Punctual, kind and quick! The dental staff is amazing here, especially Donna the hygienist. Highly recommend this practice.

I was scared of dentists for most of my life. When I finally found Dr. Phelan @ Exquisite Smiles, I…read morecouldn't have been happier. ALL the staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Procedures are explained very thoroughly, which alleviates a great deal of anxiety. Before any work is done, they go over your record, asking if there have been any changes to your health, current medications, etc. They're always asking "Are you okay?" or "Do you need anything?" or just stop when you signal to ask a question or take a breather. They never "dismiss" you and listen very carefully to anything you need to convey. (That's a HUGE plus in my book!) Compassion & quality time are first and foremost. Their finance department makes all the charges understandable and will set up the best possible payment plan for you, if that is what you need. If I could give TEN stars I would!

My good quality of life was shot to hell by these incompetent, uncaring frauds. UNACCEPTABLE. SHAMEFUL. You know you and your office blew it, Tyler, and wouldn't own up to it! I paid a huge price before I could get out of there! Lifelong injuries, pain and more medical issues and bills. Deceptive and experts at CYA. ---------Incompetent, insincere and haughty office "manager," Jenn, has serious issues, lies and does not care about patient health. Insults customers. Shocking how she gets away with it and shows no remorse. A fraud. -------DISHONEST, HARMFUL and DEFICIENT business/medical practices. Dental work always results in more physical problems and cost. Poor communication and explanation of procedures, risks and follow-up care. Always a new dental assistant who lacks competency. Office frequently over-charges and regularly makes last minute (even the day of) appointment changes, then, falsely shifts blame to the customer. Perform procedures w/o customer's prior knowledge of cost. Lie about cost. Complete disregard for how their incompetency and errors very negatively impact the patient. -------FAKE nice. Manipulative. NOT TRUSTWORTHY. Never take accountability or apologize for wrong-doings and excessive "mistakes." No empathy. Always trying to cover their 'you know what.' Practices like this should be reported to appropriate agencies and even sued. UNCONSCIONABLE.

I had a very uncomfortable and concerning experience with this dental office and would strongly…read morecaution others before going here. I scheduled a new patient appointment approximately two months in advance. Prior to being seen, I was encouraged to enroll in the office's dental membership program months before my actual visit, which was unusual and, in hindsight, appears financially motivated rather than patient-focused. The appointment lasted close to two hours, yet I only spent approximately 20 minutes with the dentist. During that time, the dentist made unsolicited and unsubstantiated claims about my overall health, stating she could identify "gut issues" based on my appearance. She then strongly pressured me to see a specific outside provider charging approximately $1,600 per visit, and implied that any dental treatment would fail if I did not follow her recommendation. This was inappropriate, outside the standard scope of dental care, and presented in an alarmist and coercive manner. The interaction was distressing enough that I left the office in tears. After my appointment, I attempted multiple times to obtain information about my X-rays, recommended treatment, and an estimate of costs. I called the office approximately 10 times, and each time I was told that staff were unsure and would follow up, but I never received a clear response. I was eventually told that this information could not be provided over the phone, which had not been communicated to me previously. The lack of clear communication and inability to provide basic information about my treatment plan added to the overall confusion and frustration. Following this experience, I attempted to cancel the membership. My written cancellation request was ignored, and my card continued to be charged. I was only able to stop the charges by contacting the third-party provider (Clerri) directly. Only then did the office acknowledge the cancellation. I was not provided with any information indicating that cancellation had to be completed through a third-party provider, and this requirement was not clearly communicated to me. Even after cancellation, the office continued to send repeated messages attempting to schedule appointments, despite no indication that I wished to return. Subsequently, I was told I was responsible for paying the full cost of services (cleaning and X-rays) that had already been covered under the membership plan. When I requested written documentation or a policy supporting this retroactive billing, none was provided despite multiple requests. Attempting to charge patients for previously covered services without a clearly disclosed policy raises serious concerns regarding billing transparency and fairness. I did not receive or sign any documentation clearly stating that this was a yearly membership or that I would be financially responsible for the full cost of services if I chose to cancel early. The office also indicated that they would send the disputed balance to collections, despite not providing documentation supporting the charge. Additionally, the office failed to provide my dental records, including X-rays, after I requested them. The office indicated that records would be released once the balance was resolved, suggesting that access to records may be contingent on payment. Overall, this experience raises significant concerns regarding ethical standards, billing practices, and respect for patient rights. I would strongly advise others to exercise caution before seeking care at this office.

He used to be one of those people who avoided seeing the dentist unless there's pain. He thinks they're all the same, but they're not! My previous dentist would point out certain problems, like a chipped tooth and receding gum lines but never bothered to suggest any treatments other than an expensive mouth guard to keep me from grinding my teeth at night. It really annoyed me that he made a joke about my chipped tooth. One of my fillings started to wear down and became sharp like a dull saw. Luckily my previous dental office had a long wait for openings and I managed to book an appointment with Dr. Yousef for an earlier appointment! After a cleaning and assessment, he noticed my chipped tooth, receding gum line and immediately had treatment plans in mind. Dr. Yousef fixed my chipped tooth, smoothed down my chain saw molar, and filled in the deep recesses of my receding gum lines, which would avoid Gum Graft Surgery in the future. He did all of this in less than one hour!!! I was amazed!!! Also, I love that he's polite and respectful and doesn't make stupid jokes like my previous dentist, even though he's not a very talkative man. Btw...I opted for no local anesthesia because I hate having a numb mouth for hours. I really appreciated how gentle, quick, and efficient he was. The dental hygienists and front desk people are also very nice. Highly recommend Family & Cosmetic Dentistry!

There is also a small parking lot in the back. When I enter the building, I go downstairs for general dentistry. From February 2022 to September 2024, I went to Capitol Hill Dental for all my dental visits mostly for just cleaning and exams. The front desk staff and hygienist were always very friendly and we had great conversations. My teeth came out clean and were healthy. During my visit in September 2024, the staff informed me that next month Corporate has moved the general dentistry dentist and hygienist to another office and this location was going to be closed. They offered me to make my next appointment in that other office in Johnston or Scituate or to change dental offices. I decided to look for another dentist office in Providence since it is more convenient.
