What an awesome place! I walked right in on a Thursday afternoon, and Erica took me in. She was super friendly, and did exactly what I wanted. I was so content with my new do! Thank you so much Erica for making me feel and look good! I also bought some hair products (Suavecita and Suavecito ) for my boyfriend and I for when we style our hair since we had ran out. The total I spent for my hair cut and two hair products was $90.96, which isn't bad when you're comparing it to LA prices (where I currently live). I wasn't going to leave a review, but when scrolling this page debating whether to book back in for well over due root touch up I've been too nervous to have done, I noticed somebody else had a similar experience to me.... As the other guest said, the customer service is wonderful, the staff are so nice and friendly and the salon is the cutest ever!! My first visit to the salon everything went to plan with my re growth, my dark blonde hair lifted to the desired light blonde, we kicked out some yellow on the ends and put in a toner (that stayed a little too ashy, but knowing it fades out after a few washes wasn't so worried) The second visit was a disaster from start to finish.... I had said to my stylist Becky that this time I didn't want a toner if it could be avoided as I wanted blonde blonde blonde, as platinum as possible which has been achieved easily in the past. And being told previously that Becky was the blonde specialist I had no worries. My color was put on and I was put under the dryer, long story short 2 lots of color and 3 toners later my hair was an apricot colored blonde! Becky was stumped as to why she wasn't getting the desired color and I was told it was because my hair was dry so it keeps grabbing the color and also it was from possibly being in the sun or build up from the water from washing my hair (never in 20 years of bleaching my hair have I had this problem) I was told to see how the color fades after I wash it at home a few times and if I'm still unhappy I can come back for a complimentary toner...ummmmm ok :( The trim and blow dry she gave me after were on point and I was happy with those, but I'm still absolutely shocked I was charged full price for all services when I was leaving with a hair color I absolutely hated and then had to wash myself at home ( with water I was told was the possible cause..lol ) to see if it maybe faded until I liked it. I did go back after a week and Kudos to Becky she was her lovely personable self and applied another toner to make my hair a shade I can live with (but don't love). I'm now scared to go back as don't have confidence in getting what I want... Platinum blonde!! Another salon has quoted me over$200 as my hair is fried from the over processing of the last simple root regrowth!! :( Very upset!! read more

I had a great experience at Atomic Style Lounge! I went in with a party of 4 including myself before my wedding (2 full hair and makeup, 1 just hair, and 1 men's haircut). Full disclosure, there was an error where my party didn't show up on their schedule initially, but don't expect that as it seems to be a very rare occurrence (didn't sound like it had happened before actually). And they went above and beyond to correct it! They called in a couple of extra people who arrived very quickly to make sure we were all done in time. Everyone there was super sweet and did a fabulous job! It's a nice place to spend a couple hours getting your crew ready for an event. All of us looked and felt great and received a ton of complements the whole evening! To sum it up, the people are great, very talented, and will definitely make sure you are taken care of. I had a very negative interaction with this salon. The morning of my appointment I found out that I was in close contact with a positive COVID case. I got my deposit back but was told not to make another appointment due to it not being a "good fit". I have never walked into the salon before. I am shocked I was told this and given such a hard time over something that's completely out of my control. I was told it was my fault I hadn't been vaccinated. holy crap! I cannot even express how appreciative of them I am! They made my mother and I look so amazing for my wedding. Not only were they so friendly, greeted us with snacks and champagne but it was just so much fun getting ready for my wedding there. They were fast, efficient and made me look like a perfect bride. First of all the salon is super unique and you feel like you step into a time machine going back to the 50's with its decor. Very smart and hip 'n now!! I also love the experience bc I had a wash and style by the lovely Carey who did a magnificent job. She took the time to consult and I gave her free reign on being creative with my hair where she did not disappoint. She also put on my eyelashes that came out amazing. I got so many compliments! I felt like a million bucks without having to pay a million bucks. Super reasonable. GREAT place for a Men's cut. Most barbers cut my hair too short; doesn't matter if I bring in a photo or how adamant I am about keeping it a little longer, they always cut it too short. I think guy barbers must feel like they are not doing their job unless the cut all your hair off. Not here: Every time I come in, I get a great cut. Well, when I first came in to do my hair and make up I was scared that they will not do a good job, since the week before I went to someone else where i was recommended by my own regular hair stylist that colors and cut my hair, and they did a HORRIBLE job with me. I was scared of paying for the same amount again , and they were not going to do a good job......well, I came in to Atomic lounge and I told them my experience, and how scared I was of wasting my time and money to make sure I get what I want for my special day (wedding). What can i say they did an AWESOME JOB with my hair and make up, and I am looking forward for them to do my hair and make up this time around for my wedding which is around the corner. Here's the headline: This is simply the best haircut experience I've ever had.   Short Version if you don't want to read a lot: Amazingly genuine, personable and above all EXTREMELY TALENTED people fill this place with an added bonus of a really cool location and overall vibe. They honestly care about each customer each time, It only took a couple of visits and I instantly felt like family! Long Version:  I started growing my hair out after having a buzz cut for over 15 years. I have kind of weird hair (I'm multi racial a few times over) so it's not really strait, curly, fine or course. On top of that I'm horrible at describing what it is that I was looking for. I travel weekly for a living, so I had the luxury of trying to find a good hair cut all over the country. For over a year every week or so I would try a new place, (a bunch in my home town of Chicago, but also a few in NY, LA, Miami, Atlanta, the list goes on) but I would always leave dissatisfied. I just couldn't find someone that could work with my hair enough that when I walked out I felt like I got a good cut and style. I was literally on my last hope and was ready to go back to the buzz cut when I was walking around the Art District in Las Vegas and saw this cool looking shop. I figured you know what, I will give this one more chance but if it doesn't work out, that's it, I just wasn't meant to have hair. THANK GOD I DID cause honestly at 36 years old with a full head of hair why go bald if you don't have to.  Not only did I get the best cut and style of my life (no hyperbole) The owner, the staff, and the whole vibe of the place was just so inviting. Even though I live in Chicago I travel to Vegas frequently enough that I joined their Mens Hair cut club ($50 per month, unlimited hair cuts!!) and since then have not let any other shop touch my head!! I will literally sometimes have to go an extra 2 or 3 wks without a haircut simply because I'd rather wait for them to do it.   Here's a cherry on top, when my original stylist and the shop parted ways I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to get the same quality cut but after a few months of going in all the time, and building a solid friendship with the owner Jen, I simply trusted them and felt the shop deserved a chance to keep my business.  Jen assured me that she had someone that could handle my cut and honestly, my new stylist gave me an even better cut than my original stylist which I just didn't think was possible.  My new stylist is Becky, she's soooooo good and an awesome person too!! I can't thank Jen the owner enough for how much she's helped me, how personable she's been, and how welcome the entire Atomic family has made me feel. So book an appointment, you won't regret it, I have sent 5 or 6 people that I know from Vegas their way and every single one of them have said the same thing, that this shop is the BEST!!! read more
