called it in to make a report, maybe I did something wrong. He said no one called it and the store was probably at fault but still refused to send him back. Horrible customer service and horrible work from the all the drivers. read more

Avoid Atlas Disposal - Unprofessional & Unreliable If you're considering doing business with Atlas Disposal--don't. Our experience with this company has been nothing but frustrating. They have repeatedly damaged our container enclosures without taking any accountability. Atlas consistently overpromises and underdelivers. When issues arise, scheduling an on-site visit with an account representative is a waste of time--no one shows up, and there's no call or email to reschedule. The company's high employee turnover means you're assigned a new account rep every few weeks, making it nearly impossible to resolve concerns. Management, specifically Heather Martin and Dillion Williams, lacks integrity and professionalism. They are pushy, show up at your office unannounced, and make empty promises just to secure your business--only to disappear when it's time to follow through. Their actions have put our communities in terrible and compromising positions. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and unnecessary stress. I initially gave Atlas one star the first week they came to my area because they didn't pick up my trash (even after several calls and promises that they would). A representative explained that with a holiday (New Year's) and serving a new area, they ended up not being able to fulfill all requests. I cannot recommend this company enough. In a town where garbage and disposal services have a reputation of being absolutely awful, this one shined like a diamond. I started with a competitor, who I'd rather not name but were absolutely horrific with whom to deal. After that fiasco I rolled the dice and called Atlas. Spoke to customer service representative Natalie. Absolutely stellar experience for the two years I had them. Always picked up on time, and sent me a note if there was a miss because of my fault of not putting the container out. When my contract was over, emptied it one last time and picked up the container as promised. I will definitely use them again. read more

After using a competitors of theirs for many years I switched to Atlas and it was one of the best business decisions I made. Not only were they much less expensive than their competitor (major company that will remain unnamed), but their service was exemplary and their customer service people incredibly friendly and helpful. The last service I got was a recycle bin and by the time it arrived we had accumulated so much cardboard that we filled the bin the day it arrived. I requested an extra pickup which has a fee involved, but Natalie P., that had the bin delivered for us gave us a free pickup. I can't recommend this company enough. Had to contact them twice in 2 weeks. First week they didn't pick up my regular waste bin but conveniently picked up everyone else's in my street. Second time was this week - conveniently left my Blue recycling bin which is full but picked up the entire street. Just left mine. Are these workers on drugs? Because how can you miss a huge blue bin that is full of cardboard but pick up everyone else's?? How? We never had this type of issue in rancho Cordova until the city decided to get rid of the old waste management company and hire Atlas. I've lived here for 12 years and never had issues with my garbage or recycling missed..not once till now. While their customer service reps are nice, they don't effectively communicate with each other and cannot do much so it's pretty pointless..and that's IF they answer the phone! I'm going to contact the city and ask to speak to the person in charge of this bc I'm not the only one having issues and if you're a new garbage vendor with the city how are you going to fail so fast like this?? You were literally just hired January 1, 2025 and can't pick up garbage for the life of you. I'm pissed. read more

They were short staffed and initially didn't have enough drivers to be able to deliver a dumpster to my home. Staffing shortages are everywhere, so Atlas really isn't to blame. Atlas worked diligently to attract and hire more drivers, so it wasn't but a few days until they were able to deliver a dumpster. The driver that came to my home was VERY personable, professional, and safety conscious. The dumpster they delivered was also freshly re-painted. We used atlas for a big event and they were the best!! They come to empty the trash multiple times a week, always got us the dumpsters we needed, and even helped up with dirt and cardboard dumpsters! We've used Atlas for about three years now for our business trash and recycling collection and the staff has always been great. Our trash load is variable so we call when we're ready and they always come out the next business day Monday thru Saturday. We're also in a area where we need to keep our bins locked and they've bern great about locking the bins back up after each collection. read more

I used Atlas Disposal for a complicated event I had going on that required multiple containers at multiple locations that all needed to be delivered and picked up at specific times. Everything turned out flawlessly. Their customer service was impeccable, the drivers that dropped off and picked up were helpful and professional. Even the containers themselves were in great condition. Steve Bruce, one of their VP's, was especially helpful and was there every step of the way to make sure everything went smoothly. I would like to give this company ZERO stars. The drop off time was set for 1100 am on a Monday morning. Ok i will give them an hour for travel time and delays. At 1230 I called and was told that I was the forth drop off for the day and he should be there within the hour. I called a second time at 2:15 asking again if the box was coming that day and they again said I was next and it would be there by 3ish. I sent my workers home for the day at 3:30 and at 10 to 4 I got an email stating that it was delivered. We left the job at 3:30. There was never any call or anything to me saying he would be 5 hours late. The next day when I got to the job I saw the box and it was pretty small. It turns out that it was a 6 yard debris box but they measure the frame of the container NOT where the actual material goes. We had 6 yards of sod to take out but do to how the box was built only 4 yards fit. We had to go rent a dump trailer from a rental company and take 2 full loads to the dump ot 50 dollars a load. I would not recommend this company for debris boxes. read more
