Needed maintenance on my car on a recall. Seriously, considering purchasing a new vehicle when I went in. That will never happen now at this dealership. I highly recommend Audi Boise. It was my best car buying experience by far. I decided I wanted an RS3 since the 5cyl engine seems to be an endangered species. I started cold calling dealerships all over the country and was getting a similar story in terms of price - it was either going to be so much over MSRP that I wasnt interested - or they only sold at MSRP and it was going to be a four year wait at which time the RS3 is likely an electric or hybrid vehicle. Audi Boise offered me a great price on a potential allocation (a reasonable position on a wait list that I was expecting to take around 9-12 months), for a small deposit. This was around mid July. My sales guy Nathan Lloyd was absolutely amazing. He had my specs in the back of his head and about a month later when something that was effectively the same car became potentially available he got in touch, and was able to move my deposit over to that vehicle. Then it was a matter of waiting for it to arrive from Germany. I took delivery of my 24' RS3 in the last days of September. The pickup was smooth and easy. I flew in from out of town to do it. The negotiations had occurred effectively in the first minute of my cold call, and were exactly as we had discussed. Nathan made the process of getting setup and acclimated to the vehicle easy and smooth. Again - I owe a huge thanks to Nathan Lloyd for not only being able to get me into one of these cars at all, but this quickly and at a fantastic price - it was easily my best car buying experience. Why is it that same dealership like this continues to disappoint. Boise Audi has KBB on their website all over but they don't even honor that. We didn't even drive for more then a year and he drove it I think not for to long! I brought it to them to see if we can get the t trade it in . They offered us 800$! Long story short, I sold that same car for around 10000$! How is that for justice and customer service! HEY YOU ! don't walk away from this "DEALER" "RUN - RUN" as fast as you can! they lie they cheat and if you buy from them you've been had. I leased an Audi Q4 etron from them. The sales guy was very congenial and helpful " I THOUGHT ". I had a stroke late summer of 2022 and I needed an automobile that was reliable and dependable. I needed an automobile that had certain safety features. Upon speaking with the sales person he assured me that the Audi Q4 that he showed me would do all the things that I needed it to do. After a few days of driving it i Found it did not have most of those features. So I went to the sales manager and asked him to resend the transaction. He said that the problem was mine. But that he would move me into an upgraded Audi Q4 prestige that had the features that I needed. So I said OK as I had no choice. After driving this automobile I found that it did not have some of those special features. I went to the dealership and asked the sales manager. If the sales person that sold me the car could help me and show me those features that they both said that this automobile had. The sales manager told me that they had fired that sales person because they he lied to me. I again asked to resend this deal. He told me no no no. The sales manager then told me to find somewhere else to deal with. One of the things that I liked about the car was that I could charge it in my garage. The thing that I don't like is that I got a recall on the second Audi. The recall said you can't charge the car in your garage. It said that it could feedback into the other electrical system and perhaps start fires. Audi does not have a fix for this problem and they don't know when they will. This automobile has multiple problems. The drivers assistance package does not operate the way that it supposed to. I get warning, lights and malfunction warnings . This Automobile was sold to me with the understanding that with 100% charge you would get 295 miles. But Audi only wants you to charge it to 80% of its capacity at this time on a 78% charge I get 95 miles, I have been reluctant to have this Audi dealership service this automobile as the sales manager has been a professional boxer and he told me to go somewhere else. He is intimidating and frightens me. Twin Falls is 130 miles from Boise. The car will not get me from Boise to Twin Falls on an 80% charge , I have decided to take this issue to the Idaho State attorney general . I have tried to work with the dealerships general manager. BLUF: Do not buy or have a car serviced by this dealer. See the guys at the Quattro shop for Audi service. I had been receiving recall notices from Audi to contact my dealer to get my Takata airbag replaced in my 2012 Audi A3, so I called Audi Boise to schedule the service. The person I talked to suggested that we allow a couple of weeks to make sure the part arrived. Yesterday I called Audi and asked if the part was in fact available to make sure I didn't waste a trip and was told yes, the part was ready. This morning I arrived and the service rep, Donna, told me that they aren't even doing airbag recalls on A3s yet, as if I should have known this. Audi USA told me to contact my dealer for service, the dealer scheduled the service and then confirmed it to me, then proceeded to waste 2 hours of my day. I went to speak to the manager (Darrin, introduced himself as the GM) and told him what was going on and all I got from him was a "Yeah, I see what you mean" as opposed to an apology or a "How can we make this right for you?" This isn't my first run in with Donna - in February I had a door lock go faulty and took it to Audi Boise to fix it. Audi Boise charges an outrageous $124 "diagnostic fee" on top of any actual work (plus will chip you for a "shop charge" which was explained to me as covering the cost of gloves and paper towels). I grudgingly accepted that and when the time came to pick up the car, Donna told me that I needed a door control module for the door lock, that they'd performed the airbag recall (they had not actually done the work and it said in the notes that the parts were not available, would be available in April, which we now know was another lie), and then gushed over all of the services they were "recommending", including a cabin air filter replacement at $62 + parts (it takes less than 5 minutes to change this out, which I'd done about a month earlier) and a tire rotation, which was curious because the tires were recently mounted within the last 1000 miles. Donna told me I had to purchase the part separately from their service department (which was weird), and the price seemed very high. I did a search and found I could buy the exact same OEM part for HALF of what Audi Boise was quoting. I ended up taking the car to The Quattro Shop. The kicker? They told me (without charging me $131.89 to diagnose it) that there was nothing wrong with the part Audi Boise charged me to diagnose, but rather a different component was bad. I ended up getting the correct part at a lower price, and even adding Audi's diagnostic fee to the total bill, the Quattro shop was cheaper by half than having the work done by Audi. If you're into paying for a lot of add-on services that you probably don't need, by all means Audi Boise is the place for you. If you want your car to actually get fixed, look elsewhere. read more

