I waited, at 11:30 the car was just starting to be worked on. No update, no loaner vehicle offer, no notice that there was a delay. The gentleman told me "they were backed up, thanks for waiting" that's unacceptable to not inform the customer. This will be my first and LAST time at this dealer. Avoid avoid avoid!!! The service department is understaffed and could not care less about their customers (with the acceptation of Dylan Clay who got us back on the road after a long week). Customer Service Communication and proactive foresight is non-existent leaving the customer to constantly follow-up. When you do follow-up you get a rude response saying, "they will reach out if they receive some answers!" And then they go on vacation and do not contact you for days. The service department has a practice of charging you a pricy diagnostic fee even after completing thousands of dollars of work This is also the first Service Department at an Audi Dealership I have ever experienced that did not clean and wash your car when the service is done. At Audi Albany they tell you your car is ready for pickup but then ask if you want the car cleaned when they hand you the keys and the line is out the door when you come to pickup the car. Our car was returned with a dirty interior from the servicing. Avoid this Audi dealership. We will never buy a car from Audi Albany and have urged our friends and family to seek another dealership that does not cut corners in pursuit of revenue margins and takes the Audi brand and passion for service seriously read more

I brought my audi A6 here for a diagnostic because I couldn't figure out the problem by myself, I specifically had written down what was going on and what to check for which was a EVAP code and a whistle noise, after the whole process of it being inspected they said I needed a new leak detection pump which was already replaced, and then they never diagnosed the whistle noise and said I needed to pay another diagnostic fee to figure out what the whistle noise is. not a big fan on how they are running things around there And very disappointed in the overall service. read more

I previously had it to a very reputable mechanic for new tires and he told me exactly what was needed so I was well informed when I arrived. My Service Advisor came out and tried to sell me a package of all 4 brakes, pads, and rotors. I told him that I did not need front brakes, only the back ones and he said they recommend doing all 4 at once so I declined the service. o Do they always try to up-sell or was it because I was a woman? o When I got home I watched the video provided by the Technician working on my car and he recommended replacing the rear pads and rotors. o Where was the disconnect? o I have since had the rear brakes replaced by another reputable mechanic that I trust (and who also only charges $152/hr and it only took them 1.5 hours). Audi would have probably charged me double. * Service Almost Complete - disconnect I received a text message at 3:49 pm saying my service was almost complete. o I was already home sitting in my kitchen when I received this. * Email survey from Audi - never received * Service Reminder Indicator - I can't believe you charge people $65.70 to have this reset. How hard can it be to reset it? Of course you're going to have it done. I don't want to drive around for the next year with it telling me my car needs service. That should be a service you automatically provide to your customers. Needless to say, I am not (nor have I ever been) happy with Audi Service. The last time I was down there I told them not to wash the car. I just washed it and towel dried it the day before but it was done anyway. I feel like there's a total disconnect, I always feel like I'm not being listened to, I am being ripped off, and I am at the point where I just don't trust anything I am told. Each time I am down there I hear horror stories from other people waiting also. Everytime I bring my car here it has to come back for a second time cause they never appropriately fix the problem in the first place. The service department is very careless. Paying $220 for a diagnostic fee when your service techs can't even properly diagnose an absurd. I can in in Oct 2024 for my sunroof draining into my overhead lights. They told me my drains needed to be emptied and never thoroughly looked at my car. Now there is a class act lawsuit against my car and I once again have to pay for the diagnostics which is wild considering there is a lawsuit and I was in a year ago for the exact issue. I have a 2020 Q3 with a leaky sunroof which is a known problem and covered by an extended warranty. Audi Albany is refusing to fix it because they can't recreate the leak in the shop. Despite the fact that they send videos of inspections and other repairs, they mysteriously did not take a video of this "test.". Not only did they not fix it during my May visit, they charged me $236 to run the test and still didn't fix it, despite the warranty. They have also ignored numerous phone calls and emails, even when my car was in the shop. Try the dealer in Pittsfield instead--the service can't be worse. read more

Estimate labor to replace front right air shock was 3.5 to 4 hours on my 2018 S6 as per Audi guide which I thought was high to start with. Took 6 hours! Excuse was tech had trouble balancing front end and then in doing the alignment. Suspect he needs more training - or a push to work a little harder. At $219 per hour (!) feel I was overcharged and Audi still owes me $438. read more

