Had a very bad experience at Atlas Eats. Rude waitresses. Waited for our third person and were told we would have to leave if our third didn't show up. We arrived at 9:01 and, as our third person literally walked in the door, another rude waitress made us leave our table at 9:05. I don't care about your "policy," making customers leave is unacceptable-especially when the parking is a nightmare. The food is mediocre as it is. read more

Food is fantastic! Fresh produce. ..deliciously fresh!! Farm to table concept is outstanding! We didn't know they close the kitchen at 3 to prepare for dinner, so of course we showed up at 3 haha. But the lady that greeted us was so amazing! She let us sit down. She was very gracious in allowing us eat even after close. The people were extremely nice. I experienced the Mexican menu tonight and all I can say is FANTASTIC!! The food was fabulous. Each course was better than the one before. The service was friendly and attentive. Each of the 5 courses is explained when served. And they all looked like works of art. Even the chef was serving. The atmosphere is intimate and friendly as it is very small with limited seating, making reservations a necessity. It is a very different and fun way to dine out. I am looking forward to going again. Went there for lunch with my husband and toddler. The staff and owner were so accommodating and professional. The food is incredible. My husband got the kimchi fried rice (similar to bibimbap - he loved it) and I got the autumn burger - this burger blew me away!! From the fresh, grilled wheat bun, the juicy burger cooked to a perfect med-rare, the savory onion jam, the salty Gorgonzola, the sweet and acidic apple cider slaw...YUM. The food is thoughtful and excellently executed. The whole place smells like fresh bread (their ciabatta is unreal), and make sure to try one of their pastries. We split a Lammington (vanilla cake dipped in chocolate and rolled in coconut), and were thrilled with it. We love Atlas Eats and will be returning soon. It's truly a gem and a great place to bring out-of-town friends and family. read more

Small delightful casual bistro in the edge of metro Rochester. Not much else around this place - but its not to be missed nonetheless. Friendly staff and a nice simple but thoughtful menu. We had a late lunch and all four dishes were much enjoyed. I can only imagine how great brunch must be here on a spring or summer Sunday! I recall there only being about 10-12 tables, so imagine there is often a wait - but i would say its worth the wait. read more

This little place is such an amazing find and highly recommend that anyone looking for delicious, fresh and creative food make their way to Atlas Eats!! We had brunch here this past Sunday and enjoyed one of the specials, the burrito and ranchero roll. After brunch we tried the macaroon and bread pudding. All of the dishes were just amazing and the bread pudding is probably the best I have ever tasted. What makes this place even better than the food is the service. Love this place! It's such a cute little place tucked in our very own neighborhood. My husband and I had a nice walk there this morning! Their breakfasts are the perfect portion and are all delicious! Today I tried the Kimchee pancakes, which were served with dragon sauce (a delicious hot sauce with the perfect blend of sweet and spicy) and a poached egg. I was skeptical to try it but I'm so glad I did! My husband had the special, which was the Shrimp and grits, which were also amazing! The Ranchero roll is another of my favorites and it's hard to leave without trying one of the delicious pastries and baked goods that are made there. A+ for Atlas Eats! read more

I waited until I had eaten here a few times before giving this restaurant a review. I've eaten both lunch and dinner here twice. I've come away with mixed feelings and taste buds. The lunch was great having their burger, the first outing, and the chichen muffuleta with gazpacho on the latter. Both lunches were finished with a variety of fantastic desserts. Their desserts were so great, we left with several items to-go. My mixed feelings have stemmed from their pre fix style world dinner tours. I experienced the Country French and the Turkish dinners. Both left me nonplussed for different reasons. Since I am writing this at a later date, I'm having difficulty remembering why the Country French was so underwhelming, which probably is not fair since I am doing my best to objectively rate this place. I remember the trout and beef being tasty, but wanting more, especially for the price. The Turkish was more recent and readily remembered thinking... The starter of cheese could've been bigger. It was tasty, but so small. The pilaf dish was bland and unexciting. My dinner partner did not finish hers. The lamb kabob was the best thing about the dinner and it was a $10 add on. That doesn't seem right. The meal finished up with rice pudding sprinkled with pistachio and a cookie on the side. The pudding was fantastic. As I am writing this, the general tone of this is sounding negative and I don't mean it to be. I just think that this place has so much potential because they have some really great things going on. I'd like the portions to be bigger and stop charging for add-ons. I understand that this place is a quality over quantity which is a welcome here in Rochester where everything seems to be, 'more is better' attitude. I just feel that after spending $150 dollars on a dinner for two people, I should leave feeling more satisfied and not underwhelmed like i have with the dinners. read more

