Parking takes some patience on a Saturday afternoon - but once we started up the parking ramp and saw what a snarl it was, we were already committed. Is backing into the space a new trend? We saw (and waited) for at least 10 cars to back into their spot - this was the entire reason for the traffic jam. But once parked, it's just a quick jaunt over to the second floor entrance. Of the theaters I've been to in the Sacramento area, this one is head and shoulders above the rest. The staff is engaging (call out to Ethan scanning tickets) . The management of this location has brought together a team that enjoy helping the patrons and appear to enjoy working as a team. There was some training going on while we were there and the suggestions given by fellow team members were thoughtful and - this is the big thing I noticed -were received in a welcome manner. The concession stand was well maintained and the crew was busy tidying up after what looked like a crush of people. I do love that I can get a glass of wine at the theater. There a small section with high tops and chairs to sit with a glass of wine or actual onsite made to order appetizers/starters. The theater itself was super tidy, reclining seats are comfortable and the sound system was perfect. The bathrooms were immaculate. I didn't see a single stall out of order, and after what had been a full day of use, every thing was well stocked and very clean. What I'm going to remember, and what going to bring me back to this location, is the staff.

I feel like there are food choices that I haven't seen at other theaters here, which also contributes to the uniqueness of their concessions area. As for the screening rooms, they have the same, comfy recliners as other Cinemarks and everything has been clean in my experience, thanks to the quick staff. It's located on the 2nd level of the Galleria above Round 1.

It used to be upscale, but it is now downright disgusting. ​When I sat down, my seat was filthy with food stuck everywhere. I literally had to force the staff to come out and wash my seat down before I could even sit. The rest of the theater and the carpets are just as dirty. The bathrooms were completely unacceptable--gross, poorly maintained, and entirely out of toilet paper. ​To top it off, the food and service were horrendous. I paid for a hummus board that used to be nice, but it arrived sloppily thrown together in a bowl with overcooked, dehydrated chicken jerky on top. They were also entirely out of the milkshake I actually wanted. ​Stamping a "premium" label on a building and charging luxury prices while delivering a run-down experience and terrible service is trash business practice.

At least they have trays connected to the seats as some locations do not. They did reupholster the seats. Last time I came they were peeling very bad. Service is friendly enough. Its clean inside. Oh and not sure if its because i chose the first showing but its freezing in here! I even brought a blanket and my toes are frozen brrr! Lastly the movie club is worth it if you like going to the movies because concessions are 20% off.

The Auburn State Theatre is such a treasure…read more Built in 1930, the historic venue is a modification of its original version. Gone is the balcony seating and additional screens from decades before. It is now a singular 350-seat non-profit theatre run by friendly volunteers. As I write this, the theatre is temporarily closed for some needed repairs and restoration work. I seriously cannot wait until it reopens, as I come here pretty regularly with friends to enjoy the adventure documentaries that this theatre prominently features. The State Theatre is always super clean, the seats are comfortable, and there truly isn't a bad view of the screen anywhere you sit. Plus, the volunteers make really good popcorn and serve local beer and wine at reasonable prices - all to benefit this fantastic historic theater. I've seen several inspiring films here, but a recent screening of "Buried: The 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche" was particularly moving for me as it was also followed by a Q&A with not only the filmmaker but also a few key people from the documentary. I really look forward to seeing more amazing films at this historic theatre and encourage everyone to check them out when they reopen!

The entrance and lobby are a positive nod to the history of theaters in look and feel. Concessions had a good selection. I was able to arrive early and enjoy my snacks and soda early to take in the experience. The theatre was clean and the staff helpful. Parking lots in the area in several directions, which is helpful being downtown. Mark S. Allen was even there from the local entertainment news team. What a great time my team had (we do the mobile Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes game) and felt right at home. Thank you for a great first time experience. I will be back for sure.
