Very happy with the service I received. I needed two teeth extracted and have been struggling to get an appointment less than 4 weeks out anywhere else. I made an initial appointment for X-rays and they scheduled my extraction the next day. They took me on time both days, completed the procedure quickly and had no issues. Fraudulent billing practices , they will try to scam you. Stay away from Aspen dental. I haven't been there for over 2-3 years. About a year plus since my last visit there they randomly send me a bill for around $100. I mistakenly just paid not thinking much about it and figured I would be done. Now a year and a half later after that last bill they just came up with another bill that I supposedly owe them over $900. Over 2-3 years after I been there and for service that they made me pay in full the day of the appointment. It's nuts. I called to get a chipped tooth on an upper denture plate repaired. They asked me for all my insurance information. I was then told I needed to get a full exam which included an x-ray. I have nothing to x-ray. This company will bill your insurance company for unnecessary procedures. I had a great experience with Aspen Dental of Attleboro. I had 3 crowns, a complete cleaning, 2 wisdom teeth removed and brand new partials for upper and lower teeth made. My patient balance was reasonable considering all the extensive work I had done. The work looks beautiful and the staff was fantastic. I was so amazed at how quickly the Oral Surgeon removed 2 wisdom teeth and a 3rd tooth and my quick recovery. And the staff shared in my excitement over my new smile with my new partials. They were the best fitting ones I've ever had and look very natural. My entire experience was a great one and now my son is planning to go next. read more

I don't recommend Aspen Dental! Recently moved to the area, looking for a dentist. Had a great dentist in Boston that I had to leave behind. I scheduled a routine cleaning. Aspen dental took 16 xrays and proceeded to tell me they wanted to do deep invasive cleaning procedure. I told them I wanted a regular cleaning but they refused trying to upsell me into a $2500 cleaning. They claimed I had periodontic disease! Not true. Luckily 2 days later I was able to get into Dr. Page in Providence, who did an amazing cleaning and cleared my worries about any disease. Aspen Dental felt like they were selling timeshares to me!! definitely do not recommend Aspen Dental - please be very wary here! scheduled an emergency appointment for Monday, went in and saw the dentist. at the end of the appointment, they let me know that the oral surgeon would be in wednesday, but in order to schedule the appointment, they would need a $1,000 down payment (after insurance) - i said no, and decided to find an appointment on my own, because that just didn't sit right with me (the cost and the prepayment). although it was difficult, i finally found and scheduled an appointment, however i needed a referral from the dentist i saw monday, and the new oral surgeon would like copies of the x-rays. i tried calling for two days straight - nothing. no answering service, no voicemail, no connection to a third party. finally, yesterday, i went back to the office in person to get the information since i couldn't get anyone on the phone (locally or nationally). there, i was told that their phones and systems have been down for the past two days and that they can't help with any of the information i needed because they don't have access to anyone's file. i asked what they recommended i do as this is an emergency, to which they simply said "don't know what to tell you". HOW has a large, nationwide, medical company do your phones and system go down for (now) 3 days? i've been working with hospitals and healthcare facilities for 5 years now, and never in my life have i heard of a company have an issue like this and not have a backup plan or resolution management team. it's insane & its completely and completely unsettling. if they ever get their phones up and running, i definitely would not recommend - overall, untrustworthy. read more

0% COMPASSION. My husband developed a sudden and excruciating abscess which led us to the desperate step of calling 1-800 Dentist around 10:30 pm ( a better option than a trip to the emergency room). We were given a 7:45am appointment at Aspen Dental in Seekonk. . Unfortunately -and uncharacteristically-we were 15 mins late. There was nobody else in the waiting room.., It would only have taken a second's worth of contemplation to think, "Hmm- a dental emergency bad enough to seek help for late at night would probably lead to an awful night's sleep.., which would probably lead to a very slow morning.., Poor Guy! Let's help him out". NOPE! All we received was," I'm sorry, but we have a strict 10 minute late policy, would you like to reschedule?" NO THANKS!!! We went home to begin searching for help and secured a 10:00am appt with a compassionate dentist on our first call! read more

Let's start with how I made an appointment for 7am, you know, so I can get to work. And got confirmation it was booked. And a week later got an email confirming my 8:45am appointment as if I wasn't going to notice the change in time. I call and ask why the discrepancy and they let me know then that they're opening late that day, wow if only you called and didn't try to just slyly sneak an email past me. Then I get there and they won't treat me without X-rays, which I won't do because I'm pregnant. And then I hear the most ridiculous words I've ever heard as a medical professional "I don't know what kind of cleaning to give you unless you have an X-ray". You mean it's policy to bill my insurance for everything you possibly can at a visit, just be honest. I've had plenty of simple cleanings where you don't need X-rays or excuses of policy. But it's fine, make healthcare more difficult and less accessible for populations that need it (pregnant women). It's fast health care corporations like this that give patients distrust of doctors. So thanks Aspen dental for making both my personal life and professional work more difficult. read more

