Fourth time bringing my car in, spent over $7k in a month and they keep not fixing what I asked them to fix (I ended up breaking down in the middle of nowhere), saying I need other things, breaking new things, they won't provide any customer service bc they don't text back, I spent thousands and they didn't even wash my car. Horrible dealership not luxury at all do not bring your car here. Other acura dealerships are not like this. Unfortunately the Latham location is the one I live near now, and I have to keep going back to have them fix the problems they made, but after this I will never go here again. read more

I try to do as much of my own work on my car as possible; But when my 2002 Acura RL needs major service, I always bring it here. Robert Mcgrath is my go to guy for scheduling service and he always returns my calls ASAP. The maintanence crew there has replaced my timing belts, water pump, and every pulley that goes with it. They source parts that I have almost zero chance of finding myself; And if I bring my own OEM parts they always offer to allow me to keep my old parts. I am having the steering rack replaced now, and I have full faith the crew here will knock it out of the park. Honest, reliable people. I cannot be more grateful. read more

Danielle and Steve both must be selling car after because I couldn't even get a bill of sale written for bank until 3 days later. After all of the runaround, I proposed $500 less for the vehicle to which Steve said NO only to list the vehicle for $500 less one week later. I signed a purchase agreement almost a week ago and still don't have my vehicle. They say my lender did not pay them and my lender said they sent payment two days ago. Not sure what to think about who is at fault but this has been the most difficulty I've ever had in purchasing a vehicle. Went down there for a NY car inspection. The service guy told me the inspection didn't pass because the rusty rotors and gave me about $1500 pre-tax quote for 4 rotor and break replacement. I was so shocked to hear that since I didn't feel anything wrong when I drive and usually I stay on top of taking care of car maintenance. And the replacement price was just outrageously high. So scrubbed head to get a solution and ended up buying parts from Amazon and finding a trustable mechanic to put the new ones on. However, the mechanic person told me his truck passed the inspection with the same condition of rotors w/o any problem. But since I already purchased the rotor and mechanic person already took the wheels out, I decided to let him go ahead to put on the new rotors and breaks. But this replacement totally could be waited and inspection could be totally passed if I went to somewhere else for inspection. What a dishonest practice! read more

My husband and I went to Northeast Acura to check out a used jeep they advertised on line. lots of pictures, good description, so we gave them a call to make sure it was on the lot and then decided to take a ride there to see it in person. If you're going to buy a used car there you enter into this beautiful showroom, and then take you down some dirty back hallway to where they sell the used cars. The salesman gave us the keys and we took it for a ride - we never even left the lot. The V-6 shook and shimmied and made awful noises. My husband said that he figured the car was actually firing on either 4 or 5 out of the 6 cylinders. When he said something to the salesman his response was "well, we weren't sure if we were going to sell it, wholesale it or send it to auction". Why would you even let someone test drive a vehicle like that? shows poor customer service and a lack of integrity. read more

My spouse recently brought her vehicle in for routine maintenance. She was told that she needed front brakes and was quoted $700 for the work. I then brought her vehicle to a shop near our home and the mechanic told me that her brakes were around halfway worn and would not need work for quite a while. If your vehicle is under warranty, you will be ok, but if not watch out. When I bought an off lease vehicle from this dealership some years ago and I never brought it to this place. I knew better. Tried every way possible to get the service department to respond to try to schedule service since purchasing an MDX in 2019. Never could get through--had to go to another dealer for service. Then, three weeks ago, some young sales guy called me desperate to pursue buying my car. I explained my bad feelings about this dealer, he apologized on their behalf (nice gesture), promised he would NEVER behave that way and now has been MIA for 3 weeks. Fantastic buying experience. Salesperson, Shane K. was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the brand and, importantly, the specific details of the vehicle I purchased. The environment was low key. Very nice waiting area. Clean and quiet. There were cubicles and desks which would allow you to work a bit if waiting. They provide snacks and beverages and everyone was super nice. I see several negative reviews here. I can't speak for those folks, but I do know they were very clear regarding warranty and limits. They also disclosed the service rates, etc. Based on that information, I purchased an extended warranty. The car is beautiful. I love all of the safety features and really enjoy driving the vehicle. I tested most mid-size sedans and the TLX was simply the best. read more

