I had two VHS tapes converted to mp4. Pro: The conversion worked well. The VHS tapes were handled well and survived. The files are good quality. The price was reasonable. I am glad to have a physical store to go to. The time needed was about what they estimated. Con: After I left the store with the second flash drive and got home i found the drive was empty, no file. I called then the next morning and described the issue. The guy said "bummer". He asked if i had checked the drive before leaving the store. I replied no, although the answer seemed obvious to me. I guess he was indicating that this was my fault somehow. I could have asked him the same thing, ''did you check that the transfer service to the drive was completed before you told me it was and sent me home?", but i didn't. He checked that they still had the file on their system and could give it to me if i came back in. This went smoothly and i asked whether i could have a discount for the inconvenience of the second trip (20 minutes each way). He related that since I had provided them with my own flash drive, and that was likely the issue that led to the empty drive, he wouldn't offer a discount. He offered me two reasons why this was my fault, but didn't offer any apology for the inconveience or indication that he felt he had any role in what happened. Honestly, if i had heard him use the word, 'sorry' a single time this would have been a very different review. To be clear, I DID ask to not buy their drive (another expense) but rather asked if they would use a new drive i had that was still in the wrapper. They agreed to that and it may have been the reason for the empty drive. But I would recommend that they add a check to their process that the file is transferred properly before giving it to customers.