One star rating only applies to the service mechanics that worked on the car. I dropped off the q7 to have it buffed and detailed. Once the q7 was done, I gave it a quick visual inspection. Attached are two photos. First one is the driver's side Quattro door mold. I specifically said don't bother touching these panels since they're plasti dip, which can easily be marred and scratched. Apparently, they still touched it with an orbital. Second pic looks like they hit the trunk with the side of the orbital while buffing and made deep scratch through the paint. We went to Boise Audi to look at a used S5Audi prestige trim. Their price was set 1000$ over KBB low book, over the phone, I sent pics of our 19 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited. Their estimate was low book. I proceeded to wait 5 days for the dealer to inspect and certify and detail the S5. We then drove 4 hours to go make a deal. The car was in good condition minus a very bad curb rash on right front wheel, and missing spare tire clamp nut for the hatchback spare stow. The dealer supplied the nut, and then knocked our trade value 2k below low book. Now our jeep has a couple scuffs and door dings, but at 23k miles it's an excellent mid book value 4WD v8 SUV. I attempted to negotiate for the book price, no. I attempted to pay asking and have a rim supplied to me, no. They do not care period. The price is the price. We reluctantly made the deal and are taking the S5 to a local shop for a real inspection as the dealers was virtually an oil check, air in the tires, and rear brake pads, no oil analysis, no compression readings, no recall info. Nada. The one positive thing was our salesperson was extremely polite. Even when i became frustrated with lack of cooperation. Nevertheless, I don't care how far I have to travel in 2-4 years to buy my next brand new Audi, but I'm never settling foot in Boise Audi again. Sorry this is so long, but it was a hot mess! Wish I could give O stars. Well, to start, we traveled many hours to get to this dealership to get our ordered car. We already had the finances/payment worked out before arriving. Should have been easy, right? We were going to get the Audi Care and warranty (which we were explained as an extended warranty, but ended up being overlapping). We show up at the dealership and the salesman basically walked us past the car, "Doesn't it look nice?" Lets me sit in it for a couple minutes. I asked him some questions about the car (that we doesn't know how to answer), he quickly changes some settings on the car, and he frantically tells me that we should go sign the paperwork. He was scatter brained throughout this whole purchase, from beginning to end. Maybe the 1 star can be for him ordering the car properly.... Well, this is where the fun begins...the terms of the loan and the payment were way off from what we agreed to. The manager just stands there (our salesman has his head down and covered up, which only makes me think he totally screwed up) and says, "what do you want?" Ok, I would like the agreement to be honored. Since they couldn't honor their agreement (and they gave us no other way of making good on their agreement) we couldn't get their extended (not really extended) warranty and had to put down way more money than we wanted to!!! As I was reading some of the papers, the financing lady printed off wrong amounts on the paperwork she was expecting me to sign and kept saying it was the program. I felt like they didn't want us to buy the car so they could get more money out of it!! Really disappointed. I definitely learned my lesson to not trust dealerships!!! We thought we should have gotten it financed with our bank before leaving to get it, we definitely should have done that instead! When I bought my used car (Toyota 4Runner) here 5 years ago, I was blow away with the service and the salesman. I felt it was a fair trade-in, and was super happy with my purchase. HOWEVER, I am so incredibly disappointed with the service department. I purchased a service pack that was wrapped into my loan. This allowed me oil changes when appropriate. But literally every time I made an appointment for the oil change, it would take 60-90 minutes, if not more, for the service to be complete. I would recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership, but I would *highly* recommend NOT purchasing a service plan. read more

