Went there to get our 2021 A6 an oil change and tires rotated. Get a email/ video that the inside of the tire is worn to steel and the brakes needed to be flushed. Told them no, just the oil change. Took the car to a local Goodyear Tires and had them raise the car, nothing wrong with the tires. Had the Goodyear manager look at the picture of the tires and he said those aren't even the right size or make. I am extremely disappointed. We own both Audi and VW and will not be visiting this dealership again some hey share service bays. I'll drive to the Concord Audi. At least they don't lie to me so blatantly. read more

In 2023, I purchased a used 2019 Audi A6 with 33k miles from Fairfield Audi based on their reputation and my previous experience with them. However, after driving just 20k miles, their service department told me I needed a new engine due to scoring on the cylinder walls, with a repair cost of $36k--more than the car is even worth. When I asked how this could have happened or if there were any fault codes, they gave me vague and unhelpful responses like, "you just got a bad egg from the manufacturer" or "it just happens." These answers were neither informative nor professional. Given the car's relatively low miles, and me being a returning customer, I asked for assistance with the financial burden. Audi corporate offered just 10%, and the dealership only provided another 10%. While I understand that issues can arise, it's hard to accept that this should be my responsibility when there were no indications of trouble, and I've always kept the car well-maintained and serviced on time. Overall, while you might see positive reviews for the car-buying experience, don't expect that same level of support from their service department if something goes wrong. Most awful dealership I have ever dealt with, including both luxury and non luxury dealerships. David Uva, manager, is unprofessional and doesn't return calls. I drive a dangerous car for close to 3 years and once the problem was diagnosed, after having the car in 6 times, I read that had I had a crash, the defect would have likely caused a fatality to the passenger. They ignored all of my descriptions of the car issues for all this time. Once it was finally rectified, after hours and hours of my time wasted as well as miles driving back and forth to the dealership, the only thing I asked was for them not to charge me a lease turn-in fee given all the issues. Initially, someone contacted me & took my questions & said she'd forward my info to another person that could help me with my purchase of a high end C6 Corvette Z06. I ended up trying to contact this dealership several times to get answers to my questions and always got the same answer... which was that someone would contact me soon. What a disappointment. My wife and I traveled an hour to visit this dealership only to wish we hadn't. To begin with, we planned a trip out there to see two cars that were on their website's inventory. Upon arriving, we briefly browsed the parking lot and found one of them but didn't see the other so we proceeded inside. Once inside I approached the main desk and met the salesman Mark. He didn't seem too thrilled to talk to us but I still tried to make the best of it since we had traveled all that way. I immediately let him know why we were there and that I was looking to see a specific color/model that was listed on the website. I repeated the name of the color about three times and he still gave me a blank look as to what I was referring to (shouldn't you know more about the cars than I do since you work there?) After a few minutes on his computer he let me know the car was sold and already off the lot. Cool, no problem, I understand things like that happen. So I asked if we could check out the other car (S7) that we came here to see. He soon suggested we might like a different model (S4). I see no harm in that, it was roughly in the same price range so why not. Let's check out both. He agrees. *** Here's the best part: As we head outside he says "Let's take out the S4 first (not the car we originally drove out an hour to see) and then I'll let you sit in the S7." Wait. Did you just say we can "sit" in the other car? What am I, 12? Okay, sure I'll go along with it. But then he goes on to say "Sorry, it's just really busy here today" so I reply with "Right, and since we aren't buying anything today we aren't priority." (I mentioned at his desk that I do very thorough research before making any decisions, especially $60,000 decisions). He didn't say a word. Now to be fair, the S4 was fantastic. Again, I felt like I knew more about the car than him, but that's fine, I'm into cars, maybe he isn't...even though that's his job. And after sitting in the S7 I did realize it felt a bit outdated. But don't you think, as the one considering the purchase, that I should be allowed to take the car out for a spin to come to my own conclusion? Apparently not, because I just got to sit there and make vroom vroom noises. As we walked back inside his complete lack of interest in us became very apparent. I shook his hand and thanked him for his time and showing us the cars and asked for his card. His reply? "I'm the only 'Mark' that works here." Wow. Way to earn my business, Mark. SERVICE CENTER REVIEW: I brought my A4 in for routine service and upon picking it up in the afternoon I was surprised to find someone's lunch and a full can of beer sitting on my passenger seat. Along with the items in my backseat being strewn about as if someone was rummaging through them. Not what I was expecting after having spent approximately $2000. I didn't have time to make a fuss as I was late for a meeting but I brought the lunch and beer into the man that had been assisting me and managed to say "this is completely unprofessional" with a confused and disappointed look on my face. He had the same look I did. I contacted the service manager, John Andersen, the next morning via email (with photo attached) and he responded 3 days later apologizing for the incident and that he would let me know what happened as soon as he did. Still not hearing anything, I emailed again 6 days after that asking for an update ...no response at all from John Andersen. Instead, I get an email 2 days following, from the "Loyalty Team" asking me to call them regarding my experience. 1. Someone should have contacted me immediately 2. Audi service should've had me bring my car back in to double check everything 3. I shouldn't have to be inconvenienced to find out why there was someone's food and a beer in my car. It should be resolved immediately. 4. I shouldn't have to be writing this review, but, with no actual action taken by the service center, here I am. 5. The saga with the rattle in my 2018 Q7 premium hatch continues... Well they took the car to fix the rattle. They accommodated me on a Saturday, (I have no clue why I should feel accommodated because as far as I am concerned you address a customers concerns whenever, remember they told me " we don't do rattles on Saturdays"). They gave me a loaner in case they had to keep it longer. After about an hour I got an excited call from Robert the issue was fixed. Apparently there were lose clips. I drove the car home parked it and went on a business trip. Today is the first day to drive it any great amount and if possible the rattle is now LOUDER than before. I called Robert and got voicemail. The I called service and spoke with Julie, who said she would escalate the issue and get someone to take the car and test drive with me. Still no call. I hate to make a big deal but sometimes I don't want to have to blast the radio to get a serene ride. Further I bought the car in June and it never did this before until the issue with the truck latch. So I have a $50,000 luxury car that sounds like a Yugo or better yet a Pinto! (sigh) read more

