Yaay. Jordan seems reasonably priced and only charges by the 10th of an hour for remote help, so it's much more economical. Thankfully I bought it on a premium credit card with an extended warranty benefit so decided to go through with it. LG's site pointed me towards Linet to attempt a repair. Alex was very helpful in trying to diagnose and explain the problem. Ultimately a replacement board didn't work out, so the most likely fix per Alex's experience was a very expensive panel replacement, at which point a new TV made more sense. Even still, Alex was very helpful with my extended warranty claim process which required documentation. Alex was experienced with this process and even advised me on how to get through it more quickly by telling insurance to call him for additional information they were seeking. Got my claim fully paid out shortly thereafter. Thanks again, Alex!

In fact, I am using my employee's YELP account because I don't do anything on-line. Although Dvorson's appears to have an easy to use, detailed info website, I didn't use it because they are based in a city near where I live. I was a bit intimidated by their showroom as they appeared to be a wholesaler to commercial business's. The truth is they will gladly help anyone, with anything, with any budget. The business is 2nd generation, family owned and run by Josh and his wife who obviously learned their customer service skills from people who operated a business in the 50's, 60's & 70's when the phrase customer service meant something more than, " can you hold please". Besides assisting me in determining the correct sizes and types of shelving I would need (there were at least 10 options) Josh took my order and cash right in the showroom and had the shelving materials delivered to my house for a reasonable charge. Now for what prompted me to right a review; Because of the size and weight of the shelving I ordered, Josh used an LTL shipper. Having worked in the moving industry I knew what that was but neglected to tell my wife before leaving town what was going to transpire. LTL means less than truckload (multiple small shipments in the same truck.) All LTL drivers are paid to get to get to a location, drop off a pallet (either on a dock, driveway or sometimes street) and leave. At 11:00am, with pending rain, 6 heavy cardboard boxes on a pallet in my driveway, I received a frantic call from my wife who said, "WTF" I called Josh, who answered my frantic call with the same calm professionalism I received in his showroom and said, " let me send someone over to help out." W O W! I should have been more surprised by his response but that's the way things used to be in America, and I, like Josh, grew up in a family who owned a small business where our parents modeled the behavior necessary to really use phrases like, What can I do to help you today?
