I am a current tenant at Auburn Way Self Storage. I have rented several units here over the years. Navia is always so wonderful and accommodating. Willing to take the time to answer any questions I have. Yesterday I came in with my brother who needed a unit. He suffered multiple heart attacks and a stroke in 2024. Cognitively he is slower than he use to be. Navia took the time to walk him through the entire process and answer any questions he had. My Mom had a large storage unit at Auburn Way Self Storage. She recently passed away, and the family went to the unit to remove her personal belongings. Imagine the horror of discovering that EVERY SINGLE SURFACE WAS COVERED IN RAT FECES AND URINE, AND RATS HAD MADE A NEST OUT OF HER SOFA. Half of her 130 boxes had droppings and urine Inside. The majority of her belongings had to be taken to the dump. The only saving grace was my Mom not being alive to see what had happened to her beloved belongings. In case you're wondering, senior management made a point of letting us know that all rental agreements state they aren't responsible for issues with rodents. THIS WAS NOT A MINOR ISSUE WITH RODENTS. This is by far the best storage facility I've ever used. The units, office, and grounds are so clean. I feel very secure with my belongings being stored here. The manager, Navia, is amazing. She went above and beyond helping me with an issue I had. They have wonderful and inexpensive monthly plans and gave me a great deal. The customer service is by far the best I have ever experienced. The management is quick to blame before investing what really has happened. The management has done nothing but make my experience with this business unpleasant. She has pointed the finger at me numerous times for something she had to call back later and apologize for her wrong accusations. Also was locked out my storage for a week and a half because she put a new lock on the outside main hallway door she did not give me access too. After reaching out to her and calling her numerous times I finally got access 10 days later. *My account was current and paid all 10 days I couldn't access my unit. 1 out of 10 do not recommend doing business. I will begin with Robin. She went out of her way to stay open late for me when I first got my unit 3 months ago, never had a problem til now. First of all, my bill has been a different amount every month, & I just found my receipts, which I had misplaced & will b straightening this out today also. I was charged $93 last month for my 5 x 5 unit. Its only $46, but one of the months I was late & I was charged $56, my fault cuz there's a $10 late fee charge so y was i charged $71? Also the so-called unprofessional manager is a jerk. Is there a time limit? I mean I'm 61 years old & was trying to organize my unit & he approached me & basically told me to clean it up & that I had been there since 5am & said its not the place to just "hang out". For God sakes, r u serious? I have a herniated disc & rheumatoid arthritis & didn't know I was being timed & watched either. I pay rent there every month so what is it to him how long I'm there? I was taking a few breaks because I get tired easily. I will b moving my things out today, I paid for the month & I don't care about the rest of this month I've already paid for, u can keep it. Ill b moving my things elsewhere, where people aren't so rude. Robin was the only respectful person there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE PUTTING THEIR BELONGINGS IN ANY UNIT HERE!!! read more

This place was my first experience with a self storage business, and it was quite pleasant. I spoke with Noah on the phone before going to the property and he was incredibly patient and helpful with all of my questions. I work for a contracting business and we were needing a storage unit asap, for our guys to start moving things into. When I arrived, Noah unlocked the unit, and opened the gate for the guys to start moving into while I filled out paperwork. Based on the quality of customer service, convenience, and quick paperwork, (the office and grounds were also clean and presentable) I would 100% recommend. In my opinion, one of the best storage places in Auburn. The units and grounds are clean, rents are totally reasonable, office staff is polite, friendly and helpful, and gate access is a very generous 5am - 10:45pm every day. I have had a 10x20 unit with them for almost a year now. The unit is clean and dry and I've never had an issue with getting in and out.The only downside is that sometimes the office is closed while the staff shows someone around, but that's life in the storage biz. This place is horrible! I had a rat problem and all they did was nothing. I lost a lot a pictures and personal belongings from the rats pooping and peeing and chewing up my stuff. I cleaned out my storage out and asked the person at the counter where I should discard the rat poop and she just gave me a dirty look. She didn't even say sorry she just kept making up excuses. Never go here it's full of rats!!! read more

DO NOT STORE YOUR STUFF HERE !!!! Worst storage place ever over priced,and poor customer service have had are stuff here for alittle over two years to come one day and find all of our stuff invested with rat feces and urine boxes chewed up And everything reeks of animal urine Spoke to the manager about the situation. She told us since nothing was stolen there was nothing she could do said they could set up traps and check them everyday for us but that was all so I of course insisted on the insurance we are required to pay for I. Order to store are stuff she insisted the insurance did not cover that so what does the insurance cover? I get ahold of the insurance company they say we need to pull everything out of the unit take pictures of what is ruined and pics of the stuff before they were ruined we clearly don't have pictures of that considering we never planned on our stuff getting ruined Worst storage place ever would never recommend anyone to this place read more

I've been with these guys for almost 3 years now. They are the best storage place I've ever been at, and I've been at more than I can count!! These guys keep a really clean place!! I feel safe here. The security is great and the people in the office have always been really nice, kind and patient with me. They are really friendly and always have a smile for me. I've been in places where they never clean and it's awful. I've been to places where I don't feel safe myself, much less my stuff. This place is really good!!! Auburn way self storage is hands down the most affordable storage units around. I was originally going to store my items at Auburn Public Storage, The price was outrageous and They do NOT have security cameras monitoring the site?? How can you call yourself a safe storage facility if your storage unit is not monitored by a security system? Auburn Public Storage is a joke! I've been to the zoo and seen monkeys having crap throwing fights that were more organized than this place! It took 1 hour and 45 min for the women behind the counter to figure out where our unit would be and it was mistake after mistake. I truly felt for the woman behind the counter because it was clear she had not been properly trained. She was extremely kind but overwhelmed. My credit card was charged 3 times!! While waiting for her to process the paperwork, 3 separate families came into the office because their storage units were broken into in one night! I can not believe Public storage has no security cameras or people on site making sure your goods are secure? After waiting almost 2 hours and my card being charged 3 times, It was at that point I backed out and contacted Auburn Way Self Storage. A woman by the name of Kristy answered the phone and said come on down we have exactly what you are looking for and the process will be quick and easy. Once I pulled up to Auburn Way Self Storage I knew my personal items would be safe there. It was like a compound with security cameras everywhere. Great location too. Kristy was extremely accommodating and so kind. The process took about ten min. Not almost 2 hours of absolute chaos like public storage. Quick, easy and cheap! The property is clean and well kept up. If you are looking for a safe and cheap place to store your personal items. Do yourself a favor and go to Auburn Way Self Storage. Safe, clean and affordable!!!! The units are constantly monitored by security cameras and employees walking the grounds. Talk to Kristy, 100% accommodating, kind and adorable. I rented a unit for several months only to find a mice infestation in my furniture, rugs, etc. causing substantial property damage. The owner did call after I insisted I speak to him, but he stated it was not their liability. He did absolutely nothing to make it right and didn't offer to replace anything or refund any rent. I found my renter's insurance did not cover this type of damage. With being a struggling, single mother, most items in the unit were donated to me, so I can't afford to replace these items. This didn't seem to phase the management/owner. I will never rent from them again. They said they can't prevent mice because it's "a natural cause" but they could spray for insects. I am very disappointed in this situation. I rented a storage unit with the expectation of my belongings coming out of the unit in the same condition they were put in. The units lack cleanliness and the staff lacks care and concern for their tenants. read more
