    I highly recommend Audi Boise. It was my best car buying experience by far. I decided I wanted an RS3 since the 5cyl engine seems to be an endangered species. I started cold calling dealerships all over the country and was getting a similar story in terms of price - it was either going to be so much over MSRP that I wasnt interested - or they only sold at MSRP and it was going to be a four year wait at which time the RS3 is likely an electric or hybrid vehicle. Audi Boise offered me a great price on a potential allocation (a reasonable position on a wait list that I was expecting to take around 9-12 months), for a small deposit. This was around mid July. My sales guy Nathan Lloyd was absolutely amazing. He had my specs in the back of his head and about a month later when something that was effectively the same car became potentially available he got in touch, and was able to move my deposit over to that vehicle. Then it was a matter of waiting for it to arrive from Germany. I took delivery of my 24' RS3 in the last days of September. The pickup was smooth and easy. I flew in from out of town to do it. The negotiations had occurred effectively in the first minute of my cold call, and were exactly as we had discussed. Nathan made the process of getting setup and acclimated to the vehicle easy and smooth. Again - I owe a huge thanks to Nathan Lloyd for not only being able to get me into one of these cars at all, but this quickly and at a fantastic price - it was easily my best car buying experience. Everyone there was excited for me and could not have been more kind. I highly recommend.

    I was in market to buy a new Audi Q7. My salesperson Lee Schel was a very knowledgeable and respectful person. We went for a test drive and he explained me all the features of the car very well. He went above and beyond to help me on my old car trade-in and explaining me the price breakdown. He and his manager even helped me search for the lender and made sure I get the lowest APR. Just an amazing buying experience. Kudos to Lee!! Everyone at Audi Boise treated me with respect and care. Thank you!!

    BLUF: Do not buy or have a car serviced by this dealer. See the guys at the Quattro shop for Audi service. I had been receiving recall notices from Audi to contact my dealer to get my Takata airbag replaced in my 2012 Audi A3, so I called Audi Boise to schedule the service. The person I talked to suggested that we allow a couple of weeks to make sure the part arrived. Yesterday I called Audi and asked if the part was in fact available to make sure I didn't waste a trip and was told yes, the part was ready. This morning I arrived and the service rep, Donna, told me that they aren't even doing airbag recalls on A3s yet, as if I should have known this. Audi USA told me to contact my dealer for service, the dealer scheduled the service and then confirmed it to me, then proceeded to waste 2 hours of my day. I went to speak to the manager (Darrin, introduced himself as the GM) and told him what was going on and all I got from him was a "Yeah, I see what you mean" as opposed to an apology or a "How can we make this right for you?" This isn't my first run in with Donna - in February I had a door lock go faulty and took it to Audi Boise to fix it. Audi Boise charges an outrageous $124 "diagnostic fee" on top of any actual work (plus will chip you for a "shop charge" which was explained to me as covering the cost of gloves and paper towels). I grudgingly accepted that and when the time came to pick up the car, Donna told me that I needed a door control module for the door lock, that they'd performed the airbag recall (they had not actually done the work and it said in the notes that the parts were not available, would be available in April, which we now know was another lie), and then gushed over all of the services they were "recommending", including a cabin air filter replacement at $62 + parts (it takes less than 5 minutes to change this out, which I'd done about a month earlier) and a tire rotation, which was curious because the tires were recently mounted within the last 1000 miles. Donna told me I had to purchase the part separately from their service department (which was weird), and the price seemed very high. I did a search and found I could buy the exact same OEM part for HALF of what Audi Boise was quoting. I ended up taking the car to The Quattro Shop. The kicker? They told me (without charging me $131.89 to diagnose it) that there was nothing wrong with the part Audi Boise charged me to diagnose, but rather a different component was bad. I ended up getting the correct part at a lower price, and even adding Audi's diagnostic fee to the total bill, the Quattro shop was cheaper by half than having the work done by Audi. If you're into paying for a lot of add-on services that you probably don't need, by all means Audi Boise is the place for you. If you want your car to actually get fixed, look elsewhere.

I'm now down to two potential vehicles I'm looking for. I decided to swing by my mechanic shop since it was only a few blocks down the road and check and see if anyone had advertised a used car for sale on their Bulletin board. Sadly, they no longer have that wonderful bulletin board! When I mentioned the type of car I was looking for one of the guy said he saw one on a car lot near Fairview and Mitchell but didn't know the name of the lot. Well, I rolled into a few lots before I found it! I was totally bummed the vehicle I was searching for it sold yesterday. I would've bought it in a hot second. So, this review does not include my experience with the actual purchase process but I'm giving them five stars because it was such a pleasant experience especially compared to a few other places I i've gone to. Jeremy was kind and attentive and for the first time in a long time was actually willing to keep an eye out for specific vehicles and call if one comes up for sale. I have asked at least five other sales people at other dealerships the same thing and never received a follow up call. They often only go through the motions of taking my number and clearly aren't listening to what I am looking for Jeremie was very familiar with the details of the two vehicles I'm looking for and understood exactly why I was looking for them. I loved feeling confident that if they could get their hands on one that I would get a call. I'm not in any rush unless my 30+ year old car breaks down and is unrepairable (I do love it but parts are hard to come by!) Extra bonus points: I actually got a straight answer on financing in advance of even having identified a car. Hopefully I can get my hands on a GX 470 since I've been lusting over them for 10 years now. first time I've ever left the car lot feeling happy and hopeful! I'm looking forward to riding a great review on the purchase process.

