We ended up ordering the Oaxaca cheese quesadilla and some honey barbecue wings (6), and our food came in about 30 minutes. The Oaxaca cheese must have been made by some cheese Gods because it was DIVINE. It tasted very rich and creamy, and it worked well with the flour quesadilla. 3 large portions and I was set for the night! My boyfriend ordered the honey BBQ wings and they were better than I expected! The sauce was very sweet, but it had a bit of tang at the end. I live right across from here and I ordered the boneless wings lunch special on occasion. The wings are nicely breaded and good size with a good amount of sauce. The meal comes with fries and a drink at a reasonable price of $7. They also have waffle fries and sweet potato fries which you can substitute for a little extra. I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times so far since it opened and I'm a fan. My review is based on the Mexican food on the menu. I was very pleased with the food and the service. The meat was very well seasoned (meaning it's flavorful) and tasty. They add guacamole to their tacos so let them know if you don't want it, but for those of us who do, that's an added bonus. I've also had their chicken burrito bowl and it was delicious! The grilled chicken was tender and tasty; the rice and beans tasted authentic (similar to what my Mexican college roommate's mom used to make). I didn't think I could eat the whole thing but it was so good that I did. I've also had their agua de jamaica and I really enjoyed it - it was not too sweet (which still leaves room for those of you who want it sweeter to add sugar). I appreciate that they have fresh ingredients. The owners are the people who are working at the restaurant. The chef is an owner and the food tastes like she's putting her heart into it. I have gotten great service and they have been honest about the food (e.g., they told me that the aqua de jamaica is not sweetened with sugar). The price is right at this restaurant. You pay the price they list and there are no additional fees lettuce and tomato as I've experienced at other places. I've ordered from terrific wings a few times through Uber eats and I have no complaints... welll.... that's not e tiredly true.... I love their food. I had a very bad experience with UBER EATS who are completely incompetent and hire anyone that signs up for it. Apparently some kid called JUAN that works for UBER EATS scams restaurants and the company by saying he picked up the food and delivered it when he never did. The restaurant called me and said they were very sorry and would deliver the food for free. I told them they didn't have to since it was UBER's fault and UBER Should take responsibility. Just stopped in after walking by twice, love the idea of a wing spot in east Harlem. Got the 5.99 lunch special, 5 wings and fries, I substituted for waffle fries. That and tax brought it up to 7.07, fine by me. Waffle Fries were good, wings were as well, but nothing amazing. I got the jerk BBQ sauce and it was pretty good, but could use more of a kick. Didn't try the Mexican food, but two people ahead of me got some amazing looking Mexican plates. I'll try it next time. Had waffle fries instead of regular fries with teriyaki flavored wings and it tasted amazing. Both fries and wings were crispy and flavorful. The wings were a good size. I would say about 3 inches long and a bit over an inch if you want to be technical. The sauce had a strong teriyaki flavor and didn't have too much or too little sauce. It was just right, combined with ranch(also had blue cheese for those who want that) was delicious. Also came with 5 celery sticks so it had a good balance of meet, carbs and veggies. The food is really good but the service sucks. They take over an hour for delivery and I work just 3 blocks away. I tried going to pick up my food but sometimes they're open and sometimes they're not. I just went today (a Monday). The door was open and there was a sign on the door that said open but a gate was down. From afar I thought that maybe their gate was broken so when I reached the establishment, I walked right in. I was told that they were closed. I told him that "the sign said open and the door was open" and he said "yea but the gate is down".