We had a positive experience purchasing an Audi Q7. However, since then, we have had more issues with the Q7 than any other vehicle I have owned in my life and the repairs/servicing is very expensive in the Service department. They are also not very accommodating. We've had to replace parts that should not require repairs (vent fans, windshield wiper engine, etc.) After just paying to have one of our regular services completed for $400 (in addition to replacing the brakes for $1600), the vehicle is now leaking coolant. After calling today, we will need to now pay an additional $140 diagnostic fee (again, even though it was just serviced) as well as $20 for a loaner vehicle. You're really going to stick someone with $20 for a loaner vehicle when they paid $50K+ for a vehicle from you? I will never buy a vehicle from them again after experiencing all of the repair costs. read more

Because of this process, I really had a great opportunity to see how dealerships operate. Granted, when you're potentially buying a vehicle you get their level best. However, I have a lot of respect for Audi of Boise, our sales associate Nick and their Sales Manager Ivan. They were patient, professional and very fair with the pricing of the vehicle and the deal they gave my parents. The information is readily available now online as to how much one should pay, and Audi of Boise was one of the only dealerships we visited who didn't pretend that this wasn't the case. The vehicles are priced fairly, AND they were willing to negotiate in a low pressure, transparent fashion. Audi is an excellent brand, uniformly praised and highly rated by everyone from Car and Driver to Consumer Reports. At the end of the day, I just want to feel like a valued client, regardless of who I do business with. If you make me feel like you value my business I'll tell the whole world about you. Unfortunately, I only felt valued up until the sale was made. Something so simple has turned potential life long clients into clients who won't be buying any more Audi's from Boise Audi. Not having an Audi dealership nearby, I contacted a few dealerships within a 4 hour drive. I wanted a specific vehicle and wanted a certain dollar amount for our trade. Audi Boise had the vehicle we wanted and was able to get us close to the dollar amount we wanted for our trade. We came to an agreeable deal and set a time to sign the paperwork and take possession of our new vehicle. Once our deal was made, we were informed there had been some damage to our vehicle during transport. Audi Boise was hopeful they'd have the replacement part in stock and replaced prior to delivery. Well, that didn't happen, which was okay. We agreed they'd ship the part to us and we'd have it installed at a local VW dealership, who could easily install the replacement part. Additionally, during delivery, we noticed some spots on the rear 2 corners of the vehicle that looked a bit greasy. The salesman indicated that was probably some tire shine or something from when the vehicle had just been detailed. During the vehicle's first hand wash at home, these were spots on the vehicle that most likely experienced paint damage during the transport that also caused the other damage to the vehicle. Well, a couple of months had gone by and we hadn't heard anything from Boise Audi regarding our replacement part. I called our salesman to inquire and to share with him the misdiagnosis of the paint issues we had pointed out during delivery. He said we should be able to take it to a local body shop who could fix the paint issues and install the replacement part they'd informed us about prior to taking delivery. He indicated he'd inquire within to see where the replacement part is and get back to us. Within a day I received a message from his manager indicating we'd have to bring our vehicle back to Boise and leave it for a few days. He said they'd provide a loaner vehicle during this period. I sent an email reminding them we agreed to having the work done locally and to inform them we don't have the time available to make the 2 round trips to Boise. I offered to let them pick the vehicle up and deliver it, if they really had to have the work done in Boise. That was 8 days ago and we haven't heard a peep from them since. As I started with, we do not feel like a valued clients. That's unfortunate for Boise Audi, as this won't be the last new Audi we purchase. read more

