Worst wings and customer service. Very disappointed since we picked up a huge order of chicken wings for a party and were excited. (We are usually fans of Atomic Wings brand.) When we got home the sauce was barely on there; tasted sub-par and had zero flavour. Buffalo wings should have loads of flavour. CHECK YOUR ORDER TO MAKE SURE IT IS COMPLETE!!! Their wings are acceptable. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Their service is garbage. Completely garbage. I live 6 blocks away, so I call in an order, get my shoes on and walk down the street. Usually, even during dead times I still have to wait 10-15 minutes before it's ready. Then, the last two times I've picked up from there, they screwed up an order and refused to rectify it. First time, they forgot to sauce an order of wings and left them plain. They refused to bring us more sauce when their delivery guy went out again. Most recently, they left out half my order of wings, which I noticed when I got home. Again, I called and the woman said "we don't have no delivery person now." I told them I'd be doing a Credit Card charge back. She said "you do whatever the heck you want, I don't care." The sauce is tasty, though even my side of Nuclear sauce wasn't particularly spicy (a little disappointing). The fries were great. Man do I love me some waffle fries. They were awesome smothered in the sauce! Verdict: okay for lunch, if a tad pricey. You won't be thrilled if you're someone who's really into spicy wings. I recently ordered from this location. Didn't get wings this time, but I've enjoyed them in the past. I got the chicken-wrap combo. It tasted great, but I was very generous with the blue cheese. The fries were very good. I've heard about people raving about it in the past, but this was the first time I tried them. The delivery time was reasonable. In hindsight, I probably would have gotten my food quicker if I had walked over and ordered in person, but honestly I was just too lazy to leave my buddies house. Worst Delivery Service EVER! I've tried to give this place a chance. I've ordered multiple times to make sure that it wasn't just an isolated incident and every time without fail this place screws it up. First Time: Order takes nearly two hours to come Of a two item order, 1 item is missing The food isn't that good. Second Time: Wings are charred to the point of being inedible. Delivery was slow but not completely terrible. Third Time: I wait, wait and wait. I get a call from the delivery guy while I'm taking a shower and miss the call, and then call him back 5 minutes later. Says he can't find the building and the address doesn't exist. Ask him to repeat the address, he has the right address. He then says "I'll see if I can get someone to deliver your order" and hangs up on me. I then call the restaurant and speak to the manager to whom I explain the address is right, etc. Finally they send someone out and the food gets here. Of course its cold at this point, but instead of getting a cold half pound cheeseburger like the menu says, I get a charred hockey puck that can't be more than quarter pound with no cheese. The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered 50 wings and fries for $100. The order was for 7pm; the food arrived at 5:45. When we opened the food, we noticed we were given the wrong order (and did not have enough food for our group). I called the store, which said they could not send another delivery for another two hours. We decided to wait it out. Two hours later, our food did not arrive. We called again, and the store said it would arrive in 45 more minutes. 45 more minutes later, and our food did not arrive. We called again, and the store told us our order had been cancelled. Well i used to work at this location, i had quit after the constant complaints i got from one of the managers and he was very rude and egotistical. The manager never wanted to get on the phone, but there were other managers that did there best to help, we were always understaffed and the people they would hire were so unreliable. There are a few that work very hard in the store. The food is a bit overpriced but not at all that bad, its a bit greasy but tastes good. As for service i can't say much, we do as the managers tell us. If one said's we can't deliver somewere we tell the customer. Then the customer gets angry at us when the food is either on its way or if its taking more then "20" mins. It's not there fault. Its the delivery and cooks fault, if so its the managers fault. I call myself a "buffalo wing connoisseur" I'm addicted to them! Before I left Uptown for Brooklyn, this used to be my SPOT for wings. I always ordered the same thing except for one, the staff is really nice and they knew what I wanted the second I walked in. The wings are great! Doused in sauce just like I like them. They always came out quick too. The only other flavor I have tried is garlic parmesan. Excellent as well. You can tell they use good quality chicken. I miss them, there are no atomic wings in my part of Brooklyn, they may deliver, but I notice its best to eat Atomic Wings right after they are finished cooking. The place is clean, the bathroom is clean and even though I have always seen Atomic Wings is more of a take out spot, the ambiance is nice enough to enjoy our wings for a half hour in comfort. We ordered ice cream and wings, and the wings were good and large, tasted flavorful, and the ice cream cold and still frozen after delivery. No classless delivery clerk begging for a tip....he was polite and helpful without expecting a tip. I've been a handful of times now (only because I live on the block), so I think I can write a fair review. First thing you need to know is that this is NOT a fast food place, it's very slow. If you walk in and order a chicken tender/wing combo that'll take about 15 min for them to prepare. When nobody's there except me. This has happened many times. Also, I really think this place is trying to prevent all customers, due to the following: 1. They don't accept credit card for purchases under $12, and a combo meal is $9.99, $10.88 after tax. So you're basically always a dollar under, hence why they did this on purpose because they immediately suggest you to add a side, appetizer or another drink to go over the $12 minimum. Smart... 2. They don't accept bills over $20. So this combined with the $12 credit card minimum, they basically hold you to a small $8 "difference window" with what you can pay. That's a joke. 3. They have a sign that the bathroom is out of order, even if it's not. You just have to beg them to give you a key. 4. Last but not least; they straight up refuse to give a customer water. Here's the procedure I've now gone through twice with them: I ordered a meal for $18, then after I asked if I can get a cup of water while I'm waiting for my food (I had been working outside and was extremely dehydrated). I got denied water and they told me they only have "bottled water for sale". I asked if the soda machine really doesn't have water he can give me? He said that it only has seltzer water, I asked if I can get that, he said no that'll cost me money. Then I asked if he just can give me tap water. He said they don't have to water. Then I asked if they really don't have tap water in the kitchen? He said that "yes but it's undrinkable". ( Last time I checked NYC had the best tap water in the country). Then I said well do you have a bathroom? Then, see point 3, I had to ask for the key, and I went to drink drink tap water from the bathroom sink. Haha. Oh well, I don't think I'll die from that. As far as I know, you have to serve water by NY law, I pointed that out, but was still refused water. If you can deal with all of above, then enjoy the food. It's actually decent. I have had Atomic Wings at many locations and immediately loved it. I was excited to learn there was one near my new apartment. I have been into this restaurant many times and the staff was always more than accommodating. However, they messed up my order several times and acted disappointed when I asked for them to fix it. The wings here are quite small and not as meaty as the other locations. The icing on the cake for me was about a week ago when I tried to order delivery from there through grubhub. I ordered the wing combo as I always do and asked to substitute onion rings for fries as I ALWAYS do. This has never been an issue. A lady from the store called me back to inform me that they don't do that. I explained to her that I have done this every time I have eaten there and she just kept coldly repeating no we don't do that. She didn't even offer to do it for a slight up charge. She then informed me that I had to call Grubhub to cancel the order. I did but only to complain about the service. Grubhub apologized for the inconvenience and got me a food credit for my next Grubhub order. The mediocre quality of the wings in addition to the attitude of the woman on the phone will prevent me from ever eating there again. Atomic Wings seems to be franchised as most of the staff here is obviously family. They are negatively affecting the brand and while I may eat Atomic Wings again, it definitely won't be from this location. read more