Bought a 2019 Subaru legacy used back in February with 50k miles. I have driven it 5k miles so far but it already needs new brakes, rotors, wheel bearings, and control arms. I brought it in for issues with two leaking rear wheels after two weeks of owning it. It took two trips for them to identify the leaking rear wheels and repair them. It was sold to me in this state. I suppose it was my fault for trusting them when they told me that the road noise I was hearing during the test drive was the new tires. As part of the deal they were going to repair some scratches on the paint. Wishful thinking. Paint was just globbed on and most of the scratches weren't touched. Never again. Don't waste your time. Many years ago I went to Albany Audi looking at a Q5. The salesman was rude and demeaning to me. I left saying I would rather buy anywhere else and I did. After many years I figured maybe it was just that salesman and I sent an inquiry on a vehicle off their site. Someone called me before 9 am and I had not given my number. Must have googled it so I give them credit for trying hard. I asked several questions which the woman said she would have someone get back to me. No one did. Late in the day sent a note asking again. Got an apology and promise again that someone would reach out. Waited another day and still no response. Sent one more not asking if the car was gone or what. Again a response that it was still available and someone would contact. Two days later nothing. I can only surmise that since I asked for the out the door price they didn't want to deal with me. I also noted in one review a buyer stated that there is a required fee for nitrogen in the tires. If that is true, be very wary since I have read that is a well known markup that adds no value and is used to pad profit by less dealers. Do the Research read more

Anisa, at Albany Audi, was kind enough to fit me in for a safety inspection for my Tesla Model 3. They were recommended by the Tesla service center (who don't do inspections) as a service center who are knowledgeable about Tesla vehicles. Though the appointment took longer than anticipated, it was understandable as they we fitting me into their busy schedule. The inspection was completed thoroughly and my vehicle was delivered to me nicely washed. I feel like service departments can be a coin flip in terms of what you'll get but I had a great experience today. I should note that the visit started on a somewhat bad note. When I called for an appointment I said the car needed a 110k service (the service due light flicked on at 110k) and that I needed to wait for the car, but when I arrived the service person told me that 110k service isn't a suggested service but 115k service should be done instead which typically takes 3 1/2 hours. I wasn't ready for that so we talked through prioritizing different services. Once the car was on the lift it was suggested that the rear brakes be replaced and an alignment performed as well. I knew that I'd be driving a lot over the next few months and agreed to both. I was told it would take two hours to finish the job but it ended up being an hour and a half and came in slightly below the estimated cost. Faster service and lower cost!! The car is driving great; the alignment was definitely needed as I can feel the difference in the way the car drives. Finally, the waiting area is super clean, spacious and comfortable. If you need to wait a for a longer time there are several restaurants and big box stores (CVS, Lowes) close by so you can tick a few errands off your list while your car's being serviced. read more

I found the service department very pleasant, yet remarkably unimpressive. Were they nice? Yes. Did they give me a loaner car? Yes. Did they keep me updated with what was going on? No, they did not. It became incumbent upon me to call to find out what was going on. After a week or so, it felt like I should have gotten my car back. I called to inquire and learned that there had been an issue with the insurance that was holding things up. Is this something that could have been mentioned to me days earlier? Yes. After two-something weeks I was told the car was ready. It took me nearly an hour to get there. When I arrived, I was told it actually wasn't ready because it had been "a crazy day." They still needed time to test the car to make sure everything worked. They tested the car. Guess what? Not everything worked. I drove an hour back. I was told that because of the inconvenience, they'd drop the car off at my house. Three weeks after my initial drop-off, they called to tell me the car was ready. The offer to drop it off had apparently been forgotten. I didn't make an issue of it because I just wanted my car. A day after picking up my car I realized that my not-inexpensive built-in radar/laser detection system was not working properly. I mentioned this to my service rep, who said he'd ask some questions and get back to me. Did he get back to me? No. No, he didn't. A week later I got a speeding ticket because my radar detector no longer detects radar. I contacted the service rep about it. Did he reply? No, he did not. I've been a repeat customer to Albany Audi since 2019. I've purchased two Q5's. While I love the vehicle, my recent service was very unpleasant. I made an appointment over the phone for an oil change. I was informed my 40k mile service due. So, I went ahead and scheduled it. (Wed 9/27) I was informed it was a five hour service and a loaner vehicle was provided. I was grateful for that. I live an hour away from the dealership and waited around running errands etc. Six hours later, I receive a text that said: " Hello. Everything is going well with the vehicle. We are currently unable to perform the transmission service due to Audi being down today. Would you be able to leave the vehicle with us while you stay in the loaner, and we can get it completed tomorrow for you?" I responded that I could go home with the loaner and return tomorrow but I was disappointed for the late notice I could have gone home sooner. He did apologize and said he notified me as soon as he knew. The following day I was texted ((9/28 7:35 am) and informed: "Good morning. When we came in this morning, Audi is still down. You can stay in the loaner and I will reach out to you as soon as we have more information. Very sorry for the inconvenience." That was the last of the texting communication. On Fri 9/29 I called the Service Manager, Craig, and was told by a young woman he wasn't at his desk, and she took my information to have him return my call. I've never heard from him. Fast forward to Mon (10/2) Still no call from the Service Manager. So around 2:00 pm I called my salesman. He was professional and apologetic. He said he would look into it. Two hours passed and I texted him asking if something was going on with my vehicle. Had they broke something, or damaged it? He texts me back and said my vehicle was ready. He said service had a record of texting me Thur 9/28 that my vehicle was ready and could be picked up. Unfortunately, I never received that text. So, from Thursday 9/29 to Monday 10/2 no one noticed my vehicle was still there and I hadn't returned the loaner? That's ridiculous. I went today and paid for the service and picked up my vehicle. The service person never said a word, never apologized for the miscommunication etc. That was disappointing. And, after the inconvenience I received, you would think they could have at least washed my vehicle like they usually do. I'm very disappointed & dissatisfied. I've never had a problem in four years with the dealership. Sadly, I don't foresee me purchasing another vehicle in the future. Service has declined substantially. read more