I dropped my car off on Wednesday at 1:00pm (I booked an appointment online) because the check engine light was on. I heard nothing that day, which was fine. The next day I still heard nothing by 2:00pm so I called three times Thursday, left messages each time and still heard nothing back regarding my cars status and never, received a return call. Friday morning I called two more times and left messages. Finally my husband called and I called and spoke to a dept manager Friday afternoon. I have never dropped my car off for service and heard nothing for two days. When we finally heard back they of course had a whole plethora of repairs we supposedly needed. After two days of my car just sitting there. And to leave over 6 messages and receive no callback is unacceptable. We have been taking our Audi here since 2014. I won't be returning. Terrible customer service and runaround. They assign You to "service manager", why I have no idea since he refused to return our calls for two days. When I called and finally spoke to the department manager he claimed they are "very busy" and backed up. Why make an appointment then? And then why not manage expectations? Call or text with updates at least. 48 hours of total silence is unacceptable. And when I picked my car up Friday evening there were black smudges all over the leather of my front passenger seat. And the car was not cleaned, which they claim to do after they service it. In fact it was in worse shape then when I dropped it off. Total amateur hour and not what you'd expect a luxury car dealership. They lost a customer of 8 years. read more

Purchased my Jaguar F-Type From this dealership, the only reason why I'm giving 3 stars is because they somewhat fixed the issue. Michael my salesperson was nice and courteous until the car came in my driveway then he decided not to help at all and just told me to go look for his manager. So the car was shipped to my home, and that's when everything went downhill, the grill was cracked, the tires were 7 years old, there was no back up camera (when advertised with one) The gas tank was empty, The service light was on and the Engine check light was on Great! When I told Michael all about this he started coming up with excuses etc, I fixed all the issues and presented the bill of the tires and the service light and check engine light Not much I can do about the grill or backup camera and meh forget about the gas $60 won't break the bank. Apparently Eric the GM was out sick and no one told me when I kept sending email to him. I finally called the dealership and Sales Manager Rafael Helped me out. (Keep in mind I purchased my car In November just this morning I finally received my check) Got reimbursed for the tires and repair bill, but after so much headache Will I ever buy or recommend this place NO, but at least they have good ethics to at least reimburse the repair bill / tires. read more