Wont be returning here, had enough after this last visit. 2 bad experiences in a row. Bad experience 1: Went in for my bi-annual appointment last year, nothing out of the ordinary happened. Paid the balance in full to 0. A month later i get a bill saying I owe $19. That doesnt add up, so I called them up. Woman on the phone couldnt figure out why I owed it, but kept insisting i owed it. She suggested I call my insurance company, mostly seemed like her way of trying to get me off the phone because she herself felt it uncomfortable to tell me I certainly owed money for something that had no grounds. Called the insurance company, and they said I do not owe past what I had already paid. Called Aspen back, same woman said id owe it or would become a problem. I don't need any problems, so i paid a $19 bill for nothing just to make it go away, that no one could explain why I owed. THANKS. Bad experience 2: (the last straw) Went in for my bi-annual this year, before going to sit in the chair the woman wanted payment for a fluoride treatment my insurance dint cover. I had forgot my Health Savings Account debit card so I asked if i could call back later in the day. The woman frankly said "if you cant afford it, we cant perform the treatment on you today" CANT AFFORD IT? Been coming here for 5 years, thanks for that kick in the pants. I told her it was never an issue to call in with my HSA card over the phone before, and ive always called in a few hours and brought the bill to 0. Then I started explaining the tax benefits of waiting to charge it to my HSA, rather than paying now and how much a headache it would be. She stopped me mid-sentence, rolled her eyes and said "hey, ive only been here for a few months, i don't know anything about HSA and that stuff." Then she started telling me it was an inconvenience TO THEM to wait for me to call in...That was the moment I realized I wont be coming back. I hate for my business to inconvenience them, so ill go somewhere else. ALSO, never have i had the same tech clean my teeth, its always someone new. I'm tired of the impersonal experience. read more

I've only had my consultation with aspen dental and I have nothing but good things to say! I made my appointment for the same day I scheduled it easily online. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcomed. They were informative about everything they were doing and made sure I was comfortable. I revisited the next day and they remembered my name, I had no problems when scheduling my appointment for my wisdom teeth extraction and they were very helpful in getting me on a payment plan. I'm sooooo glad I did not check the reviews of aspen dental before making my appointment as they would have discouraged me from going. read more

I joined yelp just to write this review... it's sad that this is the only power I have against Aspen dental, and with their one star rating... I'm not exactly hurting them. Anyway, I needed 2 teeth replaced. I was given enough credit from their finance company to get one put in. Around 5k. once the work was done, I came in for the check up, and they had started the process of fitting my for a second tooth. I was very very clear that since I only had credit for one tooth, I was going to pay that one off, then get the next tooth financed. The big lady in the office said since I hadn't answered when they called, they made the mold to get started on the second tooth right away. I specifically told them I couldn't afford the work so it was Aspen Dentals error. The Large woman in the office actually stood up and lied right to my face and said I ordered the work. I refused to pay and now this is a year later. they just put this bogus charge on my credit report as I was finalizing the deal on my new home. Because of this incident I lost the house. If this review just gets a few people to not get involved with this business I'll feel a little better. Liars and thieves. Choose another dentist. read more

