In 2007 I had a new home built in Raymore which felt like moving to 'the country' after living in…read morebusy Overland Park. The first year I drove to OP for doctor needs but 45 minutes was longer than I wanted to drive so I looked around Raymore for a doctor. I found Raymore Medical Group near the house and made my first appointment with Dr. Mohan. Dr. Mohan is personable, always answers questions, makes suggestions and I have never had any complaints about the medical care. The office staff is good to work with in terms of scheduling appointments or making a change when my work schedule requires. The only problem with Raymore Medical Group is the billing which seems random to almost dishonest. I have not been to the doctor for years needing anything other than a refill for prescriptions. I pay out of pocket and the visits were $89 with a discount if I paid the same day. The last few visits the charges started to vary from $120 to $160 so I asked for an explanation of why the price for the same thing has almost doubled. I actually looked at changing doctors over this since the billing lady said she had no idea and that the doctor sets the prices for each visit after the visit (makes no sense to me). After explaining the last 8 visits were only for the same refill on meds, nothing more or less I asked what the charge would be to come back for another prescription check up...and they once again told me they did not know. I run a company and if I told any customer or potential customer that I had no idea how much it would cost them I cannot imagine how anyone would ever buy from us. I know the economy is tough but not telling patients what they are charging or why they are charging different prices for the same services seems wrong. The medical care is fine, the billing and customer service needs to be fixed.

She tells me my insurance is not valid and she ran my medicare and i owe her money. I stated I didnt understand about the canceled insurance and she told me it was invalid and handed me back my debit card after charging me. While this is going on I'm looking at the clock and it is 1.45. There are no other patients in the building and the rude nasty woman states they will see me when they return from lunch. Mind you I am ill I can weasing so loud it sounds like theres a cat meowing in the room. I told her to give me a refund grabbed my 3 year old granddaughter and went to my car in tears. After crying a bit and using my inhaler I was getting calm to drive away and one of the nurses comes outside looking for me. I was so sick I had to go back in. So I take the 3 yr old out if her carseat and go back in. I get what I need and leave. Back at the car I called uhc to find out what was wrong with my insurance. Uhc cancelled it because they sent forms to be completed and they were not returned. J called my broker...thank the lord for that awesome man...he looks up my account and states yes it was canceled because dr. Christine moores office did not complete the forms and return them as requested. I explained my experience at the office that day and he knew exactly who the skinny nasty woman was from his calls to that office for his business. He said he gave her the benefit of the doubt about her rudeness the first couple of times but she continued to behave the same way everytime he decided she was plain ole mean. All this woman had to do is talk to me about my insurance so I would understand it had been canceled or refer to uhc to find out the problem but she did nothing and never had any intention to be courteous. It absolutely floors me that their office is the reason I had no insurance. If they didnt want to process the forms then I should have been contacted or if they wanted me to pay the extremely high prices they have posted to do paperwork I would have had the option of paying. But NOTHING WAS DONE BUT CHARGE ME MONEY. Another GREAT QUESTION...WHY DO YOU MAKE 1.30 APPOINTMENTS WHEN YOU ARENT GOING TO BE THERE! Because my insurance was canceled I also had to pay a high price for my prescriptions. I have been to that office multiple times and have talked to them on the phone and they have always been very pleasant and helpful. I dont know where that nasty piece of work at the front desk came from but I can't imagine ever having to walk in or communicate with them again. The doctors and nurses were great when they finally arrived.

I can honestly say that I've been diagnosed with my symptoms almost as soon as I describe my concerns. Dr. Moore's office is also a teaching doctors office, so you may see a resident but they are learning from one of the best. I feel if I was not comfortable seeing a resident, they wouldn't have a problem with that. I have a phobia of needles and have hidden veins and the phlebotomist, Kari, knows this - no matter how long I've been away. From the office. When she sees me enter the lab by another phlebotomist, she will say, "I got her". I would recommend anyone to go see Dr. Moore or Christine.

You can talk to Dr. Lersch directly at any time without waiting, which is possible through Direct Primary Care, a unique model of medical care. This model not only allows for immediate access to your doctor but also eliminates the need for insurance approval for basic healthcare services, reducing administrative hassles and delays. Dr. Lersch uses this model, which involves a direct billing and payment arrangement between you and your family doctor without involving insurance providers, ensuring that your healthcare decisions are not influenced by third parties. After being under the care of Dr. Lersch for five years now, I can attest to her being the finest physician I've ever encountered. Her exceptional medical expertise, which includes family medicine as a general physician, along with her compassionate approach and dedication to helping others, truly sets her apart in her profession. I can't recall the last time I received such exceptional medical care. Dr. Lersch's intuition regarding my post-surgery symptoms, which the overseeing doctor dismissed, saved my life. It turned out to be a reasonably large hematoma that had to be drained. Dr. Lersch not only saved my life but also addressed several ignored issues, including a 5 cm hiatal hernia. She referred me to surgery to fix it despite other doctors saying it was nothing to worry about. That surgery has significantly improved my quality of life, as has Dr. Lersch herself. Vitality Direct Primary Care offers numerous benefits, including same-day or next-day appointments, more extended visits, various telehealth options, and 24/7 access to your doctor. Dr. Lersch's ability to dedicate more time to each patient creates a personalized and attentive environment, making her a standout physician. Her office is as welcoming and friendly as she is, and she treats patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She is an LGBTQIA+ friendly doctor and ally, and she has been personally helping me as a transgender male and has been incredibly supportive of me on my journey. Her commitment to patient diversity ensures that all patients, regardless of their background or identity, feel respected and understood in her care. I love Dr. Lersch for her clear and thorough explanation of conditions and treatments, her attentiveness to my feelings and opinions, and her kindness and willingness to listen. She consistently takes the time to address my questions thoughtfully, and she is always ready to conduct further research or provide referrals to specialists when necessary. Dr. Lersch consistently offers follow-up appointments as required and encourages patients to take an active role in their own health and well-being. In my experience, she is an exceptional physician who is warm, friendly, intelligent, and highly skilled in family medicine. Her commitment to patient advocacy ensures that your health concerns are not only addressed but also understood and respected, fostering a personalized and attentive healthcare environment. I cannot think of a more qualified physician to recommend. Dr. Lersch is genuinely exceptional, and I am impressed by her Direct Primary Care model. I rarely write such lengthy reviews, but I wanted to emphasize her excellence. I highly recommend her and am grateful to have her as my doctor. If you're ready to experience the benefits of Direct Primary Care and the exceptional care of Dr. Lersch, I encourage you to visit her website at vitalitydpc.org or email info@vitalitydpc.org to schedule a consultation!