A big nope for me. (a very unsatisfactory dealer and used vehicle purchase attempt) I went there interested in a couple used vehicles - both were advertised with clean bills of health and priced accordingly. Both vehicles while on their lot for at least a couple weeks - and available for test drive, were unclean at best, certainly not detailed, and the one was just disgusting. I ended up bringing one of the vehicles to my mechanic and he informed me that the vehicle had some extensive body work done, was missing some shielding, and the shielding in place was done so with zip ties (not bolts) - mind you, the carcheck report did not indicate this, nor did the dealer make any mention of it. All factors would indicate to me that management is hugely lacking, and that the staff (while personable and eager to accommodate you) are compensating for poor management, lack of attention to detail, and that excuses and misinformation are the norm. Even if they offered the vehicle to me at cost - I wouldn't trust what I'm getting ... Shout out to Jill - the sales rep that I at least felt was doing the best with what she was given. Christian was absolutely wonderful to work with in sales. However, that was just the tip of the iceberg for this whole process which has been truly terrible. - I was not told about three issues about my certified preowned car until I went to the dealership to pick it up. Nothing was mentioned in the week and a half negotiation process. My car has been at Northeast Acura for what will nearly be 2 weeks by the time I pick it up. For the total time I've owned the car, it's been in the shop more than I've owned it. - I had Firestone perform a new car check on the vehicle, and they found yet another issue, that was somewhat obvious, that Northeast Acura failed to tell me about. - All of these issues are listed in the "150 point vehicle inspection" they claim to perform on all certified pre-owned vehicles. So they missed 4 pretty obvious issues. Just wow. - When I picked up the loaner, it REAKED of weed. I had to return it two days later for a new loaner. - Every time I call the service department, because if I don't I wouldn't know the status of the vehicle, they say it's going to be more time. I dropped the vehicle off on a Saturday and this started as "it should be done mid-week" and it's now turning into two weeks. - Part of the reason the repairs are taking so long is due to parts, which I get. However when making the service appointment over a week and a half out, I told them they were going to need to order a part for the navigation system issue. The service rep talked over me and insisted it was an update issue with the software. Since Christian and I performed the update before I drove the vehicle off the lot, I knew it wasn't a software issue. If the service rep actually listened to me, they wouldn't have needed to wait for the part. - I got a bill in the mail about registration fees for the brand new registration when it was made clear we would be transferring plates from one vehicle to another. The registration fees were $100 more than they should have been. read more

Wow. I had a long, detailed review that was completely removed for reasons I am unaware of. I know my review is still up on multiple other sites. Let me summarize by saying that I bought a used car, and had two separate instances where the salesperson said one thing, and another thing was done. The car was purchased after seeing two of the three keys. When it was delivered, the third key was a remote key that was completely broken. It was only after conversations with the sales manager that they begrudgingly fixed it. Years later I found out the warranty I was told would be five years long was only three years long, and had to pay out of pocket to have a starter motor fixed elsewhere. My receipt only listed the warranty as CNA Premium with no term. Buyer Beware! I would go elsewhere for any car purchasing or repair needs, used or new, luxury or otherwise. read more

Personally I think all dealerships are a bit slimy, so you have to be a smart consumer going in otherwise you are going to get screwed. Review- Our overall experience purchasing a car from Northeast Acura was very enjoyable. The test drives were NOT with a salesperson, there wasn't a pressure filled atmosphere, and the salesman was about as knowledgeable as they get (which is to say reasonably so). They were friendly enough, honest as dealerships can be, and service oriented. Our new car walk-through was rather nice, inside in heated garage area. The only negative was being asked to fill out feedback forms right in front of the salesman. That is always awkward. Even more awkward when he then questions you on it immediately. My car sustained paint chipping on the hood and damage during routine maintenance (oil change and brake fluid flush/change) but I didn't notice it right away. I was sent by NE Acura to a body shop to have an estimate done by "their guy". He explained to me how it must have happened. $2300 was the estimate to fix it. NE Acura's service manager said, and I quote "I don't agree with him and we don't take responsibility for this." They are the ONLY place I take my car for servicing. Never again. read more