Complete liars. First off they better take down any mention of an "oral surgeon" and any mention of "tmj" on anything to do with your website, or advertisements ever! Total false. Second they need to learn how to read, they made me fill out 2 different forms that I specifically mentioned that I had a dentist already and had a cleaning within the last 3 months. They misled me to believe I would be seeing an oral surgeon about my TMJ which I was in a lot of pain for at the time! Come to find out they do not have anyone on staff that is an oral surgeon, and knew I was coming in for that specifically. They took xrays, charged my insurance for that, then had their nurse not even the dentist, poke my gums for what they call a "gingivitis check" - which was an absolute joke. And gave me a referral to a teacher at Boston University. Who I called and was told I would basically be a test subject! Never in my life have I ever been this furious and this taken advantage of. Then when you call don't bother leaving a voicemail because the billing department won't call you back ever. Complete waste of time unless you get some on the phone. $86 bill for them to poke my gums. Complete robbery. Aspen Dental in Attleboro, MA should be ashamed of themselves. During my first patient visit I was "recommended" deep cleaning and I said yes at the time. But then considering their outrageous pricing I decided I would go with regular cleaning but I was declined this service. I was told that I had to follow their treatment and I wouldn't be given regular cleaning. It's obvious that their priority is your money. I was denied service, it is unbelievable. GO TO ANY ASPEN DENTAL BEFORE YOU GO HERE! I went in to begin the process of getting dentures. To my surprise they demanded full payment prior to extractions. I argued with them in the office bout it with the office manager named Laney. She was very rude and condescending and shoved papers at me when I said no one told me full payment was expected on extracting day. I was told this was standard operating procedure. Reluctantly I paid well over $3500 and once my insurance, flexible spending, and HRA went through my $3500 was a credit. I went in my next appointment and demanded my credit. I was then told it had to go through corporate. Well, I went home and called corporate. They were appalled at the treatment I received from Laney and said it was not standard operating procedure to collect all money prior to billing the insurance. Corporate also told me that this location gets a lot of complaints similar to my experience. I wish I had checked yelp prior to going here but I am stuck because you cannot go to other Aspen Dental offices once you've started a procedure at a specific one. This is the worst rip off ever! They are charging ridiculous amounts of money and then double dipping to my insurance company. I have great dental coverage but choose Aspen because of the multiple locations all over New England. For an annual appointment that should have been 100% covered by insurance they charged $100 . Then told me they would charge double price on a cavity because it was between 2 teeth. This again should have been covered by my insurance 100% but they gave me a price in the Thousands $$$$$. I was in a lot of pain and was able to get an appointment the very next day (on New Year's eve) the staff was SO nice and helpful. Very professional. From the x-ray technician to the hygienist to the doctor everyone made sure I was comfortable and made sure I didn't have any questions. I am really inexperienced with financing and had a panic attack when I realized I needed a $3000 surgery without insurance, but they sat down with me and explained all my options and we came up with a plan that worked. I had heard mixed review about Aspen Dental as a franchise but the Attleboro branch was really great and my experience there let me enjoy the holiday without absolutely freaking out! read more

Very disappointed with the visit mainly because of the staff supporting the dentist on site. The staff was busy socializing when I waited and they were distracting each other while I was having X-rays. Then the weird set up where they count off your gums but don't do a cleaning on the same day unless there is a cancelation or something. Dentist was very thorough which I appreciated. The hygienist was brutal. She cleaned my teeth quickly and rough. It's 4 days later, I have no dental issues at all and my mouth is still sore. I slammed the door on my way out and am embarrassed to even say this but cried in my car. It was really horrible I should have gotten up mid cleaning and left and filed a complaint. I only wish that I could negative or zero stars. I went there for two things - a cleaning and updated x-rays. Apparently you aren't allowed to get a cleaning on your first visit?? I had scheduled via their call center since you can't call the actual location (so annoying!) and they confirmed a cleaning and x-rays but only x-rays happened. Very irritating when I am taking time off from work and then not even getting the primary service I went for. I also found out that Aspen is much more expensive than a normal dentist - about twice as expensive for insurance co-pay than who I typically use. Avoid this place like the plague - it's overpriced and the service was awful. I was made to wait forever and was supposed to be the first appointment of the day yet others who arrived well after me were seen first. Hopefully they close this place down. I went in to Aspen with a chipped/broken tooth and they took me in for X-Rays. They did a quick evaluation and sent me out the door with a hefty bill and a payment plan process for it all. I believe it was for 3 fillings and a cleaning. I must have been re-scheduled 4 times during the whole process. Mind you, a chipped molar is not fun....they didn't seem to have any care in the world about the fact that it was more urgent. I would be called the day of my appointment saying that they had to move me. After the second time I finally told them that I had already been rescheduled and that they needed to reschedule someone else. I was finally taken in and they "fixed" my tooth. My bite was off, had to have it fixed the next time I went in, and now, only a few months later, my tooth is not fixed at all and is in pain. I called them today to have my cleaning refunded to my account because I was rescheduled so many times for that, that I decided to never go back, and when I called to speak to someone they couldn't care less that I was leaving and that I was unsatisfied with their service. Didn't try to apologize, didn't ask if there was anything they could do to remedy the situation....nothing. Horrible place. No thank you. read more

My most recent experience has been less than good. The customer service has been very unprofessional, they hang up on their customers, I was unhappy with the service, requested a refund per their agreement and still have yet to see the payment on my account 3 months later. I paid out of pocket and they claim they are waiting on my insurance to write back. Their commercial is all fake, they can't make dentures in an hour and there is no money back guarantee. I would have been better off with the small no name dentist office versus Aspen Dental. read more

