They sell a mixture of lamb, spices and beef to create Kababs - FABULOUS!

Every time I walk in here I feel like I'm in a welcoming middle eastern country. The guy behind the meat counter recognizes me and gives a warm smile and greeting. I come for fresh feta cheese and olives and fresh lamb. I'm also addicted to Turkish coffee and I buy it freshly ground - middle eastern style - half freshly ground cardamom and half dark roasted coffee beans. Fragrance is amazing. Get yourself a Turkish coffee pot and your mornings sill be kick started. The cashier tells me thank you so much for your business with great warmth. In this small place There can be hope for peace. Update: Today the owner (?) greeted me with his usual warmth. It's my weekly stop and everyone welcomes me. After picking up my olives, feta and pita, I told him it's a wonderful meal. He said I need to drink his favorite tea and took me to the tea section - took the box he recommended. Somehow during checkout we he talked of his home - Palestine and how beautiful it is. He showed me pictures of his home town. We agreed that we need peace and an end to endless suffering. What a warm and keep nd man.

Really good lamb. The best. I already left Milwaukee, the only thing I missed is their lamb.

My former coworker swears by the lamb there. I go for the amazing, still warm when you get them, homemade pita breads!

The pita is made on the premises and the Middle Eastern items, spices, etc are first rate and are very reasonably priced.

It's really sad that there aren't many options for groceries right in this neighborhood. In saying…read morethat, Sendik's really takes advantage of this fact and raises their usual store prices for this "Fresh2Go" location. Not much more than a convenience store without the attached gas station. Carries some staples, not many, mostly niche products, some private label products, and some fresh produce and meats...but very few. The salad bar is started fresh on Monday mornings and is then covered and let to wilt through the week. The bakery items are usually stale, which means these WOULD have been discounted in a regular store, where at the "Fresh2Go" location they actually JACK the prices UP and sell lower quality items! Most of the staff though, are pretty friendly. Especially to regular, local residents. I am always greeted warmly when I walk by the check-out and even in aisles, when they're stocking, they have been helpful. It's just the shameful use of the highest priced items, that are then jacked up in prices even more for the Marquette Student crowd. Sendik's is truly shady in this regard! Not just the Marquette students live in this neighborhood, there are local area, year round residents who are being terrible gRaped by this exaggerated pricing! The staff even admits that the pricing at the "Fresh2Go" location is higher than their full service locations, and their website proves it as well if you try to order ahead. The stale baked goods and wilted salad bar is so SKETCH...and then they Jack the Prices UP from their full service locations? SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!

A little less choice in Far East Asian ingredients, and little to nothing of interest to South Asian cooks. The assumption might be that anyone shopping here is feeding a clan because it's hard to get only enough vegetables for two humans, but the prices for fresh produce are so good a little waste doesn't bother me too much (especially since I compost). If you are single and not Asian, and think you're okay with American supermarket instant ramen, you need to rethink cheap eats and try some instant noodle soup from here. A few coins more will get you much tastier instant noodle soups, especially the ones without good English translation on the packages. Add some of the fresh vegetables and tofu or bean sprouts you get here and you can make a cheap meal nutritious and well balances. I guess technically bean sprouts are vegetables but noodle soups require more than two added ingredients I think.

Their pork belly and chicken are a great deal and I love trying their new products in their frozen section (they always have the coolest ice cream)!
