Discovered Auburn Electrology & Skincare about 10 years ago. I went here with a friend to get our first ever Brazilian. This salon is out of her home and the feel is very warm and welcoming. The room designated for her salon is large and extremely clean. She has definitely thought of every detail for her clients. I remember prior to covid, she had a basket of fidgets, massages, gum, candy, etc to make your experience more comfortable. There is a bathroom that has different things to meet your needs (wipes, pads, whatever!) So far I have gotten her Brazilians, eye brow wax, and lash tint and lift. I have been in during covid and I appreciate all the cleanliness and safety precautions set in place. She does everything she can to keep both her clients and herself safe. I came to Auburn electrology and skincare because I was looking for electrolysis treatment of my facial hair. Carol is one of the few people in the entire Puget Sound area doing electrolysis. I was extremely pleased with my care. Carol was kind, knowledgeable, and prices were very reasonable. I was particularly impressed with how knowledgeable she is of the skin of people of color, and so I felt safe getting my treatment with her and not worried it would result in scarring or hyperpigmentation. I had my first treatment and I am one month out. I had no reaction, improvement in my hair growth. I got a Brazilian wax a few months ago. I've had sugar wax before but not hard wax. She gives you a nice ice roller to distract from pain/discomfort. I asked for her to wax my butt cheeks as well and she left wax all over my butt and I left sticking to the seat in my car and on my thigh crack area cause me to stick to my pants. Over all it wasn't horrible it was good service and I felt comfortable the whole time she offered me free samples in a little goodie bag but could've done the clean up job better getting leftover wax. read more

All I can say is that Carol is an AMAZING miracle worker!!! I came to her for eyelash extensions and I am SO SO SO happy that I did! She is extremely knowledgeable, experienced and thorough. Carol is a master in her trade! I've never seen someone do a 45 minute fill with the amount of lashes it takes the average person over an hour. This is a small sole proprietorship with Carol doing the services. There are several services offered at this one location, waxing, facials, body wraps, electrolysis, eyelash extensions... To date, I've only used the eyelash extension services. She does a good job...obviously...that's why I keep going back. The eyelashes have stayed on very good, even after I was sick and constantly rubbing my eyes (a big no-no for those of us with extensions). The prices are reasonable as well - a little less expensive than what I was previously paying in the city. Beyond quality of work/price a big benefit for me is the location. It's very close to where I work and super convenient. For a fill it takes about an hour which is perfect for a lunch break. That added convenience for me may be a hindrance to others. A bonus for the location is it's super quiet. Oh yeah, she also has a TV so you can listen to it while you're getting your eyelashes done - if you do this, take my advice and not watch the food network - by the time you're done, you'll probably starving with food on the mind... anyway, it's worth checking out. read more

I've been to 4 other eyelash ladies and Carol is by far my favorite for a couple reasons... 1. She does my eyelash extensions EXACTLY how I like them. 2. She was able to take my bushy eyebrows and magically make beautiful arches! 3. I'm a waitress and my schedule is crazy! I often don't know what time I can make it in till a few days before and Carol always finds a way to squeeze me in! 4. I'm never bored with Carol. She keeps me well entertained. She treats you like a friend and always genuinely wants to know what's new with you. She's fun to talk to and always has me cracking up or gives me some good advice! I've been visiting Carol Ray for electrolysis for the past several months. At first I was surprised that she does business at home, but I've never found it to be unprofessional or unclean. Her home and the business within is always neat and tidy and professional looking. I know from experience that she is very careful about all sanitation and uses the best equipment available for electrolysis. I started sessions with her because she had a decent website and seemed to be the most legitimate business for electrolysis I could find nearby to deal with unwanted facial hair. Carol met every expectation I had about safety and sanitation procedures, health concerns, what kind of information an electrolysis clinic should be forthcoming with, everything checked out. I kept coming back because I know that Carol is very skillful and kind. Her demeanor is always bright and cheerful and she is very responsive to my needs during electrolysis. Electrolysis generally has some amount of pain but Carol is very attentive to my experience and very capable of adjusting the level of voltage as necessary. And skill-wise, I was surprised at how quickly and steadily she worked. It is such that I would hate to try to find someone as good as her in the south king county area. I haven't had any scarring or any other problems at all that I know can happen. And I think that, at best, the hair count for an hour would be above 600, but I don't really remember. It always feels like every minute of my time there is worth it. I always like to recommend this place to my friends when they ask me about electrolysis and in short, I trust Carol to work on my face and always feel great about coming back to visit her. Carol is great and she does a fantastic job on my eyelashes! She uses top of the line eye lash extensions and attaches them one at a time as opposed to one long strip. She uses quick drying glue so I do not have to wait hours to open my eyes. The glue is super strong, too. The lashes stay put. I was terrified at the thought of a bikini wax (usually just shave or use nair) but had wanted to get one for a very long time. Carol instantly made me feel comfortable, offering me gum to chew and a ball to squeeze in case the pain became too much (which it never did). She turned on the TV for me to watch while she was working. I knew once I left that she had made a new customer for life- I will be going back to her most definitely (my second appointment is today).
