AC stop working Sunday night near midnight. Rep said technician will arrive Monday between noon and 6PM. While waiting for technician to arrive I called three times. All three times I let the representative know the fuse box next to the unit had a lit button with a message saying "when lit, fuse #1 is bad". I told each rep so they can relay the information to the technician to ensure he comes prepared with the fuse. The technician finally arrived at 9:16 PM (Evan Cash). At that time I was in Pass out mode from being in a 90° house all day and evening. After inspecting the unit, he said "I'm sorry ma'am, but I don't have the correct fuse on my truck. I'll have to geat one from the office in the morning and fix your AC tomorrow". To say the least I was livid and said this is totally unacceptable because I told three people who all confirmed it was noted that fuse #1 is bad. Evan said no one gave him that information. He managed to find a fuse that would work and would return the next day to replace it with the correct fuse. Evan receives a full 4 stars however the company receives a big fat zero! I'm very disappointed in the time it took to come replace one little fuse and zero communication even when the reps called the technician to get an ETA . I'm thankful to have my AC back on however, Evan never came back with the correct fuse. I anlso offered to send each rep a picture of the fuse box, but they declined to take it and pass on to the technician. my first call with the fuse information was at 3PM with Rebeca. Has she passed this one to the technician, he had plenty of time to get the fuse before the office closed. read more

Destyn was great! Professional and was willing to show me everything I had questions about. I was expecting the expensive repair recommendation & it never came! However, Destyn's recommendation did not fix the issue. I called Michael & Son, and they can't tell if they're going to charge me again to come out and look at the SAME issue still happening! J James was extremely friendly, professional, communicative, and got the job done quickly. If I were rating James alone, this would easily be a five-star review. The lower rating comes from the pricing. I was charged $600 for a 45-minute job, while other plumbers had quoted me less than half that amount. Unfortunately, because of the holiday weekend approaching, no one else was available for another week, so I felt stuck. I will start with why we have become a big fan of Michael and Son Plumbing. I will detail the problem at the end. They came out within 2 hours of my call. Sam is our plumber. He has 3 traits you seldom see combined in one person. 1. Sam is extremely competent. He diagnosed the problem within minutes of his arrival, and performed the repair in just a few hours. His work is efficient & stellar. 2. He communicated the problem in a way anyone could understand. He then provided 3 ways to go about fixing the problem. He explained the problem and choices in a very understandable way. He communicated with us the entire time he was here. 3. We Trust Sam 100% He does not upsell, or milk the clock. He looks out for the customer, and companies money. I ran to a plumber supply store to pick up a part at his suggestion. This saved me $300 off the top, and allowed Sam to begin the prep work without billing time on the road. The supply company told me Sam is one of the guys they go too. This trip probably saved another $200 or more, and gave me another persons perspective. 3.Sam has a very kind, yet confident composure. He is absolutely honest and efficient. He is Competent, Communicative, Kind, & Trustworthy. My Dad used to say: always leave people feeling like you have done something for them; Instead of to them! I believed I had found one other issue after Sam left. He returned, and went into the crawl space with me, to trace the city water lines and we'll pump lines, to determine which valves needed to be off or on. He offered 2 choices on my concern. 1 choice was free! That's what we did. The remainder of this review is a comedy show created by your's truly. There are 3 ways to get an old man running: 1 of them is a potential mass extinction event, caused by a flood. History on the issue: We moved into our home 6 weeks ago. I attempted to perform a Do it yourself UTube fix, on a shower mixing issue. I was proud of myself for knowing where the main water shut off was. I then started taking the faucet apart. Of course: I forgot we also have well water on a pump, under pressure. I was very surprised when the faucet assembly blew out of the wall: followed by a torrent of high pressure water, threatening to overwhelm the shower drain. This was a true whoops. Just bought a house and had Nyron from Michael & Sons inspect the HVAC--he was on time, careful of carpeting (wore shoe covers), and went above and beyond for $69. He did a 24-point inspection with photos emailed to me. Meticulous, honest, and professional--I'd 100% recommend Nyron for HVAC work. Also, had water heater inspected. Plumbing work was decent, he was honest with what needed to be done but very overpriced--an expansion tank was over $400 (most places $250 max with labor), and flushing the water heater tank was over $300. My tip: call Michael & Sons and request Nyron for HVAC, but shop around for plumbing first. read more

We've had gold home care for years. -came late with no apology --hubby said on arrival he couldn't see well or hear well - did not come in house to check thermostat and that unit was running --said there were spots on unit that were mold and wanted hubby to look - gave options $1600, $900. The technician was very professional and polite. The company he works for unfortunately operates with unfair and deceptive tactics. When initially contacted for service, customer service representative stated a $69 dispatch and diagnostics fee. Technician arrived, great guy, and after I told him what work needed to be done he presented me with an invoice of $266 to troubleshoot. I am not an electrician but i'm sure diagnosing a troubled system costs money, but when I called customer service to get clarification on the fee structure, the customer service representative stated that the diagnostics fee was for "future repairs" without troubleshooting (totally nonsensical). She referred me to the manager which stated the dispatch fee was to cover his overhead costs, but as a customer the $69 simply got me a truck parked in front of my driveway and a technician to say hello to me. These folks have a deceptive payment scheme that operates on the "Sunk Cost Fallacy," giving the impression that dispatch and diagnostic are one and the same, yet they show up and surprise you with a much greater fee. Ask anyone else to come to your house and do whatever it is that you need done. Literally anyone else They're liars, swindlers and hustlers. Charged me for a part that I bought myself and when I questioned it at the time of service he straight up told me that it meant something else. When I called customer service to ask she lied and said she wasn't looking at my invoice when she already told me she was. Called the next day and talked to the best rep ever and when I finally got to someone who could refund me he also stuck up for his tech and said it was a mistake and the guy was new. They get commission if you use their parts which is most likely why he charged me for something I didn't buy. Had a heating tuneup on Oct. 11th, and added a surge protector onto the system. Unknown to me, Kyle wired the surge protector incorrectly by wiring it for a 240 volt system on a 120 volt system. In doing so they fried my circuit board and causing my furnace to become damaged. I only knew about the damage when they sent Jared out on Dec. 3rd to diagnose why the furnace wasn't working, and mentioned that the surge protector was wired wrong. Jared said I needed a new circuit board and said that it was going to be ordered the next day. It is now Dec. 17th and I haven't had heat for 2 weeks with temperatures inside the house getting down to 38 degrees, and all they can do is string me along and not give me a straight answer on where my part is that was supposedly ordered. Needless to say this is how they treat a customer that had a new A/C unit installed through them last year. read more
