Well the news was not in our favor on this one and he explained that it was not cost efficient to fix this dryer and explained I could buy a new for that. Honesty. That is appreciated and that exactly what he demonstrated. He showed me all the prices of parts and we were in agreement. He just charged the diagnostic fee and put my dryer back together. A Noble Service is lucky to have him on their team and sending out very trained service techs. I would recommend this company for all your service needs.

I paid the $80 fee and was told they would call me with the quote and the $80 would go towards the repair. A month later I called since I hadn't heard anything. Kristina answered and said they don't do compressor installations only repairs but that they would call back with a referral and the $80 would go towards the referral repair. Nobody ever called back. If you don't want to be lied to and ripped off go call someone else.

We should have asked more questions at the time of the quote. Glad to hear there are cheaper options to fix the issue now. I may have just had a one-off experience because everyone seems to love them, or maybe the tech we got wasn't honest, but I called them since our washer was struggling during the spin cycle. They quoted us over $400 to fix this and said it was because it's a complicated and expensive part to replace. Luckily, we ended up doing some research and the part was $30 at Lowe's and it took maybe 20 minutes to replace ourselves. We had to pay the diagnostic fee which was over $100 even though we already knew what was wrong with it. The whole experience felt dishonest. Even if they used authentic parts I can't see that they would be that much more expensive and the labor was definitely not complicated. Next time we're going to research the fix before calling anyone. Sucks that good appliance repair companies are so hard to find.

Knowledgeable and Trustworthy!…read more I have a 15+ year old refrigerator that neither the refrigerator or freezer were working. Akai inspected the entire unit and indicated the issue was the defroster in the freezer wasn't working and needed to be replaced. He quoted me what I thought was a very fair price but before I could say "Shut up and take my money!" he added that when he had unplugged the unit & plugged it back in, when starting up again the compressor sounded a bit suspicious. Thus he indicated I could go ahead and pay him to install a new defroster in the freezer, but it is only a matter of time before the compressor craps out and then replacing it would be over $1,000 and not worth it. So get this....he proposes that I defrost it the old school way by unplugging it, opening both the freezer & fridge doors, placing towels in front of the unit, and allowing all of the ice to melt and then just mop up all the water with towels and my wet vac and that would solve the problem for now. And in a few months when the issue occurs again I can just repeat the old school defrosting method until the compressor finally goes kaput, and then get a brand new refrigerator. Sure enough, I proceeded to do exactly what he recommended and lo and behold the fridge & freezer started working properly again. And I am all too happy to repeat every few months to squeeze every last bit of life from this old fridge until I have to get a new one. Akai could have very easily kept quiet about the compressor sounding sketchy and that it could fail in 3 weeks, 3 months, or 3 years and gotten a nice service order for replacing the defroster since he had already devoted the valuable time & effort to come to my house. However, he instead chose to be completely honest and forthcoming which is not as common as it should be and is very appreciated. I have saved his contact info and the next time I have any issues with any appliances he will be the technician I call. Knowledge and experience is great and there are a lot of qualified & knowledgeable appliance repair companies out there. However, also possessing honesty and integrity is why I strongly recommend Akai for any appliance repair issues.

We bought a new attachment to make it easier for you to complete the job. We don't know about dryer parts. You should have asked about connections when you were making your estimate. You mention regular customers-- we had at one point wanted to become a regular customer. But never showed up multiple times. Lying and saying you will come and then never showing up is rude and unprofessional. If you didn't want to drive all the way back out here to complete the installation you should have reimbursed us for the cost to install the vent and the cord. I don't know if you understand how silly it sounds for a service person to take your money and then tell you to finish the job. That is ridiculous. Finish the work you start. *** This company has changed their response again, now saying that the job was just a delivery. It wasn't. I requested appliance installation and delivery. They never asked what type of prongs or plugs were involved. When he didn't have the part to install it, he said we should go buy the part and he promised to come back the next day. He never came back. He tried to blame it on us. As long as you do the research to ensure everything he needs is available he might do a good job. But-- if he needs a piece of equipment to finish the job--do not give him any money until he comes back and finishes the work. There is a chance he will lie and say he will come back, and he won't. He will miss multiple appointments and waste your time. Most likely he will never come back, and avoid your phone calls. Or... He will tell you that it's all your fault and tell you to finish the job you paid him to do.