We went to Atlas Eats for the first time for Sunday afternoon brunch and were delighted by the neighborhood location. The seating area is small, but we only had to wait a couple of minutes for a table. We had heard rave reviews about the kimchee pancakes and so I ordered those. They were fantastic! Crisp outside and tender inside, spicy with just a hint of sweetness. My husband ordered the Skillet Scramble and he was equally delighted with his food. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Very pleased with our visit. read more

I've been to Atlas for Sunday Brunch, Lunch and for the Edible Atlas Dinner. Every experience has been awesome. With all their ingredients locally sourced, if at all possible, and made in-house, you get a fresh and tasty meal. The Edible Atlas Dinner is the highlight of this place. I've been to at least 6, and have eaten everything, even those dishes I wasn't too sure about. I assumed incorreclty that i would walk out of a five course meal feeling overstuffed, but the portions and timing of the cources are perfect. I highly recommend stopping here, even if it is just getting a pastry and cup of coffee. read more

I was super excited to have found this restaurant! Not only is it close to my home, but there is finally a great place to eat in Irondequoit! This place is clean, super cute and always busy because of their food and hospitality! The breakfasts are the best! My favorite is the Ranchero focaccia with egg, avocado, salsa, sour cream and mixed greens. The dinners are so pleasantly different than what I am used to! I love that they serve genuine international dinners that make you feel like you have truly had a taste of that culture. This will continue to be my go to restaurant for years to come! Went for the first time on a very busy Sunday during a farmers market. Luckily we only had to wait about 10 minutes. I had the special, which was a potato gratin, chorizo and poached egg. The best! For me, a restaurant ultimately falls into one of two columns, "they know what they're doing" or "they don't know what they're doing". Atlas Eats knows what the fuck they're doing. I've been for brunch, lunch, and dinner, always perfection. There is simply not another place using the care and thoughtfulness from the food, to the ambiance, to the staff, as this place does. The owners have many years of experience in varied aspects of food service, and it clearly shows in the product that is Atlas Eats. This has to be one of the most charming restaurants in the Rochester area. A true dining experience at a very reasonable price. I never order dessert at breakfast or lunch, but here, you can't aviod it. The bread pudding will put you in a mood i tell ya' what. I like this place so much i'd prefer it to be kept a secret at the owners expense. Not looking forward to the time when i'll be waiting in line to be seated while watching hipsters take pictures of their food. But seriously, do yourself a favor and try this place if you've not already. read more

What I Love About Atlas Eats When it comes to dinner, this is my absolute #1 go-to spot. There's no close second. My wife and I dine there every other week, literally. They have a new dinner menu every 2 weeks and we never want to miss it. If you're unfamiliar with dinner at Atlas Eats, it's a price fixe, 5 course dinner menu. They take the decisions and the guess work out of it and allow you to just sit back and enjoy their vision, their creativity, and their expertise as they apply to every course a level of intentionality with an attention to detail that truly makes for a unique and enjoyable dining experience. It's evident to me that these folks truly love what they do and they express this in their presentation of each course to your table accompanied by a detailed description of ingredients and preparation style. I also love that it's a no rush atmosphere. We know we're in for an almost 2 hour dining event. And that's what it is to us, a dining event. These folks slow it down for dinner and allow you to savor each dish in a unique setting with great staff and a couple of chefs who rarely fail to absolutely knock it out of the park. read more