The Aspen Dental in Attleboro, MA is the most unprofessional dental office I have ever been too. If you ever have a dental problem I suggest that you avoid this place at all cost and save yourself the aggravation. The office manager was rude and super horrible while at the same time saying that they have done the best they can to assist me. She didn't even try to help me. The dentist that saw us apparently didn't even feel comfortable prescribing an antibiotics to my daughter, because she has an allergy to two different kinds. What kind of dentist only feels comfortable with two different types of medications even our doctor was was surprised by this and found it to be unacceptable. I should have seen the warning signs when the day before they call, first to obtain information that I had already given them, and then at night to try and cancel the appointment (last minute) for my daughter who was in pain with a tooth ache. They didn't even have the decency to call me earlier in the day so I could have found another dentist. read more

They locked me into a fixed rate for over the last 8 years due to a horrible lay off from a company that I worked for for 24.75 years and my dental coverage would have been higher than my medical coverage. They gave me a price on some veneers that is guaranteed until 2020 and a chance to save up some money to install them.Why I am giving them 4 stars is you can't transfer out of your initial location,and you don't know who your dentist or technician will be on your next visit. read more

Yesterday was my second time Aspen Dental (Attleboro location) both times I have been greeted by friendly staff and have been seen in less than 5 minutes of walking in the door. The office is clean & inviting. My initial appointment was to check and see what services I would need. The dentist was very friendly .Having the dentist actually explain to me what needed to be done and why was refreshing compared to past dental experiences. I came back 2 weeks later to see the hygienist and talking to her for 2 minutes I knew she was educated. Not only was she educated she was probably the best hygienist I've ever had. I have a few more things I need done so I will definitely be coming back and this will be my dental office from now on. I would definitely recommend Aspen to anyone looking for a new Dentist! read more

I had a situation where a tooth was infected and my regular dentist couldn't see me right away so I called around and found that this dentist could see me as soon as the next day, they had the doctor examine me to find out I either needed a root canal which was gonna cost me 1500.00 to save the tooth, or I could have it pulled for 300 and they wanted payment before they even started like I was gonna run away and not pay, I then tried to find a way to come up with money or credit for the root canal which I was I didn't have the means so I went ahead and had them pull it, first they gave me 2 needles in which did not numb the pain at all , I was screaming bloody murder and they showed no sign of empathy at all as I was jumping off the table , then after it was done he finally says, did you feel pain or just pressure??? I said MOSTLY PAIN and pressure. I was supposed to only feel pressure, these people are totally inhuman to make me go through such torment. I will never go here again nor will I recommend anyone to go hereto this house of horrors!!!!!!! Very disappointed in this company!!!!! read more

Horrible!!! Worst experience I've ever had with a dentist, or any health care facility actually. The staff was horrific in regards to communication - blaming each other (can't tell you how many times I heard, from different employees, "well I wasn't here that day it must have been ___") for their miscommunication errors. Cleaning and X-rays were fairly routine. Was told I had a cavity, which was fine - scheduled a date to take care of that. Come that day, there and ready (after what seemed like an excessive amount of numbing injections), they drilled the tooth and said to me, "I don't see a cavity here.. sorry". There after, I needed a letter on their Aspen Dental letterhead. It took 37 days, 13 phone calls (with no replies back beyond "we'll let the office manager know"), and one very demanding visit in the reception area to get the office manager to finally write a (literally) 2 sentence letter for me. Would not recommend this dentist office to anyone, and have contacted the better business bureau. Don't waste your time, or healthy teeth! read more

I really cant say enough about this office, i am 55 year old educated woman. I have let my teeth go and its very sad, i have a wonderful life and we take many picture but none of me really smiling. I came into this office so nervous and anxious, i was greeted by Justina and i said out loud " god Im nervous" she said oh don't be nervous its going to be fine, do you need a hug?" she set the tone for the rest of my visit. i have had some not so positive experiences in the past( NOT THIS OFFICE). I think i waited 3 min before i was called in. After my initial visit with Dr. Oswal he was very honest with me and he was very positive. i was truly so embarrassed about letting him even look at my teeth. He did not make any negative comment he just kept saying we will fix this. I sat down with yet another very positive and friendly Delaney, who showed me all my options, yes having teeth fixed is very expensive no matter what office you go to. she did not pressure me at all, she was very calmly and gently showed me my choices and offered many solutions. I came back to get my beautiful smile and Nara and Kathia kept me calm and kept smiling with there positive attitudes they calmed my already so anxious mind, I have so much anxiety about the dentist, this office has taken that away. This office from Dr Oswal his hygienist , lab tech Sue and the office manager Diana and don't let me forget Darshini the hygienist. Has changed my mind forever. I can not thank you all for all the positive reinforcement and helping me get the most beautiful smile in the world. my family keeps saying " We don't think that we have ever seen you smile." they love my new smile and i just cant stop smiling. thank you all for everything you have done.