NO GAS IN THE CAR FOR A SCHEDULED TEST DRIVE! THE WORST experience that I have had with any car dealership; and we had been narrowing our search for our next vehicles for several weeks! We finally had narrowed our selection to our top pick (Audi Q5) with black exterior and Okapi brown interior. Unfortunately, our local Audi dealer did not have the precise trim and exterior/interior combination we wanted - but the Fairfield dealership did. First, I texted and emailed with Kim to confirm that all three vehicles we wanted to look at were still available and on the premises. She confirmed via both text and email. Then, I responded to say that we would be coming in the following evening after work, and noted that they are over an hour from us so we would not be there until about 6. I asked her to respond to confirm our appointment. NOTHING, she was MIA. Next, I called and spoke with a salesperson. From this point, I will refer to him as Newman. I provided him with the same information as I did Kim, but added that we were very interested in THAT vehicle, which is why we were willing to drive between 75-90 minutes to see it. He confirmed our appointment. I also added that I would like to see all three vehicles side by side, so that we could make a decision on which looked the nicest (there were two other colors I wanted to see in person). We arrived a little after 6pm and there were a few sales people at their desks (with no customers), and one with what appeared to be a customer and yes, it was Newman. We were trying to avoid being rude, so we just stood around waiting for someone to speak with us. After several minutes, we just started to look at cars in the showroom, hoping that someone would be interested in selling a car that night. Nope. We did stop someone and told them that we had an appointment with Newman, and asked if the person with him was a customer. That person, we'll name Dingus because he simply said that he wasn't sure and walked away. At this point, I was getting annoyed because I wanted to drive and buy that car and we were now 30 minutes from closing. My husband and I left the showroom to go find the 3 vehicles, the one that I was most interested in was right outside but locked. I looked all around it and fell in love with the car immediately. Finally, someone spotted us and came out and we told them about our appointment and our desire to test drive that car, and the two others. He apologized on behalf of Newman and explained that he was with another customer. NOT SURE WHY I made an appointment, but okay, I had the key. THIS IS WHERE IT GETS EVEN WORSE I get in the car and we are fiddling with apple car play, and cannot get it to pair. We were unfamiliar with the area, and really wanted to use the map. Given the crunched timing because we were ignored for almost 30 minutes, we decided to just leave and wing it using our phones. I turned right out of the parking lot, and then turned right again down a one way street. The car jerked a little in an odd way, given that it is a new car I thought "hmm....let me check the gas". I clicked the View button and saw a "0 Miles". I wasn't wearing my reading glasses, AND I was focusing on driving so I said to my husband "Can you look at this number and please tell me it is NOT ZERO, I'm hoping that its a 6 or an 8". Nope, it was a zero. Some EXTREMELY BAD WORDS started to spew from my mouth, my Irish was WAY UP and I was afraid that we were going to be walking back to the dealership. We made our way back, and AS I was starting to pull in to a parking spot the entire vehicle jerked and just stopped. At this point, I'm furious and trying to maintain my composure. I walk in to give back the key and someone asks me how the test drive was. My response was IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF IT HAD GAS, NOT COOL DUDE -- ZERO MILES???? Then Newman comes running up to see how we liked it, and I said the same thing. THEN he apologizes and ASKS ME TO COME BACK TOMORROW! I really wanted the car but I didn't want that useless person to the get ANY COMMISSION. At this point, my husband politely asked him to send us the detailed cost breakout on the car (obviously, showing we had strong interest). We asked if there were any discounts or deals and Newman said no. Which was 100% incorrect because Audi actually had TWO deals that were available at the time. My husband gave him our information and reiterated that we wanted the numbers in the morning. DID we get them in the morning? NO...we got them at 4:47 pm, AS WE were signing the paperwork for an Audi at another dealership. Not the same combo, but I just refused to buy a car from the Fairfield dealership. AWFUL. read more