I have a 2012 Acura MDX, AWD with Tech Package. I've been working on cars for the past 30-odd years and do most of my own routine maintenance. Recently my gas mileage declined and the car developed a very specific symptom -- at extreme lock of the steering wheel, I could feel a rhythmic vibration. This can be caused by several things, but is often a bad CV joint. Thinking that it might need a repair covered by the powertrain warranty (6 years/70k miles), or at least a repair requiring specific Acura parts, I scheduled an appointment with Northeast Acura. The service writer called a few hours after I dropped off the car to report that my problem was in fact severely corroded brake calipers -- something I hadn't even considered due to the relative youth and low mileage (47k) of the car. At this point, I made a terrible mistake. I should have had Northeast Acura do the minimum work necessary to clean up the corrosion and return the car. But they had the car, and I needed it repaired quickly. So I authorized them to clean it up and replace the pads and rotors. The resulting charges were, in a word, outrageous. The entire job ran to over $1,600. I've done brake jobs more than once. As a driveway mechanic, using the average home mechanic's tools, I could do this job in an afternoon. Northeast Acura charged $675 for labor. While this was probably based on a rate book, it still seems excessive. With the quality of facility and tools they have, I'd be surprised if they put much more than a few hours of actual work into this. The item that truly infuriates me was the $147 charge to flush and refill the braking system. This used to be a time consuming job, but these days even a home mechanic uses pressure or vacuum to push or pull clean fluid through the system and force air out. It only takes one person of fairly limited skill (i.e. someone like me) to do it. Google "Motive Power Bleeder" and you'll see what I mean. With this $60 home mechanic's tool, flushing and refilling the system is a one-person, one-hour job. I'd love to know how much time and effort it takes in a well-equipped, multi-million-dollar garage. That said, Northeast Acura is consistent -- their parts charges are just as ridiculous as their labor charges. If I were doing this job myself I would probably use high quality aftermarket parts, such as Brembo rotors and Akebono pads. These cost less than the factory Acura parts, which are overpriced. I'd expect to pay somewhere between $400 and $500 for pads and rotors. The factory pads and rotors, from an actual Acura dealer, seem to run about $600 to $650 online. Yet Northeast Acura provided the parts for this job at the low, low price of only $852. All in all, this job probably cost twice what it could have, had I bought quality parts and taken them to a reputable independent mechanic. I am not blameless. I should have known better. Northeast Acura has a number of one-star reviews, each of which was probably well deserved. But I took my car there anyway, and I got what I should have expected. That is to say, I got screwed. So I'm unhappy. And angry. But, truth be told, I'm not all that surprised. The sad part is, I like my MDX. It's really a pretty good car, and it's been fairly reliable. But as long as I might possibly need dealer service, and as long as Northeast Acura is our local dealer, there's no way on This Green Earth that I would ever buy another one. I don't usually post Yelp reviews, so there's a good chance this review won't make it past their recommendation software. And you're probably an adult, so you don't need me to make decisions for you anyway. But if you asked me for my advice, I'd tell you this: avoid Northeast Acura like the plague. read more

I was a 20+ year customer of Acura- this would have been my 5th Acura car. Went in to trade in my old RDX for a new one. I don't know if it was because I was a female alone but they did not take me seriously. Test drove a car, was very interested. They lowballed my trade in( which was in prime condition) when I countered they did not come back. Walked out and went to BMW in Latham the next day and am now driving a BMW. An hour before Im supposed to come and sign papers to buy it..THEY SOLD IT! this is the most disrespectful low budget thing on earth! they played around with me. First,they told me it was sold. I said "ok,fine". Even though its advertised on their site as "not sold". Than i get 3 missed calls from them on my cellphone. They left me a voice mail saying its not sold and its their mistake for not looking into it. So even after that I agreed that they can reserve the car for me. This is the only Acura dealer in the area so I have had to use them for service appointments. They consistently disappoint. It is easier to win the lottery than get a routine service appointment. I can never reach a live person via phone. I leave messages and email them requesting an appointment. This time around it's been 3 voicemails and 2 emails. All with no success. I am trying to give them my business and yet it's clear they could care less. Thankfully my car is doing well. I don't know what I would do if I had a serious issue. They can and should do better by its customers. If they can't handle the volume of callers or requests, they should hire more people. read more