I seem to be alone here in my displeasure with this restaurant. I wanted to love this place, I really did. I celebrated its arrival. It's in my neighborhood and has breathed much needed new life into a formerly sad little plaza. I have dined there 3 times, and on 2 occasions the food was excellent. I got the Kimchee Fried Rice, some delectable desserts and very good coffee. The 3rd visit was for brunch and my pancakes were fine, but I was served coffee so stale I had to send it back. But we were there right before closing so I can forgive that. What I can't forgive is the chilly treatment by the proprietor/waitress on my last (and final) 2 visits. I got the distinct impression (and my companions agreed) that she did not like us in her restaurant! We were quiet and polite - model customers. She gave me attitude when I sent the coffee back, and whisked away an extra syrup without asking us if we wanted it. I have no idea what her issue is (perhaps I do not fit the young and hip demographic they are aiming for?), but I can't recommend a restaurant that isn't gracious to its customers. I will not be returning, the food isn't worth the unpleasantness. It feels lousy to be treated that way :( And not once was my coffee refilled, as other reviewers have claimed. read more

Yes. Yes. YES. As first timers, we were skeptical, but Atlas delivers. Waitress was a little slow at first, but other than that, we enjoyed every last thing we got. I had the sausage and gravy with chorizo (oh yeah!). The hubs had a sammich that was very tasty. Both were served with a small spinach salad on the side, which was refreshing. And my two young girls had the whole wheat pancakes with real maple syrup, which they didn't like because god forbid they like anything that isn't made with white flour or high fructose corn syrup. No worries...the hubby and I ate theirs, too. Delicious! Coffee is fantastic. And we took home two chewies (flourless chocolate cookies) which were the shiznit. I will be going back and I hope they have the clover rolls this time to bring home. Only suggestion: I'd get rid of the McSorleys Irish Ale (meh) and the Saranac and offer better local craft beer instead. read more

I have only been to Atlas Eats for breakfast thus far and I can tell you that the Ranchero Roll is delectable! However, Atlas Eats is NOT an ideal setting for catching up with friends or family. It is a tiny restaurant so it is understandable that they want to keep things moving, but what I did not appreciate was the feeling that my table was being stalked throughout our meal and pressured to leave the second we finished. Each time that I have visited Atlas Eats my table as been rudely asked to leave because "other people are waiting" - never an issue at other restaurants. read more

Very delicious meal. I went here for the tour of Portugal. I love trying new food and this was amazing. The food was rich and flavorful and wonderfully prepared. All the portions were good sized and not overwhelming. The timing of each course was great too. I felt very relaxed and not rushed to just eat and leave. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. At the end of the meal the chef came around and asked us how the meal was. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing dinner this place is perfect. This place is great. My family was excited when we walked by the location one day and noticed that a restaurant was coming soon. I went in a few weeks ago with my 2 children and we all loved it. The people that work there are extremely friendly. The food from the kitchen was fantastic. The bakery had quite possibly the best muffin I've ever had. Sadly for us, it was a totally disappointing meal... We hoped to celebrate the Chinese new year with dinner at Atlas but we definitely did not savor the flavors of China... We had read the reviews and had built up the excitement of a new place and a good meal (yes, we are foodies) and made reservations for the 6 pm seating... Disappointment started with the first dish. The ribs tasted parboiled and the black bean sauce was limp. Next came a crab dumpling soup. Yes, it looked pretty but it the single dumpling was hard and lonesome, and no much flavor either. Things got a touch better with the shrimp toast in the third dish, otherwise the shrimp serving size was down right skimpy. The fourth dish was duck. My three very tiny and very thin duck slices were perfectly cooked but the rice was inedible. Dessert included one wonderful almond cookie, a delicious tiny teaspoon of coconut flavored whipped cream, and an inedible gum cake. There was not much choice on the wines either. They must be bought in small 8oz carafes ($11-$13 each). We tried a gewurtz, a red and a white from Portugal, and a red from Italy. The gewurtz was a good pairing; no comment on the rest. we also ordered two beers (Tsing-Tao and Red-Stripe). The total bill was $172 plus 15% gratuity which adds to $198 for thee people. A very unsavory and a bit pricey not quite Chinese meal. In all fairness, service was great at all times, we liked the Atlas concept, and the three of us have been good friends for many years, so we had a good time even though the food was very disappointing. read more

They're a very busy small place, and we had definitely lingered for much longer than your typical breakfast. The manager was very pleasant in approaching us to bring to our attention that others were waiting for tables and gave each of us a bagged sweet treat (as a token of their appreciation for our visit and understanding to wrap things up).