My wife and I went to test drive a CPO Q5 at this dealership over a week ago however could not agree on price. I contacted my sales rep (Frank) yesterday to see if Audi Fairfield would be willing to come down on their price since the CPO Q5 was still available. We negotiated via email for a couple of hours and thought we had a deal however he then asked if I was going to finance the CPO Q5 and I informed him I was going to put money down and use their attractive 1.99% rate. Within seconds he emailed me back and said the car was sold a half hour ago. Really? What a shady dealership. They wasted my time negotiating - poor business dealings with zero integrity! In my experience the service representatives were very rude over the phone. When I first made my appointment the gentleman on the phone was very helpful. Recently I called to inquire about service and the woman I spoke with on the phone was very rude and spoke down to me as if for some reason I was less educated or less respected than her. It's a clown show. I'd give them zero stars if I could. Normally I would take my cars to Greenwich because it is closer. But the co-owned Porsche dealer convinced me to try the Porsche service a few months ago and it was a great experience. ( I own three Porsches as well as an Audi) After the Porsche experience I thought I would try the Audi side of the business. Since October I have been getting notices from Audi regarding an airbag recall for my RS4. I called Audi of Fairfield around the 2nd or 3rd week of October. I was told they would have to order the part and would get back to me in about 2 weeks. Never heard back. We had a few calls, back and forth ( that I initiated) and each time was told they didn't have the part yet but would probably have it in a couple weeks. During this time I have been getting regular post cards from Audi ( at least 8 notices) saying to bring my car in for the airbag fix. I continued to call Fairfield and get the runaround. So I suggested they call the Greenwich Audi dealer and get the part from them. I am told...they can't..but...they will have the part in about "two weeks" Obviously after 2 1/2 months I knew they were blowing smoke. So I said "Sure, order the part, and have the service manager call me. I want to talk to him about this. It's been going on for months". I was told the service manager will contact me. Well it's been over a month since the last contact...no part, no call...completely inept service. Obviously I had to call Greenwich to schedule service after being jerked around for over three months. Greenwich says they have the part. Not an issue. read more

Not sure what the point is in making an appointment. I made an appointment to check out an A4 with a special package I had been looking for. After driving an hour and a half to get to the dealership I showed up to my appointment on time and they gave me the keys to test drive the car. I loved it and was ready to purchase, but when we got back to the dealership from the test drive the salesman was sitting down with another customer signing papers to the car. His response to my frustration was "first come first serve". Ruined my whole day, wish it went differently. Such a shame. read more

When we picked up the car the explanation of how to use the features was perfunctory at best. Haven't been back for service but believe I will use another dealer for that. Just a footnote: traded in the A4 for a Q5 but not at this dealership. It has been a few years now since I bought that A4 but the Q5 is gone and my wife drives an A8 while I drive a Q7. Then proceeds to get our car information and when he rang up the price for the oil change it was 40$ more than I paid last time I was there and I mentioned it ....and he said sarcastically " I bet it was" I ask a question as a customer I expect and answer not a snide remark. We purchased a new Audi from Audi Fairfield on August 3rd and our primary residence is out of state. They said they would take care of the registration for us and the tags would come in the mail. It has been 3 months and still no tags! Every time I call the person in charge of registration, she never picks up. After 2 months and expired tags, I called the General Manager it took 7 calls for a call back. We are no closer to getting legal tags and they blame it on the state we live. If we could return the car, we would! If we could go back in time and not buy from them, we would! Done waste your time with the incompetence at Audi Fairfield! Bought used Audi All-Road here last year for my wife in fall 2009. First and last time I will do so. Car had 26,000 miles on it. After getting 35,000 mile service and heading south for long car trip for Easter, we got a flat. Changing the flat I discovered two tires including the flat had dry rot. Got two new tires and on return home discovered a third had a bubble. Went to Audi thinking they would want to make things right. Wrong. They were going to charge me to change the bad tire. "Not our issue, you should talk to sales." So I did. Talked to sales guy, Tony, who was clearly not going to help. He assured me that whatever the issue with the dry rot, "there was no malicious intent." I didn't assume there was. Just bad tires on an expensive car. So I went back to Don, my car guy at Fairfield County Motorsport, who has helped me buy 6 used cars over 20 years without one case of dry rotted tires.