The negative reviews seem to support our experience when we went to look at a used car that we had seen online. My husband explained that we were interested in the car they had on their lot, but we were also looking at the same car at Latham Ford. We didn't want to waste time, we were clear on that. The initial question to the salesperson was, the price is $18,000 what can you do on that? The salesman said he would check with the manager and be right back to him. 15 minutes later he returned with a printout of the $18,000 price broken down by payments for 24, 36, 48 and 60 months. Thanks, but we were paying in cash. Annoyed that he wasted our time, realizing that we didn't want to deal with someone that is disingenuous, we left and drove down the road to Latham Ford. We worked with Owen, who was a delight. We met the sales manager, also a delight. We were there less than an hour got the car under the book value, took the financing, which was a better deal than pulling our money from an interest bearing account and will have the car in two days. Northeast Acura called the house today. They want us to call them back. They've wasted enough of our time, but if I were to call them back, I'd suggest that Northeast Acura should take a lesson from Latham Ford. service department is horrible. When having my brakes fixed they cut into my recently replaced ball joint. The ball joint work was done by my local guy...I drove off the lot and called immediately when I heard a strange noise... the service guy said that was normal after having brakes repaired. I took the car back to my local mechanic and he took off the ball joint he had replaced 4 months earlier and showed me the large slice in the ball joint. The dealership wouldn't do right and I was stuck forking out money for new ball joint...Beware of this place. They also sold me a certified car that had many things wrong with it in addition to two old tires....very bad... read more

Disconcerting visit to Northeast Acura today! When the service advisor reviewed the multipoint inspection sheet with me, he advised that the technician noted that I needed a brake flush, huh I thought to myself. I asked are you sure, he replied yes, I said if you look in the system I had a brake flush a few months ago. He looked in the computer, and sure enough, I had a brake flush on 3/4/18, a difference of 4022 miles between visits. I question this, and the service advisor and the manager conclude that it must have been a clerical error. Maybe, however, this doesn't inspire confidence that I'm not being "scammed" every time I take my car there. Was the fluid even changed the first time? Did the tech check it the second time? Am I being charged for services that I don't need? All questions that I asked myself leaving the parking lot, a little ticked off after spending $603.29 today, and $223.50 in March. read more

I have to say it was by far the nicest car buying experience I have ever had. Our saleswoman Dawn C. was so nice and likeable and was immediately like an old friend. She was the only prepared salesperson we had seen in days of shopping - she had the price sheet on her to be able to help us find cars in our price range as well as her business card in her pocket. I cannot stand it when I have to wait around a dealership for the sales person to find their price sheet or their card or just lure you into their cubicle trying to stall you and ultimately waste your time... When we had returned and Dawn was not there yet another young lady was quick to help us out and she was very sweet as well - pretty much everyone we interacted with were truly polite friendly professional people. The used cars they sell at Northeast Acura are basically their own trades and they price them very fairly. We couldn't find a better deal - and almost a month later I still haven't seen a better price than we got on our Ford Edge. The showroom is a very comfortable inviting space and my husband was thrilled to find that they not only offered him a cold soda but a snack tray as well! After my purchase the service department was more than accommodating when I was hearing an annoying clicking coming from my drivers seat (I really thought they would think I was nuts!) But sure enough they were diligent and I couldn't be happier with my nice quiet ride... Recommend highly! read more

