My husband and I have visited there three times - the last time we went I ordered 4 cheese biscuits to take home...before I knew it I was ordering a dozen and two things of Jam. It's just that good. We, a group of four, were able to obtain reservations last minute on a Saturday night at the 8:30 seating. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I say that because while I can't say the food was the absolute best I ever had, the ambience, set menu, and small wine tastings were a lot of fun. To explain, there is always a set menu with 2 options of each course, which you get to pick. The portions are small but it's enough by the end. (I wouldn't suggest this place if you are starving though). The wine is served in small carafes for all to share as they encourage you to try a different wine for each course. We ended up enjoying 1 wine and just kept ordering that for the group. It's a very small place, probably used to be a house, but very cozy and had a wonderful looking bakery area where a woman was making bread and icing a cake in front of us. I do have to say that I wished our dessert was comparable to the tasty treats we saw in the bakery, but it was a bit disappointing. I understand they also serve breakfast and lunch so I may return to try some of what I saw on display. The menu changes every couple of weeks based on a different country's foods (hence the name) so it's not worth mentioning what we had, but I definitely would be interested in returning to try a new menu. They have perfected how to be a top choice restaurant in Rochester! Great food and great service. Went 12/31/16 for a reunion breakfast with my 3 girlfriends. They're a very busy small place, and we had definitely lingered for much longer than your typical breakfast. The manager was very pleasant in approaching us to bring to our attention that others were waiting for tables and gave each of us a bagged sweet treat (as a token of their appreciation for our visit and understanding to wrap things up). This place is definitely a hidden gem. Tucked in a residential neighborhood you come upon this wonderful, cute and fun eatery. Most times there is a little wait but it is sure worth it. Things on the menu change regularly and I can't wait to try what's new but they continue to have their regular stuff too. It's all soooo good. And I have only been for breakfast/ lunch. I have been meaning to try Atlas Eats for sometime after reading reviews and menus of their international cuisine evenings. A friend had a birthday so we tried the Sunday brunch as a preview. We both had the Kimchee pancake, which was wonderful--just the right amount of heat, a perfectly poached egg on top, with dragon sauce on the side. Yum! What a fun restaurant, and the food was great. I was there at lunch and had the veggie burger made with quinoa and beans and it was delicious, with a great burger texture. And, all the great local produce, like the local salad greens and the sauteed greens on the side rounded out the meal nicely. The bake shop is full of enticing options. read more

I was very excited to try out Atlas Eats. I grew up a few streets away from the restaurant, love supporting local business owners and appreciate the concept using fresh, natural ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed my quinoa burger and my husband enjoyed the cheddar biscuits and gravy. We grabbed dessert to go, which was also quite delicious. I was disappointed in the lack of friendly service. Our server gave off an air of arrogance. After researching the restaurant a bit after I left I learned that our server was one of the restaurant owners. I approached the bakery to check out the desserts. The woman did not acknowledge me and was less than warm. I would be willing to give it one more try based on the delicious food and hope that our next experience is a more welcoming one. read more

This morning I went to Atlas Eats for brunch with a friend. I ordered egg and bacon on a cheddar biscuit which they make at the store. It was completely delicious! The biscuit was crunchy outside and flaky inside, the egg was perfectly fried so when you bit into it the yolk slowly oozed out, plus there was 5 slices of good quality smoky bacon on top. YUMO! I will definitely be ordering that sandwich again. Well worth the 5.99 price tag! Coffee was good which is always important to me. Then I gave in and got one of their amazing desserts, a chocolate financier. This dense walnut chocolate cake covered in chocolate gonoche was perfection. It was all nutty and dark chocolate with minimum sweetness. Completely fabulous! You cannot go wrong at this tiny little hidden gem in West Irondequoit. You will not be disappointed. I was thrilled to try Atlas after many friends raved about it. I came on a hot July Sunday for brunch. We had to stand around in a very hot restaurant for about 20 minutes waiting for a table. Though there was one AC apparently going, it didn't seem to be doing much of anything. By the time we were seated, I was woozy from the heat. The waitresses were nice, but seemed distracted and uncomfortable in the heat as well. The food was mediocre, and at one point I waited 10 minutes for an iced coffee refill. I came with pretty high expectations and had an uncomfortable and disappointing time. I never write restaurant reviews, but I felt the need to write this one. Better air conditioning, fans, something to be a little more considerate to customers and waitstaff. And also, maybe the brunch isn't where Atlas really shines. I won't know because I'm never going back. read more

We went to atlas eats today and I could not tell you about the food. This is because they had plenty of tables and would not seat us. Why, because they would not seat just two people at any table except a table for two. So all the larger parties that came in after us got seated right away and we were told we would have to wait. So if you can tolerate rude and unwelcoming service this is the place to go. read more

Food was just okay. Baked goods the same. But it's a quiet, different spot out of the downtown area if you want to check it out.

Atmosphere is charming, food is delicious, service is so wonderful. Living in Irondequoit and suffering from food snobbery syndrome...this place is perfection and a god send to our area. The menu is creative, food is expertly executed and the presentation will make you swoon. You can't go wrong with breakfast [Kimchee Pancakes, Ranchero Roll] or lunch [Homemade Cavatelli]...I love that they keep the creativity spinning with tasting dinners from across the globe. After two bad experiences we will not be returning to Atlas. The food is very good, but the portions are quite small for the price. The noise level makes it extremely difficult to talk and hear. Those things I could live with. However, the rude, inattentive "service" is what will make me not return. My friend and I had just been seated when the waitress came over to take our order. We did not have a chance to even look at the menu yet and told her we needed a few minutes. She was less than pleased, as evidenced by her rude demeanor for the remainder of our visit. I ordered coffee and was never offered a refill. Then again, she never returned to even check on our food or if we needed anything. Interestingly, she checked on the two tables next to us repeatedly, often talking and laughing with them. I can only guess that they are regulars? That is something we won't become after the poor treatment we received. It's unfortunate because we are very polite people, and easy to wait on. First time customers, we came after church for a bite, we picked to sit outside and enjoy the wonderful sun and breeze. Service is friendly, quick and knowledgable of their menu; I noticed in other comments that their menu is small, while I disagree being that there is something for everyone on it, the point is they KNOW how to cook great food here! I got the sausage gravy and cheddar biscuits, while my GF got the three cheese with ham pizza. The Cheddar biscuits were amazing, they poached the egg perfectly! the gravy was not gritty and packed a ton of flavors the meal came with a side of greens with a light dressing. The pizza was a thin crust baked perfectly with a nice firm crunch and a soft center and a perfect blend of cheese and ham. We finished our meal by splitting one of the bakery's three berry bread pudding with wiped cream. All out the door for under 25.00 including tip and tax. Affordable, delicious food with a great low-key setting. Want to escape the clutter and drama of the inner city? Then come check this little gem out! read more

OMG best meal ever I am a fan of quality cuisine and dining atmosphere in our fair city - first time at Atlas Eats and my meal far exceeded expectations. Each bite from the five courses was an explosion of flavors - chef knew exactly what to meld and combine to create complimentary stimuli to the palate. Of note were the details of the cafe - world maps on the walls representing different world regions; clocks set to times in Kathmandu, Bilbao, and Dakar - to remind us that in this one cozy cafe the world is much smaller when united by the enjoyment of fine food. Service was excellent - no indication that there was a set 'line of command' rather a joint effort from all staff - to include the chef - to ensure guests were tended to with food and beverage. Finally, I respect the chef's willingness to bypass the norm of having only one specialty cuisine - be it French, Italian, Asian,--- in order to push the envelope and experiment with the diversity of food from various parts of the world.
