There's a cool greenery area located directly in front with a few picnic benches and umbrellas, perfect for enjoying the warm weather. We tried the chip shot (chips with salsa verde and queso dips), pizzas, and wings (Korean bbq and spicy Asian). I wasn't a fan of the queso, it was room temperature, had a weird consistency, and no flavor. The wings were pretty good and literally were falling off of the bone. The pizza was excellent! I ordered cheese pizza and added provolone and queso fresco. I definitely wasn't expecting the pizza to be that good so it was a nice surprise. A dj was also playing a mix of house/90's hits that we enjoyed as well. Our bartender was super sweet and did a great job taking our orders, remembering our modifications, and checking on us! Will definitely be back! Kaicee our bartender, took care of us

I've had pizza and wings here, and both have been pretty damn good. And the service is always super friendly.

Although the servers are great people. They are often understaffed. The first time I went here was with my child hood tennis coach upon coming back to Richmond. When I saw sports bar, I thought we were about to have a day. I was ready for it, but after he ordered a coke, I knew this food was about to be pretty good. I didn't really order food because I was ready to party. I then went with my girlfriend and we got the spring rolls and chicken Verecialli. I realize the spelling is wrong but autocorrect won't help me out on this one. With her being half Asian and looking closer to 75 percent Asian, that should be a bigger testament to this review. She loves this place! I order it to go frequently and usually have no idea what in the hell I'm ordering, but I know this shit is nice. Give this place a try.

I went in for the pho and bánh mì, and both delivered. The pho broth was the star--deep, rich flavor without being overly salty, and you can tell it wasn't rushed. The pork bánh mì had everything you want: a crusty roll, tender seasoned pork, crisp pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs that brought it all together. What really surprised me was how well they pull off the combination of neighborhood sports bar and authentic Vietnamese restaurant. It's casual, welcoming, and feels like one of those places locals are going to keep recommending to friends. If you're anywhere near Midlothian, put this on your list. The pho alone is worth the trip, and the bánh mì seals the deal.

I REFUSE to eat meat ANYWHERE in RVA but this place. Swear to GOD. They are really that good and we are talking about access to a full bar and HELLA TVS. All jokes aside, you can't thank me right now for coming and trying the wings. TBH, I have no idea about the rest of the menu but I hear that the ribs, chili and nachos rank high up with the wings. They also have specials they run through the week like live bands on Friday, Trivia on Tuesdays and BOGO wings on Wednesday. (Wings have to be dine in but I doubt they won't let you take one bite and then ask for a box- don't tell them I said that) The bartender I met, Tiffany was fabulous like Tiffany's jewelry. It's located in the back of Rosie's Casino - you do have to go through security and show your ID to be able to enter (must be 18 or older). There are several large screens so it's a great place to watch a game. Several beers, a couple wine options and mixed drinks available. They seemed to be understaffed when we went so while the servers were extremely nice, it did take 25 minutes for us to get our beers. The food (wings & Parmesan truffle fries) came out quickly and while I prefer breaded, crispy wings, the sauces were pretty good. I loved the truffle fries and bonus: all appetizers are 1/2 off during the March Madness games. If there's a big game we want to watch, we might return since they have so many screens and a decent beer selection.

This is an American food restaurant and neighborhood bar so it's popular in the area. There's a Greek restaurant in the same shopping center that is one of my favorite lunchtime places for quality food at a good price, so I see Toast from time to time when I'm picking up takeout. We arrived around 2 p.m., so after the lunch rush. They do a good brunch on the weekends, but I wasn't in the mood for breakfast and brunch so I made sure they were serving the lunch menu. We ended up just sitting at the bar. They had golf on the tv so my husband could watch while we were chatting. For drinks we ordered a margarita and an old fashioned. They were as expected. For our meals, my husband ordered the crab and shrimp,p nachos, which surprised me. He's a salmon fan so I thought he'd go that route for his meal but he said he really enjoyed the nachos. I got the Thai salad with ahi tuna. My salad was just what I wanted...healthy and tasty. Toast is definitely a great restaurant and if I lived nearby, I'd be here on a regular basis.

Then had the Bourbon Maple Brown Butter cake to close it out and almost died. The bourbon cake is ridiculously good and intense, you WILL taste it. Bartender was probably the busiest staff member, and he ran his bar efficiently, and with a smile. Overall the place just had a good, friendly vibe. If I have a critique, and I do, it's that the ranch served with the wings is pretty bad. I'm a bit of a ranch snob, and I didn't dip after the first wing. The brussel sprouts, however, were fantastic. Crispy without being burnt. Not too much Parmesan or balsamic glaze. The location isn't in my usual area, but I'll likely be back for a game, a beer from the absurd selection, but maybe I'll go blue cheese with my wings next time around...

It was a tricky life I was living going to school in the City. The burger is excellent. The fries are great. The beer tastes like beer. It's simple, but I love it. It can be a bit packed, so maybe make this a solo endeavor if you're really feeling fat. You can always find a spot at the bar. The parking, not easy for most. To their credit, they do have a good draft/bottle beer list, and their burgers are indeed good. However, that's really all there is to recommend them. The parking situation here is absolutely awful and starts things off on a bad note. Their absence of a waitlist system made it awkward while our party waited to get a table and other groups waiting for a table jockeyed for position, and they took forever to clean it off even after the previous party had left. While it was nice of my compatriots to pay for my dinner, the server refused to split our checks, which made it especially obnoxious for my friends who had ordered significantly less than others since they were still on the hook for the even split. If this had been the only service issue it might have been somewhat forgivable, but the server all but disappeared for most of the evening after taking our orders, particularly when most of us ran dry before our food finally arrived. This all might be excusable in a cheaper place, but Jack Brown's is NOT cheap anymore, they are just as overpriced as every other "bougie burger" spot around without a valid justification for it. At the end of the evening, I looked really dumb for choosing this place. That is definitely not a mistake I will make twice. Overall: 2.0 stars --- Pros: - Excellent draft and bottle beer list. - Burgers are good and unique. Cons: - Recent price increases kill the value proposition of this spot, just not worth it anymore when there are SO many options around for this sort of thing. - Weird seating/waitlist situation makes for a bad first impression. - Service was incredibly low energy, and as I can attest to as a former restaurant server myself, a party of eight needs some effort to get things right. - Parking here sucks, this area desperately needs at least one parking garage to make it less of an exercise in frustration to get here in the first place.
