Terrible communication. I almost changed my mind about them, but then was contacted by a…read more"supervisor" who was very responsive before the move. The originating move from Texas was fine. The trucker turned out to be a complete liar, which we learned when so much of our stuff was waterlogged. Good thing the movers at our final destination (Washington state) took video of water pouring into the truck in the rain. During the move into our new place I tried to get hold of Bellhop via phone (AI assistant- super annoying, didn't result in a call for 5-6 hours) and text. They completely dropped the ball. By a miracle, our stuff arrived in ok shape, even though the boxes were soaked. I only filed a claim for an expensive linen lampshade, even though we did end up with some scratches on the furniture. Just got back the claim result: they are offering me ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY CENTS. My annoyance and disgust with this company is very, very high. Awful.

Bellhop Moving is a deceptive brokerage (not a direct moving company) that intentionally…read moreunderquotes customers to lure them in, only to inflate charges by 350% or more after services are rendered. The kids they hire as "movers" are not professional or qualified movers, and they even admitted underquoting is standard practice for Bellhops. The company makes no effort to be transparent about pricing. They quoted me 4 hours to move a 750 sq. ft. apartment just 3 miles, with only one large furniture item (a 3-seat couch) and total possessions that filled only half a truck. The move ended up taking nearly 11 hours, and with all charges, the cost exceeded $3,000--an outrageous, predatory scam. When I reported these serious issues mid-move, Bellhop lied about sending help and never followed up. Post-move, they falsified documents sent to my credit card company, falsely claiming more movers were present and that I never complained -- despite extensive communications proving otherwise. The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has been trying to hold them accountable for years due to an overwhelming number of similar complaints (1.2-star rating, 131+ complaints), but the Attorney General office has not yet taken action. This company is a scam, a bait-and-switch operation, and a consumer nightmare. If you value your time, money, and sanity, hire one of the many alternatives to Bellhop Moving.

Todd put to rest any concerns I had about the stressful move from the downtown area to the suburbs. Somehow he was able to fit his truck in the city. He was kind enough to quote me the price of two movers and had three come which cut the moving time in half. The movers on his team were friendly and knowledgeable about the safest way to move my furniture. I highly recommend going with Access Gentle Moving if u are doing a small or large move. They truly take the task off ur hands!

I am extremely disappointed with my most recent move with Access Gentle Moving…read more I have been a loyal customer since 2020 and have used this company multiple times over the years. Unfortunately, this latest experience convinced me that this will be my last move with them. I was originally quoted $229 for a three-person crew. On the day of the move, a fourth crew member was added and the quote increased to $249 per hour. While I understand pricing can change when additional labor is added, this was communicated at the time of the move rather than in advance. The move itself was very straightforward: a one-bedroom apartment's worth of belongings from a storage unit to a new apartment only 1.6 miles away. When I discussed timing expectations with Todd, I was told there was no way the move could be completed in 1 to 1.5 hours with a four-person crew. What made this particularly frustrating was the amount of time spent in transit. I drove directly to the destination and arrived in approximately 8 minutes, while the moving truck took about 20 minutes. Coincidentally, Todd was also traveling separately and arrived at about the same time as the truck. The overall pace of the move felt unnecessarily slow, and what I believe could have comfortably been completed within 1.5 hours ended up taking 2 hours. The final cost was approximately $500 for a two-hour move with four crew members over a distance of only 1.6 miles. For the amount of work involved, I found this difficult to justify. The most disappointing part was what happened after the move. When I provided honest and respectful feedback to Todd regarding my concerns about the timing and cost, he became defensive and began arguing rather than listening to a long-time customer. At one point, the conversation shifted away from addressing my concerns and became unnecessarily dramatic and uncomfortable. In the end, I paid the bill in full because I was simply ready to move on. However, I left feeling that the trust I had built with this company over several years was no longer being honored. My advice to anyone considering this company is simple: get all quotes in writing, confirm crew size and hourly rates in advance, and have a very detailed discussion about expected timing and travel distance before the move begins. Otherwise, you may find yourself paying significantly more than expected. Todd, thank you for your service over the years, but please do not offer a refund. This is no longer about the money. I no longer have confidence in the service, and I genuinely regret choosing to work with your company for this move.

Although she was told that we did not need their services as we had already decided on another company she visited multiple times to hard sell her services. She would not take no for an answer and it was to the level of harassment. After she was told no for the final time, we received a call from Washington L&I regarding a call they received about improper asbestos-related work in our home. We had already tested the home to confirm that there was no asbestos related materials. This resulted in additional work and headache for us to refute this false report. During this disastrous time for me and my family, most of the people we have interacted with have been extremely helpful and understanding. It is unfortunate that there are some people out there who want to take advantage of our misfortune. I do not want an apology or any contact from your business. I want you to stop doing this to people, especially people who are trying to recover from a disaster. P.S. if you are an employee of this business, know that we have video monitoring of our property including of your visits. It will be difficult for you to pretend that you did not continue visiting our home even after you were told no repeatedly. I also filed an information request from the county to confirm the person who falsely reported us for having asbestos related work in our home. It was indeed someone from Superior Contents. These are people who retaliated against us after a natural disaster because we would not hire them when they showed up UNSOLICITED to our home.
