Been going here for years. Love the food. My favorite is chicken parm dinner. Pizza real good!

Food is excellent and so is the service. The ambiance is to be desired. I assume this is the place that you get a quick lunch or a slice of pizza and leave in service is usually over the counter. I walked in and wanted a table and as mentioned above, Gina's service was very accommodating, yet inexperienced. The main problem here is the place needs a thorough cleaning The tables are sticky and dusty and not much attention is paid to this aspect, hence three stars. read more

I don't normally post anything bad about local restaurants, but this really angered me. I ordered I cheesesteak for lunch and had it delivered at my work. As I was eating, I bit into a small, hard bone sliver a couple of times. They were tiny and I didn't think anything of it except to throw it away. That was the first half of my sandwich. The second half I bit into a large piece of bone that actually looks like a tooth. I called and spoke to the manager and was told it wasn't their fault and that they get the meat already shaved. I already know that every restaurant that makes cheesesteaks gets their steaks this way. I told him the bone fragment was nearly 1/2 in. He didn't care. He just said 'alright thank you' and that was that. He hung up the phone. I ended up throwing away the rest of my sandwich. I physically Ill. Never again will I go back. read more

I just happened to walk in after shopping and was so surprised at how good the pizza was. My daughter had a plain slice which she said was really good, and I had the Margarita slice which was excellent. It came out nice and hot and the flavor was very tasty! Place was clean too. The only downside was the price. Otherwise, worth visiting. read more

Ordered the meatball sub and chicken with vodka sauce. Solid meatball sub the sauce was well balanced and not too acidic. Got the chicken cutlet on a garlic bread, which was the right call. Would definitely go back to try rest of the sandwich menu. read more

Stopped in for a later lunch. A large selection of pizzas were on display along with other tempting treats. We ordered a slice of grandma's pizza, a thin crust square, and a full eggplant parmigiana sub with a couple of fountain sodas. There were tables in the rear we were able to use. The pizza was crisp and flavorful. The eggplant was a decent size, piping hot and this reviewer was satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful. For a little local place it filled the need for a nice bite. read more

Classic neighborhood pizza joint with your mix of "contractors" and business types stopping in for a quick lunch. It's annoying that the first table is used for their delivery storage ( pizza warming bags, boxes, etc.) I hate when restaurants use the public eating/sitting area for that...put it in the back! They have specials, decent Sicilian slices, and regular pizza. Every time I order I ask to make sure the slices are hot...they always come out room temp in the middle which is a bummer. I've never had the specials. At the end of the day, they are more convenient than good, hence 3 stars. read more

Attilio's Pizzeria is a Freehold, New Jersey staple and has been for years. I say that not only because it's directly next to Staples on Route 9, but because it has been around for many years. New owners and to me, it's a change for the better. I used to enjoy the food from the previous owners but I never bothered with their round pie. The original owners were expensive and they did not deliver! As time went on, I noticed a decline in the quality of the pizza. Now, with the new owners, I've tried the round pie and found it very tasty. Much better than before. I would like to see a more rigid crust, but that's just me. I've had their antipasto salad with house dressing.....very good! Philly cheesesteak hero......very good. I don't know how anyone thinks they are more expensive than the old owners but they are not! They deliver and, when you walk in, they guys behind the counter are actually smiling and friendly!!! read more

Mostly a standard pizza place for the area. The item that stood out was they had a meatball, vodka sauce, and ricotta pizza available as slices when I went there. It was amazing, and is now my new favorite pie read more

Pizza places in NJ are everywhere. This one is not a standout pizza was ok but really overpriced per slice.

12/21/08 Good pizza, rude staff. You decide. Not for me. Nastiness ruins the flavor. The map alongside this review is completely wrong, but you don't need the map to know where not to go. 8/5/17 After almost 9 years, I revisited Attilio's, after hearing about new ownership. The decor has been upgraded and the menu is more extensive. The staff seems friendly. The pizza was good. I'm glad to have a decent pizzeria in Pond Road and will try more items in the future. read more

Grabbed a couple of plain slices To go. This is my test. Slight crack on a thin crusT reveals the lightly cooked soft interior. Great cheese to sauce ratio. Good flavor in each. Very little post slice heartburn. Grade A. read more

During non-covid times this pizza place has pretty good food. I went in there with my husband to pick up our food after a hurricane and we walked in to a building filled with at least 7 customers waiting. The signs outside said no more than 4 customers in at a time. They weren't even monitoring this in fact they were calling more people in from outside. The person making pizza was not wearing a mask. In fact it was hanging around his neck as he made pizzas and other food, put them in and out of the oven etc. my husband clearly in scrubs after leaving work in an emergency room asked if he could please put his mask on. The man making the pizzas said, "are you kidding me?" Rolled his eyes at him, and then put it on. We asked him to cancel our order. I'm not being overly cautious I'm just asking him to follow the laws currently in place. There were 3 other customers outside that also left because of this. read more

Absolutely the best pizza, rolls and panini around the Freehold area. Their GrandMa pie is incredible. This is coming from a guy that lived in Brooklyn his whole life. It is a huge change from the old ownership. Ingredients are high quality, service is fast, they deliver, pricing is fair and the owner(s) are great. Definitely a must try! Update: Not sure what happened but I believe they changed their ingredients or pizza man. The food use to be great and then the quality went down hill. We know our Italian food and what we see consistently is the swapping of good ingredients for cheaper ones in order to save money. Stop doing this!!!!!!! The cheaper cheese and sauce doesn't taste as good and you just end up losing your customers. Oh well, for the 10th time in ten years we have to find a new pizzeria. Very sad since we order food from them at least 3 times a week. If they just weren't as greedy and kept the same ingredients they would do well. They are all the same. Great pizza! Chicken parm sandwich fantastic! Born and raised in Philly, we say, "it's all about the bread". We ordered from another place for years, tried Atillios a few months ago and never went back. Fast hot delivery and regardless of when you call, even at peak times, there's always a friendly voice on the other side that doesn't rush you with your order or questions, unlike the the other place we were ordering from all those years. Been eating pizza from this place for years. Pizza is good enough and family agrees. I would suggest a calzone with ham and pepperoni as a better pick over the pie if you want something relatively different. Best thing I've ordered is the Sicilian marinara - awesome! Just tell them to halve the garlic unless you don't care about melting the paint off the walls with your breath. Sandwiches are also large and well priced.