If I was able to, I would score my experience with Northeast Acura at a zero. I went in for a test drive on 11/25/15. On my test drive, I talked with Shane (a salesman) about the price, the tire pressure light being on, where the buttons were for the heated seats was (three ads stated the car came equipped with heated seats) and my interest in the car. I was told that numerous people were interested in the car but yet it still sat in the lot. I was told to look up the button placement in the manual but wasn't given the opportunity to. I always thought that the sales associates should be knowledgeable about the car they are trying to sell, maybe I was wrong. After the test drive, I was shown a Carfax history report and asked to sign paperwork to get the car. I wanted to talk with my boyfriend about the car so I said I'd make a decision over the weekend. I was asked to put down a holding fee because I wouldn't be back in until 11/30/15. I paid the fee and left. On 11/27/15, I got three calls from Sondra in their financing department trying to push me into the sale. She told me to come on in so they could get me into my new car. She told me that someone was interested in the car and asked if I was serious about my interest. Since I was working that day (Shane was aware I had to work on 11/27/15 which is why I said I'd return on 11/30/15) I was unable to "run on over," but told them I was interested in the car or I wouldn't have put down a $500 holding fee. Sondra asked if they could start looking at financing options for me, I said she could but I was not sold on the price of the car and stated that I was going to be talking to Shane about it on 11/30/15 and that I'd be there some time after 10 am. On 11/30/15, I get to the dealership around 11:30 am and was berated by Shane for not being there "on time." I reminded Shane that I had not given him a set time and had said I would be in some time after 10 am. Shane acted dismissive and irritated. When I mentioned the price of the car being too high, Shane asked why I never mentioned it on 11/25/15. I reminded him that I had said the price was too high and he told me that I had already put down a deposit so that told him I was OK with the price. I reminded him that I had only paid a refundable holding fee, Shane told me that it was actually a deposit and that holding fees didn't exist! I stated that I hadn't signed anything saying I agreed to the price and told him that the lower the price would help guarantee financing offers. Shane told me that I had been approved by a bank and said he didn't know why I was questioning my eligibility for a loan because Sondra already told me I was approved for financing, I was never given this information. I decided to weigh my options about having to deal with the bullshit of another dealership and decided that I didn't need the extra stress and hassle. After I was told that the price was set in stone, I decided I would be able to work with it and signed everything that was needed to get the car. I got out to the area where my new car was parked and I asked Shane about why the tire indicator light was still on, I was told it couldn't be turned off. Shane ignored me when I asked him to show me where the heated seat buttons were and walked away when I asked about the shuddering in my car when I pushed the push start ignition button. My boyfriend stated that he felt the shuddering was due to a loose motor mount and told me to keep an eye on it. The worst dealership! I would of rather spent an extra $5k and bought my Jeep elsewhere. I purchased a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee from them, the sale went well and smoothly. However the following morning I noticed two dents along the edge of the windshield and there was a bunch of touch up paint, rust starting and paint flaking that I obviously didn't notice when I was looking the vehicle over and test driving. So I immediately texted the salesman Dan and got no response, naturally. I drove straight up after work with the title to the Jeep that I traded in, in hand and asked if they could have the damage repaired because it was in a bad spot and it's already rusting, next thing you know my windshield will be leaking. Dan met with me took a look at it and then went and spoke with Mark his manager and when he came out he said they would take care of it and hook me up with something to drive in the mean time. I was so happy I told him I wanted to hug him this is the larges purchase I have ever made. Finally 10 days later I got tired of waiting for a phone call and decided to call them and they said they needed another week now I bought a used vehicle and it doesn't come with much of a warranty so I feel they wanted to chew up as much time as possible. When I called and spoke with Mark I let him know there was also a couple of things I wanted them to look at I told him there's a ring of rust in the center of the break rotor where the pad makes contact on the LR, there was also a pice of plastic trim missing on the back of the steering wheel and the close button didn't work for the rear hatch. All simple things for a professional business one would think. When I finally was alone to drop the vehicle off I met with on of there service guys and he took down the information regarding the things I wanted look at. Additionally there is a scratch that I requested to be fixed and I would pay the difference if possible. The service representative said someone would take a look into it all and give me a call, well know one called.... until Dan called and said it was done. I asked did you guys take a look at those other thing and his response was I don't know but it is done now, mind you I am currently working double time and had to leave work early to go get the vehicle. Of course when I got there and met with Dan and it was not done and still had dirt and grime all over it from the wet sanding and body work. At that point I I asked to speak with Mark again. When I spoke with him he asked what my issue was like he didn't know...and when I asked him where the information that I gave the service department he said he didn't have any clue. He then went out to take a look at the vehicle himself then comes back in and tells me he fixed my button so I asked him to show me how so we went out to the vehicle and he manages to pop the access cover off with his hands and says the plug was loose but he then started breaking and bending over my clips trying to put the panel on at the same time I happened to notice someone pulled half of the back panel out and never properly put it back in and never fixed the weather stripping around the door so I fixed with the manager watching. The best part about the whole situation was the body work it was horrible there were scratches in the body filler, that's right body filler and painted over like a 5 year old. At that point he agreed to have it redone because it looked so bad. The following day I call to ask them what bodyshop they use and used for my Jeep and of course both Dan and Mark are off so I spoke with Chris another manager and of course know one in the building can find out what bodyshop they use, according to Chris they only use the best but they use many different bodyshops so he's not sure which one but yet the body work they did was horrible enough for the Mark to admit and have it redone. Oh and Chris also told me that they don't normally do repairs after a purchase specially on used vehicles because you never know what happens after the person pulls off the lot and I'm lucky they even said they would fix the dent, not his exact words but that's what he said in a general way, so be warned make sure you find everything before hand!!! On top of all of this they also first decided they were going to transfer my plates than changed there minds they were going to give me new plates so more or less there was 3 different changes on my insurance in a matter of a couple days and if they would of asked me if I wanted to wait one day to keep my plates and for my registration to renew I wouldn't of had to run around mailing plates in and I wouldn't be getting charged an extra $150 for my first insurance payment. I just can't believe such a large dealership could be so disorganized and so unprofessional it's absolutely sad and I would be embarrassed to work there.