They could see previous codes had been cleared, and Adam refused to do anything to help, never denied that he had cleared all codes, and then tried to get me to use "his mechanic " at a discounted rate. He told me it had a full 320 point inspection that came back perfect exceot for the battery wich he replaced, and a broken door lift cable. Read the reviews, I wish I had, apparently this is pretty common for cars coming off his lot. Stay far away.

Well on our way through boise a couple weeks later I try to stop by and get it looked at by Adam's auto mechanic and we were told another day! So a month goes by and we head through a car wash finally!! And water starts pouring through the ceiling in multiple places!!! It ruins stuff our personal belongings! So I had enough I call Adam's auto and take it over, well after me driving a couple hours from home to Boise I get to Adam's auto I tell him about the engine and the water again! So he takes it to his mechanic, after a ten hour long day of me just sitting in his dealership he finally brings it back and says "ya your going to need to replace the engine and use your warranty"! The warranty I purchased at Adam's auto only covers a fraction of this mess! Well I said I thought I had 30 days after I bought it and you guys will take care of it! Adam told me that it's been longer than 30 days: I told Adam no I called the salesman at Adam's auto a couple weeks after purchase about a certified mechanic saying it needs a new engine and looks like there was fowl play. Adam didn't even mention the waterfall that poured in on us going through the car wash and ruining a tablet and my wife's shoes! Other than the smiles and smirks Adam had when i was telling him about it. Any way, Adam sent me on my marry way! And I feel so screwed over, all I can think about is that movie Matilda and her crooked dad reversing the mileage and doing all that crazy shit to vehicles just to get a sale. We are such down to earth people and try to be decent. I know it's now been months later but I just have to speak up! Just to clarify I told Adam about the torn out screen and over filled oil and the water pouring, the smirks and laughs and "no ways" we got from him as a reaction. Look somewhere else!

George the owner lied to me and told me that a vehicle was reserved for me pending inspection, told me to call him Friday. Made the appointment for inspection. Friday comes around and I call back like George told me to and George is MIA. Neil made everything complicated and went against what George told me. Then they say the vehicle that was reserved for me pending inspection sold. George lied through his teeth and Neil was a very rude and made everything difficult. Probably won't get my dream car in time now. They made a grown man cry. Avoid these liars and this dealership they have no integrity. Edit - Gary is lying in his reply. Neil refused to let me do a deposit.

My daughter called me to tell me that she was going to see a car at Auto Star Motors and her appointment was with Steve. My "Spidey Sense" was tingling and I was on a Star Trek "Red Alert". I did a Google search, followed by some review of the model and make on Kelly Blue Book, then to Car Fax. I was prepared for the showdown. We arrived on time and let Steve finish with his previous appointment. The office is clean, neat, professional looking. We didn't get that sleazy used car dealer feeling which was a positive first impression. The car, a Subaru Crosstrek looked good and we took it for a drive in the chilly December evening. I talked to my daughter and asked what type of down payment was she going to propose. She had a plan but I was still on the defense. So many stories of customers getting screwed from used cars dealers and I have had my own personal experiences with my brother in law right here in Boise. We get back and it's time for 'Let's make a deal' The good news is that the car looked and performed well. The car fax info matched what I saw online earlier and the price was good. My daughter's trade in was on its last two wheels but Steve wanted to check it out and after his test drive, I was thankful he was still alive. He was more than up front and generous with trade in value of her car and she had some cash to put down. While I was feeling a little better about Auto Star Motors and Steve, I wasn't completely convinced. I showed Steve some of the Yelp reviews and I wanted him to provide some context. He was very transparent throughout which I appreciated. It was at that point that I told my daughter that even though I was feeling better about this whole process that she would wait until she had some more money for a down payment. I explained to Steve why I felt that and my overall concern for my daughter. It was at this point that we talked like two Dads sitting at a coffee shop. He was open, genuine and reassuring. Not once did I feel that we were getting bamboozled. I relayed my concerns and trepidations and Steve was receptive and made the efforts to understand my concerns and assured me that my daughter would be taken care of. I went home to get to the title for her jalopy aka death trip and returned back at the office. The financing was done through Capital One and my daughter knows that if she has any issues she can bring the car back to Steve and his team at Auto Star I purposely waiting to do this review almost 30 days to see how the car performs and to make sure that there weren't any issues. I'm glad to report that there hasn't been a single issue with the car or with Auto Star Motors. The experience with Steve was not a battle that I prepared for but instead was two guys who had a common goal of making sure that my daughter was safe and not getting a bad deal. Thanks Steve for making my daughter's first car shopping experience a positive one. You earned the 5 Stars.
