He tells me after his " inspection" that the system should be replaced and minimum the circuit board replaced ($1100.00). I go into the attic after and immediately hear air leaking heavily and find in coming from the coil box along with water literally POURING from the coil box, down through the box below, down all the wiring next to the circuit board and pooling in the bottom!!! Advised him of low air volume and low temperature in the house no matching thermostat. He tells me after his " inspection" that the system should be replaced and minimum the circuit board replaced ($1100.00). I go into the attic after to immediately hear air leaking heavily and find in coming from the coil box along with water literally POURINGfrom the coil box, down through the box below, down all the wiring next to the circuit board and pooling in the bottom!!! It took me 5 minutes to seal the air leak and water leak. I took pictures and videos of what he failed to observe or share along with contacting Lennox to find the EXACT BOARD was $220. (NOT NEEDED) I can honestly say I'm at a complete loss for words that this "quality" of service is out there. He charged $165.00 for this "inspection" and let everything else observed just simply go on!

During their service visit at our family home, the technicians damaged our carpet. I know accidents happen, so I tried to be as fair and reasonable as possible. I hired a specialist and explicitly asked them to quote the absolute minimum repair size using the exact same grade of carpet so I wasn't overcharging the company. Instead of doing the right thing and reimbursing us promptly, management dragged this out for over three weeks. I had to constantly follow up via calls and texts just to get an answer. When they finally agreed to pay, they insisted on sending the money via PayPal as a commercial transaction, which meant PayPal took out a transaction fee. They left me short of the actual repair cost and expected me to just absorb the fee for damage their technicians caused! I have now had to sent them a formal legal demand letter just to get the remaining $20 balance paid. It is exhausting to deal with a management team that refuses to take full accountability for their mistakes. If you hire them, take before-and-after photos of your home.

We were enrolled in American Comfort Experts' annual maintenance subscription. When we noticed a…read morepersistent "dirty sock" smell in our home, we were told additional duct services were needed. This cost us an additional $870. However, during the duct cleaning service visit, the technician informed us that coil cleaning was not part of this additional service because it was supposed to be covered under our existing yearly maintenance plan. It became evident that the coil cleaning was never performed during any of the previous maintenance services. The duct cleaning technician called the technician who had previously performed our annual maintenance to visit our home and ask him about this. In front of my husband, the technician who performed our yearly maintenance acknowledged that the coils had never been cleaned during prior maintenance services because they were difficult for him to get to. You would think this would be mentioned to us instead of pretending to perform coil cleaning for several years. Because the coils weren't being cleaned, there was a dirty sock smell, which we thought would be resolved if the ducts were cleaned. Finding out that this smell would have been resolved if the coils were properly cleaned​ is frustrating because we would have never paid the $870 for the ducts to be cleaned if this were the case. We attempted to resolve this matter directly with the owner of American Comfort Experts, but they refused to give us any money back, despite not receiving services that we paid for (coil cleaning). Absolutely unfair and unprofessional. ****ADDENDUM: The company keeps replying to my reviews stating that they did clean the coils during the duct cleaning. This is a true statement. The yearly maintenance plan that I have paid for several years includes coil cleaning. I found out years later that the coils had NEVER been cleaned during the yearly maintenance... When we complained to the company that the coils had never been cleaned before, that is when they cleaned the coils. So we have been paying for a service for years that we were not receiving. They did not give us any money back and they continue to comment on reviews without addressing the actual complaint.