2 months after buying my 'new to me' used car, the passengers side mirror insert popped off while driving home from work. Called the salesman JD. He never returned my call. Less than a week later the starter went out leaving me stranded at a gas station. Had the car towed back to the dealer which thankfully they fixed and assured me they'd fix the mirror while it was in their shop for a week. Got it back and no still no mirror even though I was told they had two in stock. After another unreturned call to JD my husband went to autozone and picked up a mirror for 24$ and put it on. Not a big deal but the certainly has me rethinking any more purchases at this dealer. Sucks for them as I love my audi and can't wait to buy brand new on my next purchase but you can guarantee I won't be going through them (over 24$, but hey, it's the principal). I recently purchased a 2002 Audi all road from a private seller. Among a few other things, the car needed new front rotors and break pads, aswell as new tires before i was able to take it on a road trip. I took the car in on 12/05/19 for the break pads, rotors, and tires. The job took two days as the tires had to be shipped from Washington, which i completely understand. The reason for me giving Boise Audi a bad review is the result of what happened after i got my vehicle back. My passenger rear hubcap was missing from the rim. I later found that underneath the passenger seat, Would have been nice for a tech to leave a note ensuring replacement, or at the least letting me know that they broke it. Then, on my road trip, not even 50 miles into it, I feel the rotors warbling under heavy breaking, almost as if they are Warped! I called the dealership the following monday and left my service advisor, i believe her name is Chelsea, a voicemail about the hubcap and the rotors. two days passed and i still had no reply, so i left another voicemail on wednesday. STILL no reply, So i then left a third voicemail. she never got back to me, so i took it up to myself to get ahold of the service manager. I cannot recall a name for him, however he did help me by booking me for an appointment on 1/06/20 for an inspection of the rotors. I am very disappointed with the service department and their lack of communication with me. I planned on investing a good chunk of change into this audi, however with this being my first experience at this dealer i am NOT impressed one bit. read more

The absolute WORST service department! Even when I bought my Audi I was told the brakes were replaced, only to find out a week later from the shreaking metal on metal that they never were replaced. Went back, and thankfully they got replaced. I have taken my car there several times since, receptionist is always nice, but that is about where the good service stops. Ever appointment takes 2x longer than quoted. The final straw was my Audi being wrongly diagnosed THREE TIMES as my car sat there for over 1 month. I was even told "the tech doesn't know much about aftermarket parts" as I questioned what was taking so long (my car is tuned). So why in the world would they let their tech mess with my car when they even admit they are not qualified???!!!!! $4,000 later I had my car towed to a shop that could, and would, fix my car without the run around........... read more

In 2018 we were sold the last on their lot 2016 TDI A6, it had been part of the lawsuit over the diesel issue. The car was 2 years old when we bought it and had 385 miles on it, so it sat around outside a lot without being driven. Fast forward almost 2 years later with a little more than 16000 miles on it and we are told the brakes need to be redone. Really!!!! 16000 miles and brakes are bad, rotors were pitted, warped and grooved??? By the way that will be 1800$ since you are out of the new car warranty. I freaked out of course as this is ridiculous for a car to have the brakes need replaced after such a short time. Of course we were given the run around about performance brakes and blah blah blah... Well I did my research and it's an issue with these cars, and it sitting for so long didn't help them. They offered to pay for half and no more... so now I am gonna spend 900$??? I don't think so! I was offered 800$ for my 8 year old Audi A4. Coming here to practically buy a new SUV was a biggest awakening how this people are. My salesman told me how he would tell his friends if you have an Audi this old park it or sale it. When I went to a dealer down the street and told them what just happen he laughed. I would never come to this place again. Seeing here how many good people here we're lowballed It makes me sick. I only wish I did my research on google or yelp before I came to them. read more

Gf came in to get headlight fixed, was charged, and left assuming it was working. Noticed 12 hrs it was not working. Brought it back following weekend. Chris comes out and states "we looked you up" like insinuating he knew what was happening. We then tried telling him they didn't fix the right bulb because it wasn't working. He immediately stated it was the bulb that burnt out w/o checking. Kept making statements like "it's happened before" we started to feel like he was saying we were wrong and he was right. He had an attitude at this point so we got a bit more frustrated. He finally decided to take it back and look and then he decided to say it WASNT the bulb after all and it was "a more internal issue, in which a tech was needed" we proceeded to ask them if it was an internal issue and you 100% tested it before leaving the lot, wouldn't someone have told us about that? He said "we always do" so I said in this case it was the one time you guys didn't. He then started back tracking and finally said his customer service manager was on his way. The customer service manager fixed in 5 minutes. It was a simple hack trick and nothing was actually wrong with the lights!! Thank Rick for helping us out, and maybe Chris and his tech boys learned something new about customer service and a 08' convertible bug. 1 star for the 1st and 2nd impression of Chris but 5 stars for Rick! read more

I had an amazing experience buying my A3 with Heather. I have brought it back several times to get it serviced and even bought parts here. Every time I come they make it seem like I know nothing about my car. I am currently waiting for them to test a 6 month old battery that I got here. I have been here for a little over 2 hours and I was told it would take 5 minutes. I also live 45 minutes away and it is not a minor inconvenience to stop by this shop. I am now being told that the battery most likely will not be covered under warranty and they have no records of me purchasing it on my account. They also want to charge $180 of service fees to replace the battery. I had the same conversation with the parts guy and service advisor over and over again before we finally got somewhere. Very unprofessional service!!! I WILL NOT be bringing my car back if this does not get taken care of properly. I would be happy to change my review if I get better service. read more
