Lugo's had the highest rating and was not too far and it basically followed everything the reviews sad: fast and inexpensive. They dipped my tire and showed me the leak. It was crazy! I usually go to Lugo. For my prious for my scion. Now for my toyota rav4 xle hybrid.2017. I went to ludos to install 4 new tires. I had one tire with 2 nails they fixed it. They said toyota broke the tire pressure sensor. Blame game. I went to toyota. 275 for new sensors. Bought on ebay for 20 oem. Installed for 10 dollars at national tire center. Took to toyota now they say tire sensor 3 and 4 needs to be replaced. Wtf!! Had this problem with sensor light for 3 months now. Bought 2 more sensors will have national install them. read more

Lugo's saved my NYC trip!!! I make regular trips from Boston to NYC and discovered one morning that I had a flat tire. The AAA guy who helped me put on the spare tire thought the flat could be patched and recommended a place called Lugo's down the street and near the Triboro/RFK bridge. Normally, I like to do research but I was tired and decided that this dude was trustworthy. There were a bunch of guys sitting around when I pulled the car into their small entrance. I confirmed that they could fix tires and they said yes. I got out of the car and one of the workers immediately jacked up the car, took off the spare and got the flat out of the trunk. They tested the flat by filling it with air, sprayed it to check to leaks and determined it was unsalvageable. He then went into aisle of tires and found one that would fit my car and on it went. He also put air in the other tires when I asked. The best part was the cost--$35!!! I drove back to Boston without any issues. The guys here aren't the chattiest which was fine with me. They know what they are doing. I felt safe and comfortable. The place is behind the BP gas station and there is a large sign that reads "FLATS FIXED" The entrance is on 2nd Ave (I took 3rd Ave to E126th, then came around onto 2nd Ave). If I have future tire issues, I'm definitely coming back. read more

I hit a pot hole a block away from their shop and both my side tires were flat. I walked over there and they barely spoke english, I had a feeling I was going to get ripped off and that's exactly what happened. At first they charged me $290 for two used tires which is pretty ridiculous (I can get two new tires for that much but I had no choice I needed to get home). I worked the price down to $240. Two days later, one of the tires they replaced is flat again so now I have to replace it again. Yet another rip off tire place that gives you the most worn used tires that they have in your size. The young man diagnosed the tire damage before I even told him what happened and he was right. He changed the tire (not new but like new) and it was $35. I was out of the shop in 15 minutes. It's a little tricky to find the shop since it's behind the BP gas station on 125th Street. I couldn't find it and called the number. They sent a young man to get me at the gas station. read more

The second hidden gem I found in NYC in one day. I had a flat and they have great prices fast service and a really good selection of used tires. It may look like your typical harlem corner tire store, but don't be fooled he accepts credit cards and has wifi while you wait! Discovered a bolt in my driver's side rear tire after dropping my son off at a wrestling match. Looked these guys up on Yelp, saw the reviews, and drove straight there. And they were wonderful. The entire process took less than 10 minutes, cost less than $10, and couldn't have been easier.