I purchased a used 2018 VW GTI from Igor and the entire transaction was the smoothest I ever had buying a car. Igor was great and delivered on every promise. The dealership is beautiful and everyone I worked with on the day I picked it up was polite and professional. This dealership is beautiful and has a comfortable waiting area but also offers loaners. I've had my car serviced twice and will be back. I have never once had a negative experience with Audi Albany. I have been with them since back when they were Langan Audi East, and bought a 2010 Audi A4 in 2012. The process was smooth, the trade-in credit they gave me was even above market value, and the purchase process from start to finish was handled professionally. They even, at my request, removed the badging on the back and waxed and buffed the glue and grime off those areas, so it looked perfect upon my receiving the car (which came with a fantastic Certified Pre-Owned warranty). Then, in January of 2016, I purchased a brand new 2016 Audi S3, and the process from start to finish was once again a breeze. The salesman went through a full test-drive with me, and was knowledgeable and kind about answering my questions, so much so, that I simply put a deposit down on the car that day (even though I walked in unsure if I would buy a car at all). Since then I've had all my servicing done there. They give you an Audi as a loaner, go through everything each servicing entails, and even wash the car for you for free. The newly renovated service center is impeccably clean, and everyone I dealt with each time was kind, knowledgeable, and respectful during servicing. I really don't understand these negative reviews, as they've been nothing but professional and kind to me every time I've been there. They even gave me a free tire (and 19" tires ain't cheap my friends), an Audi embossed Continental ExtremeContact DWS06, because tires you buy from them come with free 12 month tire insurance, covering flats, nails etc. However, usually when you get a flat and they have to put on a new tire, they do charge just for the balancing, mounting, labor etc. They waived it all (a $90 savings) because they acknowledged that I was long-time loyal customer (who has spent a lot of money over the years there). I also had new brakes/rotors put on my 2016 S3 in January 2019, and they kindly threw in a $125 credit on the brake/rotor change, since the car was already there having its 65K service done. As an aside, when I bought my 2016 S3, I also bought the servicing package, which I was skeptical about at the time, but it has since proved to be well worth it, saving me thousands vs. paying for a service each time one was due (a major service without the package can run nearly $1,200 each without the package)!! Every single member of their service team could not be nicer, and the two salesmen I dealt with were also great. Both even gave me their personal numbers to contact them if I ever had questions. The salesman on my 2016 Audi S3 even called me out of the blue about 6 months after I bought the car just to make sure I was fully satisfied with everything. I've done servicing through a number of mileage checkpoints, as well as getting a new set of tires put on and brakes etc., and have always been fully satisfied. One or two good experiences might be outliers, but a dozen great ones are not. I recommend Audi Albany to all my friends interested in buying an Audi. read more

My husband and I are from the Albany area but currently live in Boston. I had taken our A3 to Audi Peabody near us on a Wednesday after our tire kept losing pressure. After 10mins, the tech said he couldn't find any leaks or issues with the tire and just shut off the alert. I told him there had to be a nail or something because we filled it back up twice and still kept getting the alert. But he didn't listen and sent me on my way. Now it's Friday and we are driving to Albany to see some family for the weekend. Well, guess what? The tire pressure alert came back on! We drive straight to Audi Albany in Latham and they were absolutely amazing! Marcie was a DOLL! So nice, so professional and SO helpful! They were pretty busy, but she was able to get our tire looked at right away. Their tech ended up finding a nail! Like I had said! He was even able to plug it so we didn't end up needing an entirely new tire. We were in and out after about an hour. Marcie is the MVP! read more

Audi Albany broke a coolant return line on my S5 during a routine service (oil and plugs) resulting in a catastrophic loss of engine coolant shortly after the vehicle was returned. The original service included inspection of the coolant system ($829.84). Therefore, either the service work was not done or the work was done negligently. Audi Albany then refused to pay for their mistake and blamed it on the age of the vehicle. I would never recommend taking a car for service at this location. TL;DR - Dealership broke my car and made me pay for it. read more
